My mum did wraps in the 70’s in Spain. Once wrapped in one direction and dried, she used to then wrap it in the other direction and repeat the process. This would counteract any strands facing in the one direction and result in gorgeous luscious hair 😄
allofdestiny. ALL OF DESTINY I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL & YOUR HAIR IDEAS AND FAMILY. WHEN THEY INTERRUPT THE VIDEOS UR MOM IN THE BACKROUND TALKING HALARIOUS & YES THIS VIDEO SHE DID A GREAT JOB ON HER HAIR
Do you know in beauty shops today they dont even know this style. I be like the wrap like they used to do in the 90's where they put a product on wet hair then wrap it and place you under the dryer. These new girls have know fucking idea what im talking about
am literally just had this done and is sitting under the dryer now. The only thing that has me kinda iffy is that my hair is abit longer and thicker than the person in this vid and i have only saw this wrap on short hair. never seen it on long hair except today..@@peacefuldays4255
You can also add a smooth garnier or any smooth leave in ,AND it might work,my hair is very curly, not relaxed AND it smoothes ,I use a roller set net over the wrap to go under the dryer ,and when I come out of the dryer I wrap my hair to the other side ,add a little serum if need shine to even up hair and put on a silk scarf to go to bed. Hope it works for you, good luck
YES!!! I definitely want to try this out on my hair. "I love it!!!" Forget about weaves & wigs if my hair can look & feel silky soft like this woman's hair in the video.
Stephanie Ward hmm well relaxers don’t do much to my hair it actually makes it thicker once it go back natural .but it could be because moisture in the air
Yagurl Renii Same with me my edges thick, hair is thick, I guess it depends on the person. And yea the cancer causing stuff is deodorant, soaps, foods, genetics... they should save it and leave people alone.
Thank you! My hair is shorter now but this is how my mom wrapped my hair and i didn't have to curl it at all! I will definitely uses this technique on my short hair to keep from curling it. Thanks for showing the technique from start to finish!
This is the first time I have seen your channel and I will subscribe. I thank you and other black women for the hair care tutorials. This helps (I think) that our beautiful black sisters will realize they don't need to spend exorbitant amounts on weaves. God bless you and good luck with your channel.
Thank you for subscribing, that's the reason I started a hair care journey because I wanted to have weave length without wearing it because I love wearing my own hair, it's my preference. I'm looking forward to even more growth

Watched your video 2 years ago when I got my hair straightened at the salon (just a hot press) for the first time. And then was trying to maintain the look for a lil bit longer after having to wash it. I'm Indian, curly girl hair, so this worked for me and was really helpful. Thanks. Watched again for same reason. 😂
Gorgeous ! I’m about to relax my hair after taking down locs and I need a low/ no heat way to maintain the bob haircut im going to get. I will try this technique, thanks!
We use this technique in dominican republic but with dry hair before going to sleep everynight that way we don't need to straight our hair everyday we alsl do it for a whole day if we are going to stay at home in few words the only times we don't do this is when we need to go out but most people don't worry about it and go out like this to the mall, grocery stores, parks.... Is normal seeing girls like this everywhere
Yeah I’m Dominican too! I stay in my”doobie” all day except when we go out lol! My hair is naturally very curly but it stays pin straight for as long as I need! Thankfully it doesn’t take as long as hers did, just a few minutes
Perfect! So silky and smooth. Unfortunately I am not ready because I am about to relax. When I do they better watch out , because of you I got this now ;) Thank you for taking the time to teach Sis.
Diamond Porter it depends on your hair texture. Mine is relaxed & no matter what, always retains some curl 'when wet'. Even big chopped multiple times & my ends stay curly/wave with a relaxer. Now I just go with it! 😊
A former stylist of mine did this routine every week. Came out flawless everytime. Rarely did she have to use a flat iron. It became so healthy & long. Then she moved away. 😢
Your results came out amazing! I remember trying this one time a few years ago and it was an utter fail lol because my hair is more textured when it is wet rather than straight. Never again haha
Olá, Gostei muito! Mais o TH-cam poderia ter um tradutor. Como algumas pessoas vão entender o que vcs falam ou vcs entenderem o que falamos não é mesmo?!
I did not know you could do this with relaxed hair ? 😧 i had relaxed hair in high schoold and used to treat it then comb and flat iron it straight. Good share 👌
+Tasha Mitchell My mom used it when she did wet roller sets on my hair when I was in middle school and my hair always came out nice. That was over 10 years ago so I Don't know how it works today lol
Thank you for tutorial and I'm going to try this tonight. I always have a hard time getting my hair smooth out. This way when it's dry I won't have to use too much heat with the flat iron.
Yes, no shame in it! No one can tell me differently! It is not about being ashamed of being Black and wish they were White. It is about not everyone has time or energy, or desire to mess with hair all day. Myself, I am part White, so I do not even have to try to be White. For me, just tired a lot from meds, and have never bounced by from my dominate shoulder injury from almost 11 years ago.
Glad I found this, might have to try. My stylist told me to use rollers & I HATE rollers. But if I could master wrapping it would make me life way easier & give me bomb results? Next wash day for sure.
hope it turns out great next time after watching this. It's all about the smoothing determines if it comes out good, it must be smoothed properly with all the hair strands going in the circular direction
"AMAZING"! So smooth. Also, do you take any hair vitamins? I did not see even 1 hair in that tiny tooth comb! This method has to be better than flat ironing!
Do you put something on before going to sleep? Or before going under the dryer? Something to keep it tightly in place? If so, what material? Nylon, silk? Thank you!
im a guy and i relaxed my hair. it's been 2 weeks and it's still straight/semi curly. how did i keep it that way? well i didnt wrap my hair around , instead i comb it all to the back but first of course i put some good quality, healthy hair products on my hair, comb it through THEN comb it to the back. i put a plastic cap on then put on my durag. every. morning and night i put on the products and comb it through, doing the same process. i'm not disappointed, i love the results :)
