- I took Rychlík Krušnohor - the fast train service operated by ČD InterJet, a brand new train set, delivered in December 2021. The InterJet been built on basis of Siemens Viaggio Comfort set, the same as the Railjet train.

This is a beautiful train. The Boren hill is similar to the Devil's Tower in the USA and shows the volcanic past in your country The clear blue sky was really nice for the window viewing on this trip.

Ahoj, díky moc! To dobíjení elektrokol je fajn věc. Teď jsou objednány další podobné 9-vozové soupravy, které budou určeny pro mezinárodní vlaky do Berlína, Budapešti a Vídně. Ty už budou mít i řídící vůz a jídelák :-)

Thanks so much! One pair of InterJets is planned to operate EC140/141 Ostravan. For Prague - Budapest route are ordered new 9-car long ComfortJet sets with "Vectron looking" control car.

@@altavelmcnamara Poslední co jsem slyšel, tak na EC140/141 zatím nepůjdou, něco se mluvilo o malé kapacitě, ale kdoví jak to bude, zatím nejsou pokryté ani všechny obraty na Krušnohoru.
Moc pěkné video a překrásné záběry!! Tá trať podél Ohře je moc pěkná a malebná! Jsem přesvědčený že to byla dobrá investice koupit tyhle vozy, a je dobře že ČD neexperimentovalo s nějakým jiným dodavatelem. Škoda že ten minibar je tak špatně uložený, ale snad se to časem nějak vyřeší. To je určitě dost otravné. Každopádně jsi mi udělal chuť se s IJ svézt!! :D
Díky moc! No někdy bys měl InterJet vyzkoušet. Jo, minibar je opravdu špatně vyřešený, a ještě by mohl být nějaký dětský oddíl. Jinak je jízda v tom vlaku příjemná, na Krušnohoru je to určitě velké zlepšení :-)
Wow!! Ani jsem nevěděl, že Krušnohor ještě jezdí. Nebo že je na něm je vypravovanej InterJet. Zkrátka zanechávám like!

Škoda, že se musí jet do Chomutova tou oklikou přes Ústí. Dřív to jelo jinak.
@@prazakkk Ono je to přes to Ústí skoro rychlejší, než po té lokálce přes Slaný a Louny. Navíc, ta stará trať ústila na Masarykovo nádraží, zatímco toto trasování umožňuje v Praze zajíždět na Hlavní Nádraží, kde je lepší přestup na další spoje.
@@PeteBrandy Moment. Jak to může byt rychlík, když projíždí stanice, kde rychlíky normálně staví (např. Kralupy n. Vlt., Hněvice, Lovosice atd..) ?
@@vendus24 Protože Krušnohor jezdí v prokladu s Rychlíky Labe, tak jezdí první úsek až do Ústí bez zastavení, pak ale od Ústí nad Labem směrem Cheb staví hodně často, skoro jak Spěšňák, takže tím se to pak srovná.

