Actually this is really dissapointed... Why are us laws this bad against F1 and H1B... This is not fair... This is not freedom .... If it was monetized there would have been better videos on youtube. Indians are talented at TH-cam man.

Don't risk you visa....if you are working and getting money no matter in which bank account anywhere in the world. You are violating the visa term unless that work in on campus job or internship
Not exactly correct 6:27 you can work for multiple employers, do volunteer work and even do TH-cam or start your own Business on NORMAL First-year OPT, during STEM Extension you can do all those things but you WILL NEED E-VERIFY Employee. These flexibilities do not exist on H1B, O1 J1 visas. But a spouse of an H1B holder who has an H4 visa can work can do pretty much anything.
The immigration lawyer explained it well but her British English accent and technical terminology made it look complicated... And you summarised it well 👍👍

No. Country caps. You can’t come here with the intention of getting a green card because it’s not easy and violates the terms of your non immigrant visas to have an upfront expectation of this. Also the wait is not worth it.
@@lalitac those are intentions that will be grounds for visa rejections if the visa officer senses it, which they are very very good at. and marrying an American just for the sake of visa is fraud. Alternatively love can’t be predicted to only happen with someone who holds a citizenship, and it’s pretty unfair to the other person. I’d advise that you don’t put all your eggs in one basket and plan a few years at a time. Just sharing this for you to not come to the US and experience a shock surrounding the same. It really isn’t that easy, but I wish the best with whatever you want to do, for your welfare. US is an experience and it’s easier to look at it that way, that could uplift you if you come with an open mind of what you’d get from the advanced education and potential learning opportunities. If you see it that way than look at it as the one thing that will fix all your issues or will be the gateway for you to becoming citizen will be disappointing. You’d be surprised in many ways of how much you’d yearn for your home country after 5- 10 years in, speaking from my own experience. Life can definitely take different turns, give yourself the room to flow with that. That’s all.

Hello Yudi. I have a question my brother is coming to USA on tourist visa for 6 months. He has small TH-cam channel in India which has around 50k subs. He used it to monetize in India. Now after coming to USA can he continue to make videos and upload them on TH-cam or he is not allowed ?
Quick heads-up: You need not disable monetization if your work permit is not approved in December. The law says you can't work after December 2020. Your old vids were uploaded at a time when you were allowed to work. Though new vids can't be monetized.

Another way to earn is to register your business or whatever under a citizen's name and earn for yourself. Then show as if you are working for them. I don't if this will work or not.

@@HisEndtimebride So if you're in the US on an F1 visa, the US immigration rule says you can't monetize your youtube channel. But there are workaround in this. Like the one I mentioned. When you open your youtube account, mention your home address (African one) and mention the bank details of the African bank. So basically you receive money in your African bank account and not in the US bank account. Once you get the money in your African bank account, transfer it to your US bank account.

Hey, in short he said that it is NOT legally allowed to make money from TH-cam because the US government would consider that as active income (since work of making videos is required). But if you already have a monetized channel from your home country itself, then those videos can continue earning BUT you can't monetize new videos which you'll make in the US.
Why can’t you Indians subtitle in English? It’s really frustrating when I wanna watch something and hear people speaking Hindi without subtitles, it’s probably why a lot of people disliked the video.

first thing, the first four minutes were an utter waste of time. Second, once you start using EB tied EAD, basically you abandon the H1B status. However, you can have EAD and not use it; your H1B will continue.

If you have made money by working off campus .. is it considered illegal money... if you later on put it into a bank account... will the authorirites ask where this came from... and if you have to take back to your home country you have to tranfer from a bank.... so what other ways are avaible to tranfer it to your home country????
Yudi you are amazing. So much hardwork and doing it with smile. One question I had was how come your GC process moved so quickly ? I have friends on H1B who are waiting for 10 years on to file 485 and get EAD/AP card ? Maybe you need to clarify for your viewers what category of GC you applied family based or employment based. Keep hustling.
He is most probably applying early because he is married to a US citizen and they have a different procedure for that(it is a also a complicated process though)
@@niharikasharma7115 No you can apply anytime after one gets H1B but I have to presume he applied under family category where he is eligible as spouse of a US citizen. That queue moves much faster and I think does not require Labor clearance like I-141 that employment based H1B category GCs requires and that takes about 12.-13. years these days unless you apply in EB1 which is for Phd and. super special. . I am sure most of his viewers will find out but just don't want his viewers from outside US who are planning for F1 or H1B route to think that getting greencard takes only a year or two as is the case with Yudi. Its a painful superlong processs and Trump is planning to make it even worse and probably close the gates for lot of Indians. The two decades of 'westward ho' maybe coming to an end unless the new proposed point system takes off and streamlines it for the better.

Generally the EAD applied once your are in current year, if I have not mistaken

You can monetize your video in the US too. Just don't use your US bank account or your US address. Use the Indian one

@@HisEndtimebride So if you're in the US on an F1 visa, the US immigration rule says you can't monetize your youtube channel. But there are workaround in this. Like the one I mentioned. When you open your youtube account, mention your home address (African one) and mention the bank details of the African bank. So basically you receive money in your African bank account and not in the US bank account. Once you get the money in your African bank account, transfer it to your US bank account.

If I'm an F1 student, and want to start a TH-cam channel and monetize it, and say I put in my indian bank details, how will I earn there? Will I earn based on Indian per views amount or US?

Hey, in short he said that it is NOT legally allowed to make money from TH-cam because the US government would consider that as active income (since work of making videos is required). But if you already have a monetized channel from your home country itself, then those videos can continue earning BUT you can't monetize new videos which you'll make in the US.

Why can’t you Indians subtitle in English? It’s really frustrating when I wanna watch something and hear people speaking Hindi without subtitles, it’s probably why a lot of people disliked the video.

first thing, the first four minutes were an utter waste of time. Second, once you start using EB tied EAD, basically you abandon the H1B status. However, you can have EAD and not use it; your H1B will continue.

If you have made money by working off campus .. is it considered illegal money... if you later on put it into a bank account... will the authorirites ask where this came from... and if you have to take back to your home country you have to tranfer from a bank.... so what other ways are avaible to tranfer it to your home country????

I have friends on H1B who are waiting for 10 years on to file 485 and get EAD/AP card ? Maybe you need to clarify for your viewers what category of GC you applied family based or employment based. Keep hustling.
He is most probably applying early because he is married to a US citizen and they have a different procedure for that(it is a also a complicated process though)
@@niharikasharma7115 No you can apply anytime after one gets H1B but I have to presume he applied under family category where he is eligible as spouse of a US citizen. That queue moves much faster and I think does not require Labor clearance like I-141 that employment based H1B category GCs requires and that takes about 12.-13. years these days unless you apply in EB1 which is for Phd and. super special. . I am sure most of his viewers will find out but just don't want his viewers from outside US who are planning for F1 or H1B route to think that getting greencard takes only a year or two as is the case with Yudi. Its a painful superlong processs and Trump is planning to make it even worse and probably close the gates for lot of Indians. The two decades of 'westward ho' maybe coming to an end unless the new proposed point system takes off and streamlines it for the better.
