Wow!!! What a great podcast!!! Thank you for sharing footage of your trip to Whitehorse. It looked beautiful. Enjoy your vacation and thank you for this podcast.
Leanne, thank you for another great adventure! Love your Felix sweater. I’ll have to add that to my never ending list of knits. Enjoy your holiday. See you soon.
Hi Leanne, I always get excited when I see you have a new video up. ❤ I’m sitting here knitting with my coffee. The little shop looked like a happy find. As I get older (I’ll be 60 in January), I often wonder about traveling to Canada. Your videos always inspire me to want to check out a new to me place. Maybe someday.
Amber I find such value in your podcasts! I downloaded one to watch on the way back from our holiday and the App you recommended for sleeve decreases is brilliant!
@@theknittystew That is so sweet of you to say! I'm glad that you like the app. I just realized that I can download my patterns to it from Ravelry, so I've just started using that function as well.
Thank-you for the amazing footage of your trip to the Yukon. I'd honestly take your trip over Rhinebeck any day! Small, close-knit (😂) group of friends, rustic cabin, gorgeous forested surroundings and knitting-- sounds like the absolute perfect combination to me 🤗 Thanks for the inspiration as always and hope you and Dave are enjoying your vacation 💕
Thank you for sharing your vacation with us. I’d opt for your cabin getaway over Rhinebeck any day. Love your Felix esp your short rows at the bottom. I was knitting my Felix’s sleeve while watching you. 😊❤
Beautiful Leann❤ love your Felix too. You’ve inspired me to cast on one in Nutiden. I half Lukkra single for Fields of Gold - wow I can imagine how luscious it would be doubled.
What a magical trip away. Love it, your Felix is so lovely and will have those memories knit into it 💕 fun as always. Can’t begin to imagine living in such a cold climate 🥶 Have fun in the sun, happy knitting, those Fleur yarns look so good, not sure how 30+ and fluff will mix 🙊 thanks again, Karen 💕
Hello again. So great to see the wonderful weekend away you had. What beautiful places there are in your part of the world. I hope you have a refreshing and restful vacation. See you next time. 🧡
I love how you say, 'that yarn just didn't want to be that sweater'...it's so true though! I never regret frogging if that's happening. I've been eyeing the Felix cardi forever but may forgo that piece for a bit in favor of a fun fishy KAL to knit with my Canadian neighbors :) Thanks for another lovely podcast, Leanne...have fun in Tulum !
We spent a holiday in Tulum with our grown up daughters several months before the covid mess and loved it. We rented a lovely house in a cluster of Vilas with a big pool almost on top of the beach. There s a cute little yarn store in Tulum and shopping for groceries was very easy. Oh your finished sweater is lovely!!
I live the capital city in Canada, and even though I knit all the time and have taught many to knit, a daytime knitting group is elusive to me. I hate going out at night, especially in our winters has been impossible to find. It’s easy to find a group of beginners, but that is not stimulating for a seasoned knitter. 🤷♀️. I will be part of your sweater sisters instead and watch from afar. Thanks for your fun and honest podcast. Enjoy your holiday and stay well.
Loved the Yukon footage! I just came back from Finland and I have to say that Lapland looks very much like the Yukon! Absolutely gorgeous! Also, well done on the Felix pullover! ❤it! The rich deep browns are one of my favourites! I am currently working on a swatch for the Felix cardi. Verdict is still out as my pre-blocked gauge was off. I may need to re-think the pattern for my yarn (SugarBush Rapture). Enjoy your vacay! 🍹
Hi Leanne! Love your Felix! I made the Felix Cardigan last winter. One of my favorite knits! The pullover is definitely on my list. Thank you for another great podcast! Hope you are enjoying your trip!
Good to catch up with you and see all your gorgeous knits. Your trip up to the Yukon looked great fun and the area looks so beautiful, especially at this time of year, with the autumnal colours. Wish you and hubby a happy, relaxing holiday❤
I love the mug. Gorgeous. I saved the Salt Spray and Blanket River Blanket Shawl in Ravelry favorites. Thank you for introducing them. Knitting + friends= joy! Thank you for another wonderful episode.
Thank you Ivana!! I feel very lucky to have this community of knitter in my life. You should know that I am KEEPING my eye out for Drops Nord sales thanks to you 😂
That yarn shop looked like a real winner! I'm glad that you had some time to spend with friends doing what you all love in such a beautiful place. Enjoy your vacation!
Your knit garments and the yarn you used are really beautiful! It was so good to see Brittany! I miss her podcasts... The designs and colors of the brown leaves on the branch (see 26:40) are spectacular. A work of art from Mother Nature... I'm a fan of the Cutbank Girls !
