I'm severely visually Impaired so I can't do this type of run I wouldn't see the steps or tree stumps etc but thank you for showing a different and very nice part of Chicago. Roger uk 🇬🇧.
really great footage reminds me so much of Milwaukee's lakefront , we have steeper hills atop the length Lake Park and residences on top , at the end of the Milwaukee Marathon run down a large hill about 3 miles from the finish along it going south ,,enjoyed watching your video today
OK a lot ot unpack here - been having some issues commenting on videos due to my other computer - #1 I loved this video - really enjoyed the entire thing. I think that bit that was in 1:30 and then all throughout the single trackish loop - is why I was saying the other day why these Ultras can be difficult and take way more out of you and makes the times longer than folks typically estimate - watching your feet, little changes in pace to get around things and bobbing a weaving all take a toll on time - but also make it a lot of fun... I dont know if it still exists but there used to be some interesting loops out near Eugene Field / Gompers park when I was a teen - however it may have been all paved over - on the Map it looks like theres a trail but I honestly dont know what its like - might be a good place for a longer run, but its been over years since I ran out that way...
First - I enjoyed that 10 minutes of escape. Sitting in a gown and medical compression socks + peg 35 … it’s a good look. Over 3 hour wait so far for surgery
Man, trail running is already hard enough (but fun) by being so deliberate with foot placement but to have to worry about selfie-cam placement as well ... that's a lot!
I know it’s not the same as running hills, but you have a lot of tall building there. For a change of pace, you could put a backpack on and do stairs. Can provide workouts for all heartrate zones - just vary the weight and/or speed. Granted, stairwell isn’t as scenic as a morning run by the river and probably won’t make for a great video, but it’s an option in the city.
The Van Peenen Park Trail is rated moderate. Maybe some work on more technical trails before the race? It's a different game knowing you have the potential to spill on every step.
Hi Kofuzi, how long is the camera stick? I hv 0.9m stick but cant capture the whole body unless you zoom out - make your road become curvy and distorted
You’re really overthinking this, no offense but my training for my first ultra which was an 80 K or 50 miles was to run the Naperville marathon. You run more than enough and more than the average human being that all you need to do is keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll be fine. All of this training and strides and speed work etc. etc. etc. is completely unnecessary, as I like to say for all races just run and be you and everything will be fine.
The music 🎶 was on 🔥!!! Remind me of the 80’s new wave ...
your town is really pretty
Love these types videos! 👍🏽
Me too. Thanks for watching!
Kofuzis epic filming style + trail running? I am here for it!

I really enjoyed that video. Thank you for making it.
Love this! Awesome camera shots...it felt like I was running with you!
A beautiful sunrise run, an interesting route and awesome music! Thanks for doing this.
A variety of surfaces is a great way to mix up training and keep it fresh. 🙌
Ko - honestly, one of the most beautiful videos that you’ve made. Definitely a video that I will be rewatching for its aesthetic value!
Finding trails in the cities is always cool, you get a sweet mashup of visuals. Good job on this vid.

Loved that tiny planet shot at the end!
Great video today!! The way You video your runs is always just so masterful!! 😁👍

That's a nice place to run in Chicago, kind of out of the city but right in it. Some clever camera movements today, it must be that 360 camera.
A different kind of kofuzi video
Awesome! Really enjoyed this one.
Elite video! I think I need to visit Chicago some day!
I'm considering doing barefoot easy runs in a field. Music almost sounds like Retrowave😍
Wow the TH-cam of the year. So awesome
Thanks Mike !
Great video as always 😁👍
What a great video! Nice run ko

Watch out for those mama geese!
Hilly recovery run? What the hill man!!
"hilly"

I got dizzy watching you run in circles. 😅
292 feet of elevation. Pretty good for Chicago.
Masterfully filmed/edited, Mike! Looks like a gorgeous day for a run. How did you like the Altras?

i'm waiting for the reply for this question as well Kofuzi
"a littel bit longer than half a mile, not quite three quarters" AKA: 1 kilometer
What shoes were you running in?
Altra Lone Peak 5
@@kofuzi ah ok thanks!
What are you using to record the video while running? Looks really cool! Keep it up!
Insta360 One X2
@@kofuzi I bought one after watching your videos.
Hill work is actually speedwork in disguise....
It annoys me I couldn’t tell what shoes he was wearing 😂
Good Morning Chicago !
