- In this video we explore some of the secret CCF ( car configuration files ) in the Land Rover Defender L663. One of the hidden settings is to change the screensaver to the 007 screen saver.
Hi Simon,
Any idea when the big mudflaps with union jack will be back in stock for the new defender?
I can remember some years ago by pressing the 'secret menu' on a Jaguar X-Type you could change the screen to pretend it was now a Daimler.
Yes there were some hidden menus where you did not need a tool and could check on GPS strength etc...
You should set SVX to show the 007 screen. It appears to be a bug with the GAP tool. I have confirmed this myself on two cars.
Great video again Simon, dos this install any new features as well or just changes the screen??
Alas it just changes the screen - no secret machine guns behind the grille that i noticed !
Can you guys see if the air suspension tune changes with the other options? I would bed thrilled if the Range Rover setting softens the damping
A question for you.... there are a couple of people around the globe who will add features for cash by activating deactivated features in the car software. Is this something that can be done with the CCF files do you know?
Yes most of these guys are just changing the CCF files.
Lovely job 👍👍👏👏
Thank you so much 😊
Drive it I think it will have changed the engine parameters and the sound.
I drove it and had some police chasing me ... seems the James Bond theme changes more than the screen !
😂
Please start renting out this tool Simon so we can switch off the annoying beeps and set the modes to stay in the driver mode we actually prefer , rather than the one landrover choses . Its so annoying when the mode returns to standard every time the ignition is switched off😡
I dont think there is a setting to remember the terrain mode - apparently one of the goverment regulations for emissions etc is that the car must return to the "default" mode at ignition - this was a total pain when off roading !
@@L663 there is Simon
@@MrBLANNY1 how??
I just wish my Defender wasnt scared of shadows and freaks out at them when I ever go to reverse.. though perhaps thats more of an issue here in New Zealand than it is in the UK ;)
@@L663there is Simon , there’s people charging about 500 quid a pop , I believe they are also able to switch off the annoying beeps too
Does this work on diesel models I wonder? I have a special interest in this because the first visit to a cinema film I ever did was when very young and my mother took us on a double decker bus [Crossville] to Aberystwyth to see a James Bond film. Since then I accidentally acquired a mobile phone number ending with 007 [licensed to thrill in my case] and more recently I acquired a Leica Q2 limited edition [of 250 worldwide] 007 with all the kit including a British made leather briefcase to hold it, another Leica 007 limited edition [one of 1966 this time] D-Lux 7 camera and kit, plus a Royal Mint 60th anniversary collection of 2oz £5 coins or Sovereigns. A Land Rover Defender 007 would supplement my collection and myself rather agreeably, even if only a logo on its screen.
Outstanding 😀
Thanks 🤗
Good one!
Thanks Alan !
👌❤️🙏🙏🇬🇧
Good evening Mr Virdi !
Late start! Howdy all!
Need to try harder.....but you are welcome even if late !