Always a joy to catch up Leanne! Thank you for sharing your beautiful knits. So funny, as you were talking about your gorgeous Felix, I realized that I was wearing mine at the same time as watching!! haha It's my very first sweater knit and I wear it tons. and Planning a second one. Love how you added length to your at the back!! will definitely try that out too! So happy you got to relax with Fiber friends. sounds like a wonderful, relaxing and joyful time. Hope you and your husband enjoy your vacation. Relax and Recharge my friend!! 🥰🧶
Brooklyn Tweed is my favorite yarn brand. I've used four of their yarn lines, and every single one has been amazing to work with. Love your projects, especially your shawl! 😁
Thx for sharing your amazing trip to Whitehorse a city I've been to once and hope to visit again. And love your Felix which is on my make list with Nutiden too! Enjoy Tulum!
It’s neat to see the inside of Itsy Bitsy Yarn store. My brother got me a Christmas gift there when he was in Yukon. It was a kit to make the buffalo check hat and some antler buttons. I’d love to visit Yukon some day
A so enjoyable podcast ! Thank you so much ! I will have a look in all the Caitlin Hunter's pattern. Hope you have beautiful holidays with your husband. 🧡🧡🧡
Beautiful knitting, as always Leanne! We all go through a few frogs to find the prince🤣. Great version of the Felix pullover! Your time with your new friends looked fantastic. Happy travels with your love. Sorry, I missed your soberversary. That’s an amazing accomplishment that I’m happy you can celebrate. 👍🏻💕🧶
I enjoy your show so much! I don't knit but love to see what you've made. As a crocheter living in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, I'm mad about yarn and love making super warm things.
Hi Leanne Thanks for giving us a tour … you girls look like you had so much fun!!! Your knits are beautiful Enjoy your vacation with hubby this week soaking up the warm rays 😊 Until we hear from you again Safe travels 😊💝
Wow, your knits look wonderful! I am so glad that I found you, now I know what to knit with my Nutiden - a Felix sweater. All the best wishes to you Leanne ❤ Love from the South of Sweden
Hello to you Susanne in the south of Sweden! Happy Felix knitting. My Nutiden felt almost too precious to knit with, if that makes any sense, but the other thing I knit with it and LOVE is my Always Vest by Anna Daku: www.ravelry.com/projects/TheKnittyStew/always-vest I did modify it and made it less cropped - but was still able to make it with less than 3 plates.
So many lovely knits! Loved the Whitehorse footage- so much FOMO! You are so lucky to have a group of knitters friends. I am pretty much a lone knitter!😕🧶 I have a Felix Cardigan on the go, but so many other knits took over and it is patiently waiting for me to get back to it- maybe after I finish 2 little Flax light sweaters in the Gauge dye works specially dyed self striping yoke yarn for my littlest grand kids 3rd and 5th birthdays. The Fleur is still on my radar too- I need to clone myself so I can knit more projects- lol! Enjoy your vacation in the sun (my kids are in Cabo right now in the RAIN, while I grand dog sit in 24 degree Kelowna weather- 😂).
Hi Leanne, Thank you for sharing such beautiful views of the Yukon wilderness. It’s our Thanksgiving weekend and sweater weather arrived in Southern Ontario just in time. We can wear our knits outdoors as we visit our family. I am so excited, I had to do the happy dance 💃🏽 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽. Enjoy the sunshine 🏝️.
Hello Knitty Stew, I am in Whitehorse, Yukon, and looked for the Itsy-Bitsy Yarn Store you featured. I purchased Yukon based yarns and had a wonderful conversation with the Store owner.
I understand the need for a sure thing in knitting. My go-to is socks. Good thing I have a sizable stash of sock yarn! Many thanks for sharing your travels. That yarn store is so cozy. I can't wait for my next trip so i can scout out a yarn store or 2.
Enjoyed this episode so much! It feels good to get a “win” after other misfit adventures, doesn’t it? You look fabulous - either vacation anticipation or new skincare routine or the glow of a fun sister knit weekend. :) Maybe I can squeeze in a little Halibut
I can't stop chuckling over JustfortheHalibut :-D Well played! Thank you for taking us along to Whitehorse. I am so into the chocolate browns...and that gotland/finn yarns is right up my street. Hope you had a wonderful time in Mexico!
Your trip to the Yukon looked absolutely heavenly. like someone else said, I'd probably take that over a big yarn festival any day. Thanks for taking us along. x
Oh, that knitting-friends cabin trip looked so cosy🍂🍁, think i should invite my friends to a knitting evening or something😀. I loved the halibut sweater and the mitts were super cute😍, my family and i has tried to fish a halibut for years and never got one, hmm i just might knit the mitts for luck🤗. Thank you for your lovely podcast Leanne, have a wonderful holiday with your husband, love from Ragnhild, Norway ❤.
