Mike Robertson who posted below is absolutely right to thank you for the effort which produces these weekly “diary entries”. What you do is A LOT OF WORK. You are both on a continuous “shoot”. The research, the shot list compilation, the running around displacing the camera. Setting things up.... tearing it down. Then comes the viewing, shot selection , editing, voice overs.... final review... uploading. To make matters simpler ... you choose to live and work on a floating craft which involves its own planning and execution. God .... I’m tired just describing it all. Any hoots.... just to say that ... having worked in the television business for many years.... I GET IT ! As James (The Narrowboat that James built) would say... Be well 🇨🇦
I'm at the 4:06 watched mark and can't stop grinning and laughing and feeling so fantabulous about seeing and hearing y'all and seeing Otis and Silver Fox! That portable cart/wagon filled with shopping looked fine as well. Thanks for this extraordinary mental health boost, y'all! You're making my Friday in Portland, Oregon, get off to a great start. I'm off now to watch the rest!
Josef Locke of 'I'll Take You Home Again Kathleen'. My dad used to sing this song to my mum when they were 'courting'! As usual a great vlog; information, laughter, double-entendres, you two and Otis. The perfect choice for a Friday evening. Look after yourselves and stay safe. 😘
Have been watching your vlogs every Friday now for quite some time and thoroughly enjoyed them. So the wife and I decided to start from the beginning to watch the ones we missed. And again, we thoroughly enjoyed watching the whole lot. Thank you so much for the entertainment and the historic info. Can't wait for next weeks one now. You've brightened our time up during this horrible lockdown. Many many thanks, Bob.
Wow. Very interesting guys. We used to live in Weaverham. Many years later we're watching from Nova Scotia, Canada. Thank you for your wonderful videos. Stay safe. Alison.
So interesting about the boat Chica. Too bad somebody couldn't have fixed her.sad to see it like that. Anyway just love your videos and history. You make me smile. Take care.😀
It always amazes me the wonderful things that were built in 1800's....what a clever bunch!! Meanwhile my ancestors were ag. labs. toiling away on the land that is now under Heathrow airport. My great grandfather managed to switch direction and he became a traaaaain engineer......for awhile! Love and hugs...belly rub for the lovely Otis.
More innuendos than a Kenny Everett show. You gents crack me up! Having learned so much from your show about the rest of the navigation and canals. I've come to learn more about the navigation I live next too, which turns out is one of the first and oldest navigations in the UK. River Wey and Godalming Navigation. I've been walking and learning more about it. It is the opposite end to where you are, but it doesn't seem many if any have showcased this section of the canals. Hope maybe one day you're back down south. Can't wait for the next episode. Love from Weybridge!
I have to watch your vlogs twice since there is always so much to learn, so much beautiful scenery, and enough double entendres to choke a horse. And then there's Otis. Thank you guys.
Hi, the Chica boat history you so diligently have told is one of the reason I like your videos, congratulations and keep up with this amazing job you guys are doing.. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🤘🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
I love this video, I used to live In Northwich, it’s great seeing the town on your vid, such an amazing town. I have since purchased a narrowboat and cannot wait to cruise back up to Northwich! Love you both, thank you for your videos, I hope you never stop vlogging! X
Brilliant vlog, as always. Love all the historical chat and the little story about Chica is so sad, but how lovely it turned out to be a bit of a tourist attraction. You're both looking very well and Shaun's laugh is a tonic👍 take care x
Absolutely fabulous, very funny, wonderful stories, had it all, romance, laughter, lots giggling, the story about the boat, would be a lovely story in the book,🌟🥂 Nicola
Thanks for 20 minutes of information and education in this somewhat mad, mad world. And the humor is an added bonus. Stay dry and stay safe. I look forward to seeing you three next Friday. Hope you enjoyed your pizza!
I can only imagine how incredulous the designers of the viaduct would be if they could see the viaduct still in use almost two centuries after it was built and that it’s now being used by a high speed train that couldn’t be possibly imagined in the 1830s! I enjoy your good natured banter as you travel.
I must have driven over Acton Bridge swing bridge hundreds, or probably thousands, of times and I never knew it is a banjo string something or other bridge. I'll have an image in my mind every time I cross it from now on.
Sad about Chica. (Gd research with pics) But great captures on the viaduct. Incl the Pullman. 👍 Hope the coos left you in peace. Another brill Friday adventure. Take care. C&Lx
Great vlog, as alway's from you's guys. Very interesting info about the old wreck Chica. It has a fair bit of history. Many thank's, & have a great weekend. Take care, be happy alway's.
Hi guys, such a interesting video, my husband sat and watched it with me as well and said how much he enjoyed it so it looks like you have another fan. Love to the three of you XXXX
Too bad the weather is not cooperating for you guys on your journey, oh well I'm sure you'll survive. Those locks you went through are huge compared to the ones we usually see you going in & out of. Hope your neighbours are not too noisy and that you have a restful few days.
Enjoyed you guys as always, loved when you guys popped in on Fran and Rich’s live vlog!😁 Funny, informative and great “videomatograhy” as always. Cheers from Florida🌴🌴🌴
Another enjoyable vid guys. How’s everything with Otis? Since my pup recently passed I watch for Otis and his antics. Does he ever bark? He seems so laid back Take care Mike
Great vlog gents, i see there's still a few who haven't got the hang of hitting the 👎 twice!! Second train crossing the train viaduct looked to be in the old Blue Pullman livery. Stay safe. 👍😎
Need some of your good luck to dodge rain storms, currently watching with impending rain from Adams Key, FL on S/V LoneStar. Love the story about Chica!
Loved the segment on the Chica. That's the sort of thing that really interests me. If you ever go to the Sharpness canal you could cover the Purton Ship graveyard.
I've had my Friday fix yet again thank you with the added bonus of semaphore signals again and traaaaaains 😊 Was that the Blue Pullman going over Dutton Viaduct? Thanks also for the fascinating history of the abandoned boat.
Greetings Faffers from France. Fancy finding 2 singers in the same stretch of the river. Colin, you were on form. Shaun, how do you control him? Aviation is starting to pick up, but that brings lots of problems of its own. Hence why I am late. Temperature here today 26.looking like rain tonight. Really interesting vlog tonight. Thanks. Happy Friday, Colin and Shaun! Saw the wreck, “Chica” first in “Floating our Boat”, and wanted to know the story behind it, and why it was left in the river. Thank you for the history lesson!
