When I decided to complete law school, my goal is to run for congress. I found myself completely mentally blocked upon the decision. At the time, I was teaching third grade; I struggled with third grade math which wasn't an issue before. Through research, fast and prayer, I learned as Haitian descendant, my destiny is to never become anything. My name is to never written in any books anywhere: much less, Washington! My goal had been to be part of government: pass and change laws. I had to engage the statistics and brought down the strongholds. I will soon run for a chair!

I left Haiti 🇭🇹 to move to the USA a the age of 10. Every year my father would take me to Haiti for Summer vacation. Haiti is such a beautiful country. It saddens me that my children will never have an opportunity to visit some of my childhood memories of this wonderful Island call Haiti 🇭🇹 . We are definitely an extraordinary group of people. I'm grateful to God for His blessings. Two kids in America and it's not easy. My oldest is in his 2nd year in college and working. The second is in her first year of college full time. Haïtien est un peuple actif. Si il réduit mentalement, je veux dire sombrer ds le découragement; c’est parce qu’il n’est pas encadré. Présentement ce qu’il est entrain de vivre en Haïti est vraiment catastrophique. Moi personnellement si je tiens encore c’est grâce à l’Évangile de JésusChrist . Et oui, ma foi est grande.

This is very informative Mr. Abner Gelin. I enjoy your show and watch you everyday. We appreciate your hard work and dedication to the Haitian community. I left Haiti 🇭🇹 to move to the USA a the age of 10. Every year my father would take me to Haiti for Summer vacation. Haiti is such a beautiful country. It saddens me that my children will never have an opportunity to visit some of my childhood memories of this wonderful Island call Haiti 🇭🇹 . We are definitely an extraordinary group of people. I'm grateful to God for His blessings. Two kids in America and it's not easy. My oldest is in his 2nd year in college and working. The second is in her first year of college full time. Pèp ayisyen pran kouraj!!! 🇭🇹 🇭🇹

Beautiful Abner ! You’re an example and see your children . We are warriors , we fought hard for ourselves and for our children . We show our children how to be responsible . In other words they always afraid of us. But unfortunately , our country does not give the new generation a chance to survive when they have less chance to travel and taken the route we took as Haitian baby boomers
