Excellent work 👍😊 On such a colour scheme, the bike would surely look even better with a black and gold Supersprox Stealth rear sprocket, I have one on mine and it really goes along nicely with the golden D.I.D chain .. or you could try powder coating the one you already have in black or gold .. just the body of course, not the teeth! You'll find out after your first test ride, that the bike won't handle well nealing in to curves with the fork heads level with the 750 triple tree surface, but that's a "rake and trail" adjustment you'll make after testing the bike .. mine for example are embedded about 1cm below the surface. When level, the bike won't lean. Seems like you forgot to refit the front mud guard? If so, then the front wheel may have to come off again 🙃
Thanks for that info. I just had the standard 600 top yoke on it before so wasn’t sure where to set it. I’ll get a look at that sprocket too. As for the mudguard it’s still off at the painters and I was just getting excited to get it looking like a bike and get it mobile. Lol.
Hello mate. I am looking into converting the top yoke on mine to 750 setup. In part 7 you mentioned you did not get the right top yoke. Was it the case of getting the wrong year? I guess 2003 onwards the forks are wider? Thanks
Hello David. Yes that is exactly right. The newer model is around 10mm wider. I have the lower section of it that’s too wide for mine I think. If you don’t have measurements on the site you are buying them off if you study the pictures carefully you can see a slight difference near the centre of it. I got mine off boonstraparts.com but they didn’t mention years on all of their parts so just maybe ask them for year or measurements to be sure
