I think That said shorter often means lighter and I'm definitely too light for my stock suspension. Will need to get it re-sprung once I finish doing the wheel bearings. (I'm 5'6" and with the bike slightly leaned over at a stop I can flat foot on the left side. I think I could be a couple inches shorter and still feel comfortable.)
I have an r6 and my buddy has a fire blade and the fire blade just feels more upright and not near as tucked in but I like the way you set on the r6 and it's not like totally terrible

This is why i could relate to this guy, because my bike is an alternative commuter if i dont want to drive the car and maintenance wise way cheaper than the car. Since i dont have a supercar. I could get the thrill of a super car on two wheels responsibly.
No offense bro, but your shifting is obviously lacking any skill or experience. You're pulling the clutch earlier than you're letting your throttle go. It shouldn't do the whip up on the RPM when you're pulling the clutch to shift a gear. A lot of people also pointed out, you NEED to be in the powerbands with these bikes to feel the power. They were designed to be ridden around the 8K-15k range bro. Also, these bikes are notorious for very aggressive seat position. CBR is the least aggressive for most people out of the 4 Japanese 600cc makes. I realize this was two years ago but it got suggested to me just now and I figured I'll still spread some love and drop a comment! Overall, very sexy bike! Ride safely
Those struggling to get insured on these bikes, get something older, and maybe try and get a year of riding under your belt on a small bike (250 or 300) first. Full coverage for a newer 2015 R6 for me is over $300. Full coverage on a 07 is $80. Big difference. About to buy my first R6 here in the next couple weeks. Super excited to move up from my CBR300R to a 600. I put 15k miles on that little 300 in a year and a half.

You might get a crazy high estimate from the company I use, and a low estimate from one I got a high estimate from. Call like 20 of them and choose the lowest.
Lol 0-60 is definitely not 5 seconds. My MT-07 can do 0-60 in like 3.5 seconds and that thing is nowhere near as powerful as the R6. R6 is at least 3.5 to 60 and probably pulls hard as hell through the quarter mile. These are 11 second 1/4 miles machines no doubt.

Is there any difference to the R6 and the GSXR 600 (both around 2008) torque low and mid ect? I’m unsure on what one to by,some say the R6 has nothing till over 10K but the GSXR 600 apparently has lots of bottom/mid torque?? Any advice would be great from someone who’s rode both

150$ for insurance, what the F, no way?????? I am 37 years old, married male, have had my motorcycles licence since I was 16 yrs old, I have no traffic infractions in the last 10 years and my insurance is 1600$/year and I can only right 6-7 months a year here in Ontario Canada.
$900 liability or full coverage? Full liability for my R6 (so much more than the legal minimum) as a 21 yr old in Texas is ~$550 and price will fluctuate depending on city. Full coverage though was like $1700+ and it didn't make sense imo to pay an extra $1000/yr for a bike that won't get ridden as a daily and is over a decade old.
Yeah the dealer screwed me. When I dropped it off they said it'd be around $200. And then once it was done, they said it was $400. Wish I was smarter back then and told them off lol

I spent less than $1000 on gear. No need to blast money on fancy gear, as long as they’re functional then they’re good. I have an arai helmet (cost over $500) but my jacket and gloves were only $300. I already had boots and I found my riding pants on OfferUp for $25
from a dig i think the GTR would be quicker and in a roll maybe the same. In this video Brian is very easy on the bike, the real power comes after his shift points. I have a GSXR 750 and i am redlinig 3rd gear at about 135mph and thats in 11 seconds....depends how good you can quickshift without errors...

Another reason high mileage bikes are rare is because they are often totaled before they reach 20k miles. I'm about to buy a 2007 R6 with 20k on it, selling my 2016 CBR300R for the same price and mileage.

More upright than a cbr 600?. Not true at all. R6 has one of the most aggressive positions. Cbr has one of the MOST comfortable riding position .

I'm not too sure. I'm only familiar with the R6 and CBR600rr. The CBR has more bottom end then the R6. But the R6 walk it at high speed

I'm 5ft 11. The R6 does sit a bit higher than the CBR600rr. Check one out at a dealer. Worst case, lower the rear shock an inch.
