- Learning the basics of a Compressor in FL Studio Mobile properly could be difficult, so I've made this basic compressor tutorial for you!
If you don’t know what are the functions of the threshold, ratio, attack, hold, release and level knobs.
And when should you use compressor in FL Mobile? Well anytime you have an audio/vocal that has soft parts, and you want to make it louder, FX Compressor can help!
In this tutorial video, I’ll be covering the basics of the compressor in FL Mobile by explaining in detailed each parameter function.
But have you ever wondered, how does compressing the audio can make the audio louder? That doesn’t sound right doesn’t it. Well basically, the loud parts of your audio get compress so that the loudness or volume is on a same level with the soft parts. Then the overall audio/vocal signal’s volume gets normalize (the peak loudness of the audio file is maximized to 0dB) and the resulting audio has soft parts that is lounder than the original audio.

I have a big problem
Basically all of my sounds are around -10db, and it sounds quiet, but when I try to make it louder, it distorts and goes to 5db.
And my songs distort easily and it's hard making my song sound the way I want them to sound when stuff like this happens.
It happens with and without headphones.
Do you maybe know how to fix this?

Wow, compression always confuses me, I knew I could use it on a mixdown and make it loud or a track that needs to cut through the mix a little more but I know I can mess things up with them too. You explained it perfect.

How do I remove the crackling in songs? I tried a lot of different ways, but it doesn't work. Should I use the compressor or maybe something else?

how do you do the subtitle bro? the below one to be exact?
1. Upload completed video to youtube (private)
2. Wait around 30minute for auto captions to appear
3. Edit the subtitle inside youtube (there is some minor error here and there when a robot write captions for you)
4. Download SRT file
5. Drag SRT file to video editing timeline (I'm using premiere!)
6. Render the video with subtitle version
7. Done!

The factor of which the audio loudness is compress. So if ratio is 2:1 , a -20dB would be compress to -40dB because -40dB is twice (2) softer than -20dB