Na tadyto video z tohoto vlaku jsem se těšil. Taky jsem čekal na to, jestli tam bude naše hnusná budova v Chodově :D. Jinak video pěkné, co se týče InterJetů, tak s nima moc kamarád nejsem, protože ty soupravy jsou strašně moc poruchový. Ale každý to samozřejmě vidíme jinak, každý na to má svůj názor. Díky za toto video :)
Díky za shlédnutí! No nemohl jsem si nechat ujít InterJet na mé bývalé domovské trati :-D Jinak také s nimi nejsem moc kamarád (railjety nasadily vysokou laťku), ale ty poruchy se určitě časem vychytají. Mě spíše mrzí, že jsou to nové vlaky, které tu budou jezdit několik desítek let a nedomyslí se spousta detailů, jako je absence tichého vozu / oddílu, neoddělené dětské kino (klidně se mohly udělat i rodinná kupé jako je to v ICE nebo PKP Pendolinech) a hlavně ten prostor pro minibar v 1. třídě.
And another wonderful video, Pete, just like all your other trips. Thank you so much for that. We also visited Prague, Karlovy Vary and České Budějovice by train from Berlin. We believe České dráhy is by now leading the way in Europe, along with ÖBB perhaps. Very good experiences. What strikes me in your videos: there are always no or hardly any fellow travelers to be seen, not in the train but also not on the platforms. Is that a coincidence or do you send them away before filming 😂? Keep up the good work! 👋
Thanks so much! České dráhy has a lot of good trains, but they also still operate many lines with old trains. The fact that you can see few people around in my videos is because I try to travel at less busy times or travel in the opposite direction than the main flow of passengers :-D But sometimes I also catch a crowded train from a crowded station, but I usually don't release a video from such a train afterwards :-D
Decent rolling stock for loco haulage. CD seems happy to continue using locomotives whereas so many European countries prefer units for almost all services. I noticed that the train was left hand running for parts of the journey but I believe right hand running is the norm in the Czech Republic. Another excellent video Pete.
Thanks so much! Loco hauled trains are good choice for ČD, because they are more variable, on more busy days, these sets are further extended by other coaches. The Chomutov to Karlovy Vary / Cheb railway line was the last left-hand line in the Czech Republic. After the reconstruction it switched to right-hand traffic, but some older sections may still be in the original mode.
Having been born in Most, I am so glad that the North Bohemian railways are getting some well deserved love. Old Eastern German carriages were still in operation there just couple of years ago. I only wish that they would finally reconstruct some of the dilapidated stations, like Ústí nad Labem Západ, Teplice, Duchcov, Bílina, Most and others.
I still remember Rychlík Ohře with A149 and B249 coaches :-D Yes, I hope the stations will be reconstructed, e.g. Klášterec nad Ohří station is already renovated (I was born there).
Great video Pete, the prices seem very reasonable, not too much for a can of beer. Also does Cheb see a lot of freight traffic? I think you mentioned that route was busy with freight, thanks again for posting
Thanks so much! Yes, the prices are very reasonable :-) Cheb is a border station and also an important railway junction of 5 lines, 2 of which lead to Germany. Now freight traffic is no longer as strong as it was 30 years ago, but still very significant.

A nice looking train, so new, and so clean. Hopefully it can stay that way for awhile. The Prague station looked so quiet and I assume not many on the train. When you take some of these 4 or 5 hour trips do you stay over night or do you return to Prague? Thanks for the tips and trip.
Thanks so much! Thanks a lot! Prague main station is crowded mainly in the main hall, but there are places, such as a historic building or some corridors to platforms where there are fewer people. Plus, I traveled outside of rush hours. As for the train, it looked empty because I boarded before the platform was announced on the departure board (I do this so often). Otherwise, the occupancy is in certain sections, no one runs the entire route, because there is a shorter and faster journey from Prague to Cheb via Pilsen. I also managed to return to Prague the same day on the way via Pilsen :-)

Great footage with interesting additional info about the areas. This Siemens InterJet rolling stock for CD is marvellous. Compared to Railjet I prefer this interior design(the wooden touch for example or also this distinctive seat backside or the blue touch in the illumination concept) - especially in second class. It reminds me to the new open-salon rolling stock of ZSSK. Though for an additional business section - regarding TEE2.0-use for example - I'd prefer the austrian to the czech version(Railjet).
Thank so much! The interior of these trains was really successful. I agree, for TEE2.0 use the Railjet is really better (InterJet is a unit designed for InterCity trains) .. Btw. ČD also ordered 9-car long Siemens sets for international services based on 2nd generation of Railjets (they will be called ComfortJet).
@@PeteBrandy Thank you for the additional info. I just knew, that new Nightjets sets are on the way. I guess - a 9-car long daytime Express is a better suited trainset than an unflexible overnight compositon.
Btw - about Austrian railways: I really like their refurbished ex-1st-class overnight seater. With their bigger additional legroom they could easely sale them as "Comfort class" - some special Euros above the common 66-seaters.
Thanks for another enjoyable video - such a beautiful route. I think the Interjet coaches look very smart - just a pity there is no bistro/dining car. That woud have fixed the problem with the noisy cart in the FIrst Class car.
Thanks so much for watching! This route is one of my favourite in the Czech Republic and leading via town where I was born :-) Yes, this version of sets is missing a dining/bistro car.. but ČD also ordered similar 9-car long sets for international services and they will have a dining car :-)

