WOW, VIETNAMESE PANCAKES, BANH XEO XEO,
VERY HEALTHY FRESH GREEN HEB. SO DELICIOUS,
MY FAVORITE TOO. GREAT CLIPS THANK YOU. 🍀👍
soooo good, right!!!
I’m glad you enjoy our Vietnamese food. It’s great to watch you trying out the food besides Pho and banh mi, if a foreigner can tell me a Vietnamese dish besides pho and banh mi I would be impressed and be like “ah, this person actually knows about Vietnamese food” 😅 Thank you for making such a good video, I really like the way you express your feeling about the taste and everything 😊
I love love love Vietnamese food and I am missing it a lot. I must return and explore more
Thanks for bringing Vietnamese cuisine to the world. You made a wonderful video. Already feel hungry after dinner after watching this.
My pleasure, I’m glad you enjoyed it
I agree, these are all outstanding delicacies and are suitable for the taste of many foreigners even if it is the first time trying them.❤
I knew the food in Vietnam was good, but I didn't realise just how good it would be :) I was very very happy
Thanks for this detailed vlog. Been looking for something like this and i like that you identify each of the ingredients, how they taste like and how they are eaten. Planning to have them when i get there by nov.
My pleasure 😊 I hope it was useful and you have an amazing trip to Saigon
Thank you for sharing your experiences. We can’t wait to try all those things when we get there!
My pleasure, I hope you enjoy them when you get there, the food is sooo good in Saigon.
Great video Joe! So much delicious food there 😀🙌🏼🙏🏼
Thanks Rosie, it was a nice little mini series. On to the next now :)
You describe exactly what Vietnamese food is all about. Great job!!!
I am glad :)
All your dishes look so delicious! Thanks for sharing. I will definitely try those places next time I visit Vietnam.
My pleasure! I really hope that you enjoy them
người việt nam đa dạng về món ăn ngon
That’s right :) I love it
So good!! I’m visiting my nana in Saigon next week and can’t wait any more because of your video.
I’m defo gonna eat so much while I’m there hahaha
Side note, some people are so butt hurt in the comments section, hope you didn’t take it too seriously as they didn’t get to travel outside of their bubble so their comparisons are somewhat bias. I’m Viet and I’m so proud you guys enjoy my cuisine.
Salut! 🫡
I’m happy to hear you enjoyed the videos. Don’t worry, I really don’t pay much attention to the negativity. As long as I’m happy and proud of what I’m doing and constantly looking to improve it doesn’t matter. You can’t please everyone :)
I bursted in joy hearing that you enjoyed bun bo hue and mentioned it's on par with ramen from Japan! Mine and my husband's favorite Vietnamese noodle soup is mi quang! When it's made with shrimp, pork, and chicken - it's the best! Thank you for sharing my motherland's cuisine :).
haha it is true! I really loved Vietnamese food and I must go back and eat more. I was not there long enough
Chinese noodle soups are widespread throughout Asia, there is a lot of snobbery with Ramen, the Japanese version. (Is good but not at the level of the hipe aboat that)
In truth, the Vietnamese version, the Pho or the Thai Kuay Tillo version, are the best. For my part it is difficult to decide between them, for vegetables and meat a reference in Thailand, but for the soup and the taste, the subtlety of the bolt, clearly, it is better in Vietnam. Unfortunately in Laos, there is only pasta with little meat and lots of hot water... Communism and poverty, I imagine. Well, the rest of the Laotian cuisine is super good, which makes up for it. There is also a lot of Vietnamese cuisine in Vientiane, the capital.
