  • After the heat pipe production and the manufacture of the heat sink and base plate we escort the cooler through the assembly process. All the component parts come together and have to fulfil the criteria of our hard quality assurance guidelines.

    I'm a sucker for "how it's made" videos in general, but when it's about PC parts, i'm in heaven!!
    I need more, maybe made one about the Silent Loop... Anyway, good job! ;)

    Es muy interesante ver como se fabrican los disipadores térmicos Be Quiet.
    Yo tengo un Pure Rock que compre por amazon y es una chulada, enfría por mucho mejor que el disipador de fábrica y esteticamente se ve super en mi gabinete!

    Alright, I was debating what cooler to go with when I upgrade my Ryzen 1200 to something a little hotter, The ancient Zalman CNPS9700 works good for now, but I've been wanting a Dark Rock Pro 4, and watching this series cemented that. The attention to detail, as well as the willingness to share the process in such a well laid out format shows you're not afraid of competition and are confident in what you produce. I'll be using one of your coolers before long.

    Cooles video!
    Hab ne Frage :D
    Ich habe mal nen concept art gezeichnet für einen gpu heatsink mit 4 Kühlern.
    Das ganze war ca 41 cm lang und wäre ein fun Projekt.
    Wäre es möglich vielleicht irgendwann mal sowas von euch produzieren zu lassen? Nur so ein Prototyp da ich denke das ihr in den ganzem cooling business von der Produktion her schon die besten seit.
    Mich würde interessieren wie gut sowas kühlen könnte auch wenns in kaum ein case passt 😂

    • @valdezapg
      @valdezapg 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It seems they do not. From my understanding the benefit of soldering of fins to heatpipes compared to just punching is slight if the punching has been done well.

    This video does not explain the curved / humped copper plates at the base Dark Pro 4.

    • @bequietofficial
      @bequietofficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's because the video is from 2017, and the Dark Rock Pro 4 (I assume you meant that one) didn't exist back then.

    • @AlexVladkov
      @AlexVladkov 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bequietofficial But can you explain the reason for such humps in top coolers of different manufacturers? I believe that this press clamps the copper plate along the edges, so a hump forms in the center. Others say that warping occurs due to high temperatures.

Besides the materials the testing the actually impressive number of production steps required and minor costs like shipping el. power and advertisement etc. do you even pay wages to those poor fucks in the factory? i know the competition and stuff but i d happily pay a premium knowing that someone can feed their kids in their shithole in the other hemisphere. Still amazing products. price/cooling-performance is unbeatable.

      Yes indeed. And we are not hiding it. Fabrication takes place in China. Conception, design and planing in germany. Like all cooler from other companies or all other technical products around the world: Production and fabrication does not take place, where the company comes from. Apple, Samsung, LG etc...you name it. That's why we have always our german product manager on site supervising and observing the production.

    • @Zyscheriah
      @Zyscheriah 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lots of production takes place in china. A lot of companies goes to china for production because, i think the cost of production is much cheaper there, lots of people = more man power = cheaper production cost or something like that. But that does not mean lower quality.

      @@NeblogaiLT If you want quality and don't have years to spend setting things up, you need an existing contract manufacturer who has experience with the kind of product you are designing, else they're guaranteed to do just about everything imaginable and unimaginable wrong, it'll be a proper mess, and it'll be an endless money sink, you just can't go completely independent as a smaller to mid size business, there's a risk that it'll just completely bankrupt you.
