Plus, Henry seemed to be genuinely fond of Vito and Joe. I doubt he had the intention to betray those two. But we players will never know what the devs had planned about Henry's intentions.

The set up? You men the fake cops? Those fake cops were hired by the Chinese family. Wong told them when they held Wong at gunpoint in the game. They didn't destroy any factory, he said it would be a "risk", he wasn't being literal.
The real reason its: Henry wasn't a rat. Carlo organized that ambush and later after taking "his cut", those 60.000 dolars, carlo falcone was the one who put that contact of wong, and paid him to say to the chinese that henry was a rat. The real truth is that, carlo knows everything. Even that joe and vito was part of that deal, but carlo wanted joe to grow up in his crime family and didn't wanted vito and henry around, and that was because henry was the one who got the idea to sell drugs, and vito was the one who introduce henry in the family.
And then they lost all the money they saved up after doing all of this for 2 days in a single noon. Goes to show how even in the world of crime shit can happen at any time

They probably did that since most of the famous songs out of the 50s were from the mid to late 50s. If they went completely authentic with the 1951 setting, then the radio would pretty much only play Perry Como since he was one of the most popular singers of the time
The part at 1:07 is a bit random, especially considering that Vito wouldn't have been able to afford a suit in that time after his house burned down. Probably in Beta it was a scene for another time and they ended up putting this scene in that part in the final game

I think henry isnt a rat,and also theres a mod called mafia 2 extended edition You get freedom of choice (you can choose families), and at some plot twists perhaps henry wont die and joe will be a part of the plan(will not get separated) im sorry that im 2 years late Edit:oh yeah, it's not out yet btw.
It's tough keeping PC/PS3/Xbox versions as identical to each other while staying within the hardware limits of the console versions. If they added all of those features on the PC version, they'd have to do the same for the Xbox/PS3 versions... but it might not all fit.
For me, this was one of the disappointing things about the game. Why didn't they make these deals into real missions or at least side missions? It would make me feel more like a real mobster and it could add hours of additional gameplay.
@werty556 but you do get to sell cigarettes out of a truck just like in goodfellas! actually the whole coke thing is kind of like goodfellas too. also when you go to prison its kind of like goodfellas as well. there are a lot of goodfellas references in mafia 2.
