As always, your outfits are inspiring - simple can be inspiring. I'm wondering how you manage with the length of your trousers. Your trousers are lovely and long and skim the ground. The look is chic but how do you manage with walking on the streets? How do you keep them clean? Do you just accept there's a price to pay--wear and tear--for the look? I work and commute in NYC so this is something I have to keep in mind as a hurdle through grubby sidewalks and subways and stairs.
Unfortunately, it is the price you pay. Stairs are the worst culprit! and other people accidentally catching the back of them. Obviously, when and where I wear them is very weather dependent. I can get away with black because the dirt doesn't show up, but white is a losing battle. I get most of my trousers tailored and ask my tailor to leave the hem jussttttt skimming the ground. I find this minimises the stains/damage, but I still get that long look over my shoes.

I just really appreciate when someone has a specific style that they love and aren’t trying to be like everyone else. That is you and I so appreciate it! That long line blazer with the long dress and the jeans. Oh my word, darling. I’m just about 60 and I would wear this in a heartbeat! It is so chic.