Thanks, Pete! Well, it's a classic train. I am happy to have traveled with you! What beautiful landscapes (apart from the nuclear power plants). The rivers are magnificent. Beautiful landscapes, what. On the other hand, two remarks: the price difference between first and second class is always very important. So (for those who don't have the pass like you), second class is more than enough. Second class is always sufficient. The price above all, given the exorbitant price of train travel !!! Secondly, I don't like this idea when the train changes direction, just like that. I saw that it was done in other videos also in other countries, but I did not know this system. For me, a train is in a straight line. If you need to branch off, you have to create the necessary arrangements (I don't know the technical terms) to avoid changing direction. The route is very classic. If not, leaving from Prague, what is your favorite line? Hello.

In this case, this route can be operated without change of direction, but the train would skip the Ústí nad Labem main station (which is a transfer point for trains from Berlin). But subsequently, during the journey, the locomotive would have to change anyway, so the change of direction is used to change the locomotive faster. Yes, the difference in price is quite noticeable, but if you want to travel a longer route in peace, 1st class is ideal. This train stops more often and is also used by groups of tourists, children and students, so there is often noise in the 2nd grade. Greetings from Prague :-)
Hi to you Pete, but for me second class will be enough. I like when there is noise in a train, it means that the train is alive.
Just rode them in the family section from Karlovy Vary to Praha on 25th and back on the 26th. Nice carriages and friendly staff. However the sound in the kids section was too loud. We had to ask the conductor to lower the volume. And On the way back it seemed like that some people were not checked for their ticket after Usti Bad Labem.
The family section isn't the best option to travel. I think the best are the cars in the front / rear of the train, because they are usually less occupied and more quiet.

Joo.. je třeba si užít Krušnohor zatím na plné trase, než to zase v Dalovicích rozkopou nebo se to zase propadně :D Jinak super video. Jezdím tím vždy z Varů do ústí a pak na Berliner. Přípoj ideální.
Díky moc! Jo, je třeba si to užít, březen - září 2023 bude další výluka u Dalovic :-D Já po této trati jezdím také poměrně často, protože tam mám rodinu. Z Varů je to dobrý přípoj na Berliner, ale z Chebu směr Norimberk také není špatná trasa RegioSwingerem :-)

Zase někdy je to pokus omyl na ten Sp/RE do Norimberku. Vždycky se modlím, aby ten Krušnohor neměl zpoždění
@@jakedinh2486 S tím R/Sp to mám stejně, ze západního expresu vychází přestup 10 min a co jsem se pral průvodčích, tak čeká cca jen kolem 5 min navíc. Zatím jsem se odvážil jen v opačném směru z Norimberku😀
Video super, souprava InterJet také vypadá zajímavě a pohodlně. Jediné, co se tam podle mě nehodí, jsou lokomotivy táhnoucí soupravu, lepší by byla řada 380, případně Taurus nebo Vectron😉
Díky moc! S tou lokomotivou naprostý souhlas. Když se loni na trati Praha - Plzeň objevila 380, tak jsem tajně doufal, že je to test pro budoucí použití s InterJety.. ale bohužel.
@@PeteBrandy Na té Podkrušnohorské trati se mimochodem střídají dva typy elektrické trakce (někdemezi Kadaní a Chomutovem, myslím), což také může zužovat výběr dostupných lokomotiv, ale neznám to zase do detailů a nevím, co třeba ty nové Taurusy a Vectrony v tomto ohledu umí.
@@CZpersi Ano, psal jsem to i ve videu, úsek mezi Kadaň - Prunéřov a Klášterec nad Ohří je změna systému z 3kV na 25kV. Jinak teď jezdí Eso 362, které umí oba systémy. Taurusy (řada 1216) a Vectrony zvládají také 3kV a 25kV a navíc k tomu umí ještě Německý 15kV.
Teď už jsou tady Vectrony pouze ústí Cheb 👍@@PeteBrandy

Nejhezčí pohled je, když vlak přejíždí Ohři a je vidět Klášterecká radnice a celkově celý Klášterec.
Ano, ten pohled je krásný, ale nejlepší byl ještě starý most.. jo a taky je vidět budova gymplu (bývalé 2. ZŠ) nad parkem :-)
for me is this track Usti to cheb the best of CZ. I love this Line, it wars my first trip to CZ in the 90s with an old good rychlik.