Hi Leanne! Your Felix is dreamy, I’m loving the deep browns too, and the extended hem looks perfect. Well, you’ve got me rethinking my next project after showing so many lovely options. Great episode!
Thank you for bringing us along. What a great retreat with fantastic people. Your FOs turned out great. I was watching your progress of the Felix in your stories and the other ladies stories, so it’s exciting to see it done.
Happy to see a new episode. The footage from Whitehorse was amazing. Have to add that to a wish list of places to visit. Just recently had a short period of if I touched any of my knits I ended up having to frog back several rows or in one case the entire thing so what do I do, start crocheting baskets because I couldn’t really mess them too much. Currently working on the Stephen West MKAL, the Corran Cárdigan and trying to finish a long standing WIP , Sunday Tee by PetiteKnit. Have a wonderful vacation.
Great episode! And what fun to see your Knit Sisters trip that included KZip! I miss her podcasts and her knitting stories. As for the Felix cardi, I fell in love with it when I first knitted it about a year ago in Lettlopi. So, I've knitted another one this year in Valley Yarns! 😊 What a comfy sweater and it's fun to knit! See you next time! 🙋🏾♀💜🧶
Such a beautiful collection of knits, Leanne! It’s always inspiring to see what you are working on and this time, extra special because they are so full of happy memories. I’m really excited about this KAL! I want to make so many fishy puns, but I’ll save them for later! 😂😉💙
What a fun podcast. Loved your knits and your trip. Temppted by the Halibut but I seem to remember that @Carsleehandmade struggled with the yoke depth and sleeve width on the one she knit for her husband - he can’t lift his arms up when wearing it. Trust you will catch one that suits!
Oops, I forgot to ask in my last comment, if you know what the pattern was that your friend was wearing. The colorwork cardigan at 23:12, looked amazing on her and love it. Thanks Leanne xo
Thanks Camilla! We had such a relaxing time in Whitehorse and followed by a super chill time in Tulum. This made returning to work this week a bit tough 😆
Thanks for anither great episode. I've made the Felix cardigan, and love it. So I think there'll be a sweater in my future. I love yours ❤. Your Yukon trip looked awesome. Happy knitting till next time.
Great episode - I like the mods that you did to your hat to make it shorter. 👍🏻 Whitehorse is gorgeous!! So glad that you had a great time, and thank you for sharing footage of your trip. 😊 I get the "the yarn doesn't want to be this". Just tore out one sweater in progress, and one completed sweater, made in a yarn that I love but absolutely cannot wear next to my body skin. As a shawl, no problem, but as a pullover it was torture. Better to frog a project that you will never wear and use the yarn for something that you will wear. Take care, and enjoy your vacation with your husband!
Yes we get wise to that don’t we? I used to have such a hard time wrapping my head around frogging… now if I don’t like something in my gut and know it’s not going to be worn or make me happy I don’t hesitate and just start ripping it out!
Your knits always amazes me and I aspire to continue my knitting journey, trying to knit beautiful sweaters like your. I can crochet a full sweater or cardigan successfully but have failed to complete a knitted sweater. I will not give up ❤️❤️❤️
I knit the Felix Cardigan and can't stop wearing it!! I guess now I need to do the pullover! Such a great knit and great fit! Great seeing you as always!
Hi Leanne, you’re looking good I love that little hat that you have on and with the flower oh my goodness it’s so cute. I used to do a lot of color work when I was younger but my eyes are poor. I still could do it. I think it might not be as good, but who caresso nice to watch your videos. I enjoy them very much so keep on tracking girl I love to see all the neon shops and the local you know buildings and everything it’s wonderful the😊😊
Hi Leanne thank you for such a lovely podcast.Loved seeing you and your knitting friends together. What a fabulous trip.I also watch Loretta and her gorgeous daughter’s podcast.I love seeing the Yukon, hopefully one day I will be able to visit 🤞I am very excited as I have booked my flight to Calgary for the end of February to visit my amazing family in Okotoks.I will definitely be doing some souvenir yarn shopping.Happy knitting lovely lady 🧶🌺

Another beautiful, interesting podcast, Lianne. Thank you! I hope you’re reading this on a beach. 😉 ☀️
I was !!
Yes! I love the Felix pullover. I've knit two and just recently knit the cardi, which I also love.

It’s neat to see the inside of Itsy Bitsy Yarn store. My brother got me a Christmas gift there when he was in Yukon. It was a kit to make the buffalo check hat and some antler buttons. I’d love to visit Yukon some day
It’s a lovely shop! I really like that hat kit. I hope you get to visit the Yukon one day!

Always so many gorgeous knits Leanne! Love your Kyllikki Hat and looks like you had an incredible trip in the Yukon.
