I am a RN and I work in the operating room, no foundation stays on me all day as I wear a mask all day and change masks between every case and I sweat, a lot! Doublewear is the only one that stays on through that. I guessed the non freckle side to shape tape, I could see right away when you were applying that it had much more coverage that Doublewear. Hope you have a speedy recovery!!! Double wear is my holy grail it’s the first foundation I have ever tried and double wear stayed on my face in pouring rain. I tried the tarte foundation and it creased horribly in my smile lines. But from this review I definitely will try it again. Great review.

YES YES YES!!!!! This facetape is amazing for my oily skin - it's better than ELDW, BUT.......even if I have oily skin, a very good prep (moisturizer, primer etc etc) is highly recommended!!!! THUMBS UP FOR THE NEW TARTE FOUNDATION!!!
I have been LOOOOOOOOVING the face tape foundation!!!! 😍😍😍 I know a lot of people "cancelled" Tarte because of the shape tape foundation disaster, but there was a Tarte rep in Ulta when I popped in to try on the Urban Decay all nighter - I tried UD on one side and Tarte on the other and I really liked the Tarte better! The UD one looked flat in comparison and started to oxidize. I kept the Tarte on all day with no primer and it STAYED and looked amazing all day so I ran back to buy it the next day and I've been wearing it every day (that I've worn makeup) since. For me, it's more of a satin finish, which I like. It looks extremely natural! My only problem is keeping it on my nose all day - and I've had that problem with every single foundation I've ever had. This one is OK, but after about 4-6 hours, it does start to wear off ONLY on my nose. So I'm still playing around with other products to help, but I know that's a common issue with lots of foundations!

I wore my Double Wear yesterday for the first time in months and at the end of a very busy day when I looked in the mirror I took a double take when I saw how freshly applied it looked! I had mine out last November, and those first three days are ROUGH. The best thing is not having to be worried about gallbladder attacks anymore!! Anyway, you're gorgeous, and I love your videos.

Hi Mel. I had that surgery several years ago. It’s not that bad if it’s done Laparoscopically. I worked from home for a week with no driving but was back at work after that. I had to get help lifting for 4 weeks. Take it easy but you’ll be fine and feel so much better afterwards. It made a huge difference for me. Best wishes.

Don’t worry. I had my gall bladder out and I can tell you literally that night my stomach was better. Slight pain on the incision no stomach pain. So worth it!

I think both sides look fabulous but I'm an Estee Lauder Double Wear fan because I don't want full coverage. I especially like EL Double Wear Light for that reason also. I'm 74 so less is better. I am so glad you did a “real” wear test in heat and humidity. Too many youtubers are inside and it’s just unrealistic. I work outside all day in South Dakota, no mater what the temperatures -20 to 110 and I have deliberately “tested” the EL Double Wear just out of curiosity and it is the best I have ever tried and hold up to wind, sweat, dirt, humidity, freezing. In the winter when I’m pretty dry, I do have to moisturize the heck out of my face before applying, but it’s always the winner. I’m really happy to see that there is another option out there now that is a “hydrating matte”. Thank you again and I hope you surgery and recovery goes well.

I guessed correctly because the Tarte side had full coverage upon first application. I planned to try EL now that they've expanded the shade range, but now, I may try the Tarte if they have my shade. Good luck with your surgery.

Oh I was wrong! How interesting. I love the double wear but I mix it with GA to give me less of a matte finish. I’m going to pick up the tape shape and see if it’s better! Oh girl I feel your pain. I just had my gallbladder out 10 days ago. Day one my stomach felt sooo much better. Gallbladder attacks are no joke. Every day since has been an improvement. Almost completely back to normal now. Only slight pain on my right side every now and then. Give yourself time to heal and rest.
I was watching the video on my phone, so perhaps a little difficult to see the difference, but I liked the Face Tape side a bit better. I will have to try in person to see for sure. Best of luck with your surgery. Wishing you a pain free and speedy recovery.

I think its so amazing how foundations especially work so differently for everyone!!! I used Face Tape yesterday and because I have dry skin it worked totally different for me (still worked well but a little drying on me)! I hope your surgery goes well and that you feel better soon!!!
Hey girl! I had my gallbladder removed 21 years ago. Everyone’s recovery is different. It took me about 4 days to feel like myself again. I did feel better almost immediately though. My FIL was able to return to work the day after his surgery. I hope you have a speedy recovery.

Hey rest after your surgery. I had mine out a few years ago. Don’t lift ANYTHING!!! And no driving for a few weeks. You will be surprised at how often you use your abs. Take it easy. We will all be here. Many blessings sent your way.

Same about the nose! I find it helps to not use powder setting powder only setting spray

Oh I was wrong! How interesting. I love the double wear but I mix it with GA to give me less of a matte finish. I’m going to pick up the tape shape and see if it’s better! Oh girl I feel your pain. I just had my gallbladder out 10 days ago. Day one my stomach felt sooo much better. Gallbladder attacks are no joke. Every day since has been an improvement. Almost completely back to normal now. Only slight pain on my right side every now and then. Give yourself time to heal and rest.

I was watching the video on my phone, so perhaps a little difficult to see the difference, but I liked the Face Tape side a bit better. I will have to try in person to see for sure.

I think its so amazing how foundations especially work so differently for everyone!!! I used Face Tape yesterday and because I have dry skin it worked totally different for me (still worked well but a little drying on me)! I hope your surgery goes well and that you feel better soon!!!

Hey girl! I had my gallbladder removed 21 years ago. Everyone’s recovery is different. It took me about 4 days to feel like myself again. I did feel better almost immediately though. My FIL was able to return to work the day after his surgery. I hope you have a speedy recovery.

I knew it. I actually like the DW side on initial application. After 13 hours I preferred the Tarte side. They both looked great though.

I LOVE WEAR TESTS you have uploaded a ton. Don’t film a ton. You are fine and so are we !! Like a 4-6 week I think recovery. Physical wise. Worry about you. I actually am going thru mouth. I had to get dentures. Well am getting. Just got 11 pulled. So. ...you take care of yourself. Love you

God Speed girl with the gallstones🙏. I had the same surgery, so easy! I’m a nurse and I’m fighting the impulse to get descriptive but seriously, this is a simple surgery, you should be fine same day. 🥰❤️😍😘❣️

Hey rest after your surgery. I had mine out a few years ago. Don’t lift ANYTHING!!! And no driving for a few weeks. You will be surprised at how often you use your abs. Take it easy. We will all be here. Many blessings sent your way.

I have stretched ears and thought my days of wearing dangly earrings was over until I found your channel! I have no clue why I never thought to do it that way! I have went on a earring buying spree!