für mich ist es die beste strecke usti nach cheb im ganzen gebiet der CD, weil dies meine erste fahrt in CZ war.
Die Züge waren damals viel besser, älter dafür viel bequemer, mehr eisenbahn als jetzt, jetzt ist nur noch plastik.
This railway line along the Eger river is my childhood, I lived near the tracks when I was a child :-)

Před několika dny jsem měl tu možnost se tímto vlakem poprvé svézt. Bohužel jen v úseku Praha - Ústí nad Labem. Svezení velmi tiché, pohodlné a příjemné. Jen ta nabídka minibaru je ubohá. Předtím jsem jel do Prahy rychlíkem Labe a to je děs a hrůza. Už aby na téhle trase jezdili moderní vozy. Do écéčka se člověk kolikrát nevleze.
S tím minibarem souhlas, hlavně často třeba bagety bývají vyprodané. Ale svezení parádní. Jinak rychlíkem Labe jsem jel minulou sobotu z Děčína, to už je opravdu rozdíl.. ale dobré bylo že jsem měl kupé pro sebe :-D

I always try to find and shoot places at a time when there are as few people as possible. Also, I traveled outside of rush hours. As for the train, it looked empty because I boarded before the platform was announced on the departure board (I do this so often). Otherwise, the occupancy is different in certain sections, the most passengers travelling between Praha and Usti nad Labem, but no one runs the entire route, because there is a shorter and faster journey from Prague to Cheb via Pilsen.
I wrote somewhere else, in the EU the trainspottings or train trips (I mean making a video) are very difficult due to General Data Protection Regulation.
Thanks Pete, he is always that early at the station and onboard the train, he doesn't need to much additive works on videos blurring the faces out.

Ahoj všichni. Bych se chtěl zeptat/dost by mě zajímalo jestli všechny Krušnohory už jezdí Inerjet,nebo jestli se tam nějak střídá se starými B vozy,nebo třeba jestli už je ve většině,ale stále jezdí třeba ještě jedna stará souprava? Jak to tam teď vlastně je na te trase Praha-Ústí
Zatím jezdí cca ze 3/4 InterJet a zbytek klasická souprava (ABmz, Bmz, Bbdgmee, Bpee a někdy posilové B). Klasiky by měly ještě jezdit na R601, 602, 606, 607, 612, 613, 616, 617 a zbytek už InterJety. Ale může se to změnit až se vychytají poslední chyby a přijde poslední souprava. Jinak v aplikaci můjvlak je to podle řazení a plánku poznat, kde je ještě klasika.

Hallo, das klingt ja sehr interessant, besonders für Leute aus dem deutschen Erzgebirge. wo kann man Infos in Deutsch bekommen - früh von Carlsbad nach Prag Nachmittags zurück. Wann fahren die Züge, muss man reservieren
Hallo. Dieser Zug fährt alle 2 Stunden, Abfahrten von Karlovy Vary nach Prag um 07.15, 09.15, 11.15 Uhr ... nachmittags Abfahrten von Prag nach Karlsbad um 15.25, 17.25 oder 18.38 Uhr. Fahrkarten können über den e-shop der ČD (aber in englischer oder tschechischer Sprache) oder direkt am Bahnhof gekauft werden. Informationen in deutscher Sprache finden Sie auf der Website der Deutschen Bahn.
Can these sets travel outside of czech republic ?
Not yet, they are still in the Test phase…but you will see InterJet only on one pair of International Eurocity and that will be 140/141 to Žilina
Currently these sets are still in trial operation. But then they should have certification for the surrounding countries. InterJet sets are intended for InterCity services. But there will be one exception - one couple of EC Ostravan on Prague to Žilina (Slovakia) route will be operated by InterJet.

Nesmutni. Však vám v Brně jezdí Railjet a navíc se začnou vyrábět vlaky pod obchodním názvem Comfortjet. Těch má být asi 50 a nejspíš nahradí vozy na Metropolitanech.