In Thailand, we have a lot of Lao cuisine, (Local Nam is ISAN, 1/4 of Thailand are Lao Peapol) but unfortunately nothing Vietnamese. (not spicy enough for Thais, I guess)
I spend three months a year in Bangkok and I would like to eat a good bami or bouboon for chang of Fried rice and cocomilk curie, bami you eat un stree like French Jambon beur or Turkish Kebab, it's prety cool.
Love all the food , I’m going back to Saigon next month to visit my family , will definitely
Visit these places . Great video , new subscriber !
Thank you :) I hope you have a fantastic trip. Let me know what you think of the food.
Thaïlande, Vietnam and Laos, So goog food, I love that.... Bangkok or Saigon are my favorite place in the world.
me too! they are both amazing places to be and eat
I can vouch for the last place (Annie Cookie @ The Courtyard in Xuan Thuy, District 2). I've had NY style cookies many times during my years abroad, and the cookies at this place are definitely on par with the US ones, maybe even better because they aren't as sweet. My favorites here are the Biscoff and the S'mores ones, and I highly recommend them! Admittedly, the prices are definitely higher than normal, but you can tell that the store used very quality ingredients and each cookie is quite hefty as well, so I think it's worth it!
you are 100% right, I don't remember eating a better cookie. I am desperate for one of her recipes to make at home haha :) Don't you worry, I have eaten most of the cookies there haha, off camera of course. I was visiting every day when I was in Saigon. My favourite is the s'mores. It is so good, right?
You’re welcome! Thanks for introducing Vietnamese food!
My pleasure!
The food is made to be vital and alive, as my Vietnamese friend explained most restaurants cafes have a small garden on their roof So very fresh herbs.. Out of the 4 main countries I would rate Vietnam as the best Period and some of that is in their spiritual Happy attitude.
Actually make consider living there.. Very friendly younger women even ask me to dinner, So nice
haha you are right Scott... It was on my list of places to consider to settle down actually. I really enjoyed my time there and the vibe.
The baguette in VN is out of this world!
yeah, it is incredibly good - Love it
There is a lot of love cooking from Vietnamese people because the war with many great power last century and all the female gave all their heart to cook good food to their men and families.
they do cook with so much love, you can taste it
It's not lunch time yet in England, but I am watching this video and wished I could eat all this wonderful food. Lucky Joe!
haha I am sorry about that, I should add a warning hahaha It is delicious though. The good thing about the UK is that you can get world foods quite easily
Keep them coming mate, epic one
Thanks Max - I think you will like the next series about to launch
London, UK: Sunday evening 8pm: looked in my fridge, 2 avocados, eggs, half a lemon cake and Saturday night's leftovers of spaghetti which looked dried and boring. Dreaming of Vietnamese food. Craving it actually. Ate the leftovers and 2 slices of lemon cake. Now watching this and its like torture...
oh... that really does sound like torture haha. but the good news is, you will be able to find Vietnamese food in London. Sadly, where I am living right now... you cannot
Learn to cook bro. Tonnes of Asian supermarkets in London. Great one in Stratford Centre.

