Hi! I’ve been following you since the AT. Welcome to my childhood home, my parents were former owners of Big Sandy Lodge. I was one lucky girl with those mountains as my playground. I’ve been excited for you to see them and Pinedale. Enjoy!! Nowhere else on Earth compares ❤

The 2 zeros paid off. You look and sound healthier. Today’s hike was beautiful; the river, mountains and the woods!

So SO envious. You are in the places I visited every year for 25+ years. It was before the social media. We barely ever met anyone. I hear that these days both, Titcomb Basin and the Cirque (and everything in between) is terribly overcrowded. I wonder how many hikers you will meet while in the Winds.

Kelly, I have watched your adventures starting with the AT. You do such a wonderful job with your videos and photography (especially of your Yellowstone safari and the Tetons) that I really think you should check into doing an article (or articles) - complete with photos for National Geographic. REALLY ! Good luck with the rest of this hike. God bless.

I am impressed at you and your Team. Are you going to do the whole CDT? I must have missed something earlier on. That is one long hike. Me I could not possibility imagine hiking 3000 miles. I was in the Army for 11 years and I did once walk from Fort Hood to Fort Bliss Texas on a volunteer maneuver to get 30 days Comp Time just to see if I could do it, but we had support of course. I did wear out 10 pair of comfy thick socks and the soles of 3 pair of Boots. I lost a solid 15 lbs of my former Airborne Ranger body. I wouldn't do it again but if I had to I would try. Anything I can do please let me know. I am going to sign up to be a patron when I get back from this fishing vacation. Today is Brisket Day put it on the smoker at 6am. Be safe.

  • @Weathernerd27

Powdered rock is what makes the river green/deep blue. Glaciers grind the rock down to powder, the river comes from a patch of snow and ice that never melts. There are only 2 places in the US rocky mountains cold and wet enough for perment snow and ice Glacier Park and the Wind River range. The zeros paid off you sound better. I trained for distance running races with my dad in high school and having a rest day or two per week was just as important as the hard workouts.

I wonder if you should explain that with the CDT, you don't have to stay on trail to count. If i recall, you can stay withing like a 50 mile radius of the trail. I could be wrong on that

Kelly I've been watching your Appalachian Trail Journey you did a few years ago. You just seem so sad and upset most of the time. It's been hard for me to watch . I was so excited in the beginning but I stopped watching . Does it get better . I live in Maryland and the Appalachian Trail has been so intriguing to me. After watching some of your journey not so much anymore. You just seem so unhappy most of this journey. 😢