Dvojka ujde a je to nejspíše lepší než původní Bpee i když na Bmz, které na původním vlaku byly rovněž řazené to nemá a nechápu, že nejsou alespoň dětské kupéčka, takhle děcka dovedou otrávit cestu celému vozu. Původní Bbdgmee bylo lepší řešení. Jednička za mne fakt zklamání, to nemohli udělat alespoň část v kupé provedení? Takhle bude člověk poslouchat jak si někdo vykecává po telefonu na druhé straně vozu, nebo jak se doplňuje minibar, který má mimochodem zázemí v 1. třídě. Celkově je to klasická pětivozovová přesvětlená roura s autobusovými sedačkami, takže nikoliv interjet, ale railbus...
To, že to dovede jet 230 jim je v ČR beztak k ničemu, když více jak polovina trasy má maximálku 120 a minimálně několik desítek let se tohle nezmění. Možná, kdyby to dali na jinou trasu, tak bych nebyl tak kritický, ale Západní expresy a Krušnohory patřily mezi nejpohodlnější vlaky a volil jsem je i když to bylo dražší a pomalejší než autobus. Nyní, když pojedu z Pardubic do K. Varů tak trasu z Prahy dám radši klasickým silničním autobusem, který nabízí srovnatelné pohodlí a je to nejen levnější a to i když mám IN50, ale i rychlejší a ještě dostanu zadarmo sváču.
ČD zkrátka vůbec neumí vozy 1. třídy což potvrzuje fakt, že pohodlím jsou nejlepší 50 let stará áčka a ábéčka a nebo pak ex ÖBB Amz a ABmz...
Za mě je to v případě Západního expresu trochu sešup proti původním soupravám, zvláště absence Bmz kupé pro minibar a Bbdgmee s kupé pro rodiny s dětmi a také Amz138 je mnohem lepší. Jinak mi ale velkoprostor 1. třída InterJetu nevadí, protože když cestuji sám, je pro mě ideální solo sedačka v leteckém uspořádání. V Amz byla velká šance mít kupé pro sebe, ale u ABmz na R15 se mi to poštěstilo jen občas.. a koukat se z Prahy do Karlových Varů celou cestu na protisedícího cestujícího mě moc nebavilo. Co mi ale vadí u InterJetu je absence tichého vozu ve 2. třídě, umístění kina a family zone bez jakékoli přepážky a pozice minimalisty v 1. třídě, kde jednak každou chvíli zatarasí uličku, a navíc člověk musí pořád poslouchat zatahování rolety u skříňky a doplňování vozíku. Také zde dost chybí služební oddíl, protože 2. člen posádky pak nemá kde si sednou. Skoro na každé cestě InterJetem je pak v 1. třídě diskusní kroužek minimalista a průvodčí, což je většinou celkem obtěžující. Nejhorší pak bývá úsek Plzeň - Praha, kdy strávil minibarista klidně 30 minut telefonováním. To je jedna věc, co mi chybí u ČD ve vozech 1. třídy, a to je rozdělení na dvě části z nichž jedna by byla tichý oddíl. Podobně to mají např. DB v IC2 Twindexx, ICE T nebo ICE 3, vícevozové ICE pak mají většinu jeden celý vůz jako tichý (ICE4). K uspořádání se raději nebudu vyjadřovat, nejhorší jedničky za mě jsou ARmpee829, tvé "oblíbené" ABpee347 a pak Pendolino, protože mají jen face to face se stolečky a je tam málo místa na nohy :-D
@@PeteBrandy Právě Praha - Vary jsem jezdíval často a pokud jsem neseděl sám, tak max Praha - Ústí, od Mostu tam byly volný kupata. ARmpee829 vymyslel asi nějaký expert, čtyřka, která nemá okna, bufet uprostřed vozu, tam měla bejt menší část normálně s lavicemi pro konzumující osazenstvo a to uspořádání v části s jedničkou měli udělat úplně jinak. Pendolino je kousek sám o sobě, rozdíl mezi třídami je v potahu sedaček... Nechápu, když to má být něco lepšího, proč tu část co přeznačili na dvojku neudělali jako 1+ své zákazníky by si to určitě našlo. ABpee, tam nemá cenu komentovat, to by mělo být ABtvee a někde na pushpull osobácích se syslem.