Tolles Video, danke.

Thanks for your great video, especially with German subtitles. I really miss my Vietnamese food
Glad you enjoyed it! I really miss Vietnamese food too
About Bún Chả: you can dip the noodle into the broth without placing it on the spoon first, that's how we eat it usually. Actually, I'm quiet impressed that you added extra lime to the Bún chả as it already had a large amount of vinegar itself 😅😅😅
Ah okay! Thanks for the tip. Oh everything tastes better with more lime :)
@@hungrytoexplore true tho, the lime taste is so refreshing for hot days !
I like this guy, deserves a lot more 00000s on the subs!

New viewer here. I think you do a great job of explaining the foods.
The herbs that you get with the Pho and you aksed. Its called rice paddy herbs. The south vietnam and west of vietnam regions use them in their cooking. They usually go into sour soups, potato soups and occasionally in Pho.
thank you for letting me know :) It was delicious

As a Saigonese. Banh Mi Huynh Hoa is so expensive. It should be 25.000 - 30.000 instead of 65.000 . And they just sell for foreigners.
sure, but it is much bigger than others and still delicious
@@hungrytoexplore Yes, evething in district 1 is very expensive.
what shop can you suggest?
I want that crunch 😊 on that banh mi
haha me too, I miss it
Next time try the waterfall chicken rice in Saigon. Only one place does it. Incredible and super cheap. Also Bo Ne, is super good breakfast. Steak, eggs, pate, and bread. Cooked on a hot plate in front of you. Pretty common street food you can get anywhere.
Oh that all sounds good. There’s so much to try next time I go - can’t wait
Where is that place in Saigon?
@@samrajnatarajan3259 google waterfall chicken rice for the exact address. It’s near Pham ngủ lâu street. There r videos of it in TH-cam waterfall chicken Saigon
Let’s see. 😀😀 I did also some vlogs in Da Nang recently.
Vietnamese people were extremely friendly and the food nice and the coffee delicious ❤

I travel as well often to Malaysia and Indonesia.
@@Valent_Nomad_vlog ah, unfortunately, I am no longer in Asia.
8:45 there is a dish called bun rieu which is similar looking i would say but doesn't taste the same. bun rieu does have tomatoes in it and it's pretty good as well.
Oh yeah! I’ll look out for that next time and definitely give it a try, thank you :)
Come to Saigon. I think you would love it more!!!
I love Saigon!
I am drooling my friend.

for max, decadent bánh xèo: Malayan duck, Cambodian fois gras, Belgian truffle shavings, Dalat purple cabbage, Japanese roman grapes, blanched bean sprouts, Chinese woodear, Vietnamese hedgegrows, Roman fish sauce dipping sauce w/ Thai chilis. served on Indian aluminum platter, garnished with nem chua and Vietnamese peppercorn hogcheese coldcut and English cucumbers, Vietnamese hedgegrows in wicker basket, washed down with Ethiopian Harrare turkish ground black coffee. i am spoiled.
for Joe, my sister's Mongolian rolls: skewered beef, roasted black sesame, arugula, pickled swish shard, mint, rocket, cucumbers, no bean sprouts, vermecelli. dipped in homemade satay. washed down with salted one-month lime and rock sugar. gosh, i am reaaaly spoiled.
haha this is great
That herb is called Rau Om (Ngò Om) - Rice Paddy Herb.

Healthy superfood
Yes and all delicious
yo bun cha is the best of the best :D . Matter of fact , anything relates to "bun" taste amazing
I will have to agree with you on that one haha
@@hungrytoexplore i’m part vietnamese ( my mum raised me in germans). I have a chance to visit my motherland 4 years ago and i happy to say that im addicted to “bun”. From bun cha , “ bun dau mam tom”, “bun rieu” (dude yo gotta taste this dish). “ bun mam” “bun thit nuong” “bun ca” “bun thang” and hundreds more. Together with “ tra da” , “sua dau “ or “ sua ngo. There is no denying this vietnamese people are blessed with the option to eat there. Best food - country in the worrldddd
Bon appétit!
Thank you
You make me hungry.
sorry about that haha

This is my favourite shop banh mi in Saigon, it’s so good, i can eat it every day
Yeah it’s really really tasty! I crave it haha
Good
Thanks
I am in HCMC now, Thankss I will checkout the lobster place :o
Let me know how it was
that bánh mì just the international bánh mì, the real one is in many normal place just like a hot dog in US. the worker put all topping like sausage, marinated vegetables and some sauces like hot sauce, mayonnaise or tomato sauce into bánh mì and use the bread presser to press it down and the bread become more crunchy and easy to eat. when u come back to Việt Nam, just try that one, it just around 15.000-30.000 dong
yeah, trust me, I tried plenty of them too haha. I ate so many Banh Mi, I was addicted hahaha
As a Vietnamese, i would like to tell you some other Vietnamese food you can try such as bánh canh, bún riêu, bún đỏ hay canh bún, súp lươn Vinh, bánh mì cá, bánh mì heo quay, cơm tấm sườn bì chả, bánh quấn, mì quảng, hủ tiếu Nam Vang…. Sorry I still forgot som.
Damn bro u had to make me hungry even though I just had dinner
I take no responsibility for that hahaha
Man, I need to go back to Vietnam
That makes two of us!
