    There is no other explanation:
Throwing all workpieces after every step in the dirt must be the secret of their amazing effectiveness.

Amazing in almost every video. Pick it up off the dirt, use it, throw it back on the dirt only for someone else to pick it up again.

Токаря удивительные парни. Вместо тормоза патрона тормозят руками,при этом их ещё не оторвало! Молодцы!

They could easily make a tube to align the pieces instead of hammering away for 1/2 an hour.

All my years of being a machinist i have never cranked down on any chuck like he did, that is the reason for them being sloppy and make sure you test the hardness by dropping it on the concrete floor.

why all the details, after processing, throw on the floor? Then lift and clean them from dirt - why not make a wooden shelving?

The project is quite complicated in terms of making the gear teeth, for the results are extraordinary, waiting for the next video

Nevertheless it is amazing to see how they are doing with their low level of overall availability, I would also say they could perform so much better. A bit of 5S would do an amazing job and on top they could optimize their use of material, tools and machinery. Examples: don't throw things on the ground, don't hammer your lathe, build some liners for the sprocket instead on your lathe...

These men are getting the job done, but it seems that there are better ways, even with the low tech they are using. Such as cones or tight fitting spindles to center the work pieces. They could make centering cones on the same lathe out scrap. Slap them on and bingo, the piece is centered to a better level of accuracy. Cheers!

Exactly. This is all half assed and "looks about right". There is a big difference between this and quality, but only minimal effort and forethought needed to make the improvements. Simply caring enough about your work to put in the effort instead of going through the motions. You would never see someone use a missmatched pipe in a quality shop. Every hit with that hammer screwed up the finished gear while pushing other discs out of alignment. Simply hitting a wooden block would have been a massive improvement and cost nothing.

I don't understand why you don't make a rod the same diameter as the sprockets so the future sprockets would fit precisely with no need to take a mallet and knock then around until they're aligned. It wouldn't take 10 minutes on a lathe to turn out a precise alignment rod for milling.

My only critique would be to save time & premature wearing out of sandals you should just throw the freshly turned part straight over your shoulder.

That is actually a chain sprocket, definitely not a Spur Gear.

7:35 - Throwing a finished workpiece on the rough ground should be unacceptable, considering that it is a gear blank, even in Osama Bin Laden's resting place. On a different note, this video shows the use of the ONLY vernier calliper in that country, no matter if it wasn't done the right way.

18:30 this modern technological process is called gear shaving :-), but the whole success lies in the fact that I throw the workpiece free-falling to the ground. A strange culture.

The way they treat a piece of precision equipment, I'm surprised that their lathes last as long as they do, no wonder the cost of machined parts is so cheap, you pay peanuts, you get monkeys.

Cut 10% of their machining off the job if they would just quit picking up up off the floor.