Thank you so much Kel ✨

Hi from Ontario! Love your podcast! Enjoy your holiday!
Hi Amy! Thank you!
What an amazing knitting retreat. Sure looks like heaven to me with lots of good food. Always fun to see what other knitters are wearing.
Thank you! 😊
I hope you and I are both over that “frogging” curse for a bit!!
Thanks, Leanne! You are also pure joy to watch 🍂💕 Happy and warm holiday ☀️🐡🐚

Kelsey is a hoot! I think I need a Lettlopi Felix Cardigan!
The Yukon looks soo peaceful. It's on my bucketlist. One day! Are you planning to attend Knit City Toronto in the spring?
The Yukon is so ruggedly beautiful. I’m not planning on attending YYZ in the spring, but I will 100% be at KnitCity Calgary in August 2024
Such a beautiful collection of knits, Leanne! It’s always inspiring to see what you are working on and this time, extra special because they are so full of happy memories. I’m really excited about this KAL! I want to make so many fishy puns, but I’ll save them for later! 😂😉💙
So many happy memories Loretta! Also I am SO HERE for the fishy puns.
Ohhh dear I hope I can be successful with this Halibut!
How convenient I just purchased yarn for the Halibut sweater a couple weeks ago!
It’s meant to be !! 🐟
So nice that you and your knittg friends got together in the Yukon. Looks like it was fun.
I am very lucky!
Loved this so much Leanne! And I feel like I especially need to make that gorgeous cowl!!!
Thank you Carmen!! Definitely recommend the joy of a Salt Spray cowl in your life 🌊!!
Your Felix pullover looks so cosy Leanne, and I love the natural dark brown colours you're choosing. Perfect for autumn
I’m wearing it right now!
@@theknittystew how lovely. I’m on sleeve island with a different jumper pattern, but determined to get it finished soon
Oops, I forgot to ask in my last comment, if you know what the pattern was that your friend was wearing. The colorwork cardigan at 23:12, looked amazing on her and love it. Thanks Leanne xo
Hi Sue! Sorry for the delay! It’s the West Coast Cardigan by Jane Richmond. 💛🤍🖤
Thanks Leanne, I knew it looked familiar. I even have it in my Favorites on Rav, for some reason didn't make the connection. 🤗@@theknittystew
That trip looked like pure magic! Thank you for great episode, Leanne. Have a great vacation!
Thanks Camilla! We had such a relaxing time in Whitehorse and followed by a super chill time in Tulum. This made returning to work this week a bit tough 😆
Beautiful ❤ have a wonderful vacation
Thank you Laurie!
I'm glad you enjoyed my wonderful city! It's a privilege living here AND we have a great yarn shop! Enjoy your vacation and the autumn in Calgary.
I would return in a heartbeat Brenda!
Thanks for anither great episode. I've made the Felix cardigan, and love it. So I think there'll be a sweater in my future. I love yours ❤. Your Yukon trip looked awesome. Happy knitting till next time.
Wonderful! I think I need the cardigan!
Great episode - I like the mods that you did to your hat to make it shorter. 👍🏻 Whitehorse is gorgeous!! So glad that you had a great time, and thank you for sharing footage of your trip. 😊
I get the "the yarn doesn't want to be this".
Love your Felix Pullover. The color is wonderful. I have knit 3 Felix Cardigans. Super fast and fun. 😊
3! I better try it!
Just last week I completed Alpine Bloom. Nit ready yet to jump into another colorwork garment. I hope all goes well for the Halibut!
Totally get that!
Beautiful makes! Good luck with your ongoing projects and enjoy your vacation.
Thank you 😃
Your knits always amazes me and I aspire to continue my knitting journey, trying to knit beautiful sweaters like your. I can crochet a full sweater or cardigan successfully but have failed to complete a knitted sweater. I will not give up ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much! You can do it! The question is will I ever learn to crochet?! Hmm 🤔
I’ve knit two Felix sweaters for two grandkids. I’d definitely knit one for me. A Halibut sweater sounds like fun!
You could match the grandkids!
I knit the Felix Cardigan and can't stop wearing it!! I guess now I need to do the pullover! Such a great knit and great fit! Great seeing you as always!
I think I’ll make the Felix cardigan very soon!!!
Hi Leanne, you’re looking good I love that little hat that you have on and with the flower oh my goodness it’s so cute. I used to do a lot of color work when I was younger but my eyes are poor. I still could do it. I think it might not be as good, but who caresso nice to watch your videos. I enjoy them very much so keep on tracking girl I love to see all the neon shops and the local you know buildings and everything it’s wonderful the😊😊
That’s awesome! I am so glad you’re enjoying the content Marion!!
