Cheers for the update mate, it was in the last video I was asking about the jcb, I’m a happy consumer! I’d love to have the knowledge to be able to repair something like that, thank god for the agri mechanics
Thanks for the update George. Hope all the likes and comments get you some small (probably very small...) reward from TH-cam to help foot the bill for the repairs. 🤞
Hello George it’s better news than first thought it is so good to see the lady again can’t wait to see her back and hear that growl of that Cummins engine purring away 👍👍
Bloody awesome mate, and I love the fact you’re keen to get other stuff fixed while she’s had her cab taken off. Top operator indeed. Cheers from Australia
P.S. @george. You ever thought about getting a enhancer module on her? Over here in Australia we use Diesel Smart Module’s to give the diesel’s a bit of kick and allow her to breath way better. I’ve been using these guys for the last two diesels I’ve own for some time now and they are worth every penny spent plus some. Heaps More low down grunt and slightly better fuel consumption indeed. Cheers Jase
Hi George, Fastrac update is great you can see how complex it is . Also in its current state you can get the other components in such as the block . The Fastrac will be better than new when finished. Great video George 🚜👍🔧
Massive experience for you mate but looking at it it could have been a whole lot worse. She will have to earn her keep when she comes back to the farm for sure George. Great vid buddy
Good to see the damage is limited George. Hopefully all your work now planned while it's apart will leave it ready for some serious trouble free hours and work.
George. I used to run a Perkins powered 150 hp Fastrac hauling aggregates and sand dumpy bags, I had a similar issue as you, I was hauling one day maxed out with the trailer at about 24 tons, and heard this almighty shrieking sound and tightness in the box, I continued along as there was no other option, but never did find out the reason but sold it on, the boxes seem to be made of chocolate on these tbh, and not up to the job . Good work there fella, I bottled out !!!!
I did a six gear synchro on a fastrac 155 as a back yard mechanic it was a massive job I removed the cab floor opened the sun roof and lowered the gearbox to the floor with a block and tackle a wouldn't want to do one again but I got a massive sense of achievement when it was done 😁
George, Don't let Lord Muck drive it again, problem solved. Lol. It's Some bit of kit. Can't wait to see Her drive again. Hope it all works out for you. Big Thumbs Up.
John the mechanic (or JCB John as he is known at ours) is brilliant, he comes out to our jcb load all and does a load of other mechanic stuff with the kit, very trustworthy person to fix your tractor. He rebuilt the head and gasket on our 6930p a few months ago.
Very good to see! I found it cheaper to get a whole new head for the dodge truck engines and then a new tractor exhaust manifold for my 3185. Heads are identical aside from casting upgrades. The new manifold has a boss for an EGT sensor as well.
Nice to see the progress on her nice result on the replacement box definitely. Also imo i would get the three splitter packs stripped and checked out and re do them if even slight wear. the discs are not expensive at all after that make sure they take a good look at the tandem pump as the wear on the fastrac clutch pack happens at low revs when the transmission side of the pump is worn and at high temperatures they can be a drop in system pressure causing slight slippage any doubt mate drop a new pump in then you have also the option to go higher flow rating on the hydraulic side 👍

That was indeed a fantastic insight to what went wrong George! I think you have been fortunate in some respects as it could have been so much worse! Certainly the right time to get other things sorted while it’s stripped down. 🚜🚜🚜🚜 At least she will run again!
Stuff like that can happen to any machine. It's an expensive repair but at least you can relax (hopefully) in the knowledge you have a factory recon gearbox in the ole girl. No Creme Eggs for while then lad!
I would have thought that the bearing failed first, putting strain on the rear end of the shaft causing it to shear. Good that you can get a recon unit, saving some labour cost.
Least you made a proper job of it George!😬🤦♂. Glad it’s not too bad and impressive you’ve got a recon box that’s cheaper than a rebuild 👍. I know it used to be said it was 6k for a mog box to be taken out and looked at before work on it 😬. And glad my cab tips sideways to get under it! Look forward to seeing her in a field again!
Who'd want to be a gearbox technician. Sensible to change wearable parts while your in there George let's hope the cost is kept to a minimum and you don't have to sell any of your body parts to science..😮
Cheap repair really ,in comparison with other brands of tractor . A vario box would be in a different street as far as cost of replacement .Awseome machine will live another day . You must be missing its comfort ,having to drive them New Hollands instead !! Lol

Thanks for the update on the JCB it's getting there George ❤️👍. Take care of yourself and family and be Blessed ❤️❤️.
Nice one George. Great to be able to see the inside of a work in progress like that.
Great update George - good to see that progress is being made!
Great video! I'm really looking forward to it running again!

Nice little update! Gonna be fun to see her working again!
Nice catch-up on Fast Track looking forward to seeing back in action .Looks abit expensive George,🚜👍
Massive experience for you mate but looking at it it could have been a whole lot worse. She will have to earn her keep when she comes back to the farm for sure George. Great vid buddy
Few toys there, good to see ole faithful again though. 👍👍🇬🇧

You changed gearbox through sunroof? 😂
@@artur8403 can't you read lowered the gearbox to the floor 🥴
@@nickhill3362 ok. I thought floor of tractor

I've never driven the fucking thing 🙄
Awesome update, hope she's back and working soon!
Pity it didn't friction weld itself back together.

Hallo george Nice update from fastrac by repairing the gearbox i hope we see the fastrac in next Time back
Great to see her, progress indeed, well worth doing everything, cant wait to hear her working again 👍👍👍👍😘

Putting the savings on one part to good use then! She'll be back for harvest, if not before. Proper job!
As usual, George don't do things by half, sure done a proper number on that gearbox.

Great stuff George ( or maybe not ) She will be like new again, Thank You for the update👌🙏👍🙂
Cheers Pat👍
Thanks for the update George, it's bad but could be worse
Great stuff as always George.
Be good to see this and the tw back on the channel both working 🚜
Keeping a positive thought regarding the Fastrac 🇬🇧🚜🛐
That is one complicated set up on that transmission would say definitely not something you want going wrong again in a hurry 🙄 good video 👍
This is why Belarus MTZ tractors are the most reliable, easy to fix, and indestructible 🚜

Nice One George Thanks again
Interesting stuff. There's clearly a design weakness in those boxes - I wonder if the maker has smoothed the flaw out for newer machines?
Unfortunately that won’t be the last problem with the fastrac, they’re always giving trouble but that’s tractors for ya

Better spending the money on tw25 all restored it would look amazing fab tractor
The tw doesn't need a restoration, she is fine in her working clothes
Nice video, like the frame design
re bonjour George il sera au top , bon courage a toi pour la suite 😍👍👍👍👍
Great video George!
Bit of a saving grace for you and the old girl George.
On our 2170 we got the gearbox out the back window jut the floor came out thankfully we didn’t have to take cab off
Not exactly cheap, but not an eye watering amount of money either, I'd call that a win.
have back soon great video
good news on jcb having a recon box
Tidy job..... Dare I say it - could've been worse. She'll be back soon enough 👍
Great content again
Thats like lookin into a money pit and the holes getting deeper, cut your losses and run mate! Lease a new one the next time its cheaper
How long before your have her back how long does it take them to fix everything?
How many organs do you need to sell to fund the job George??🤔🤫
Interesting video George 👍🏻 have you broke your finger or something?
I would like a a fastrack, not sure if I could have one with out making TH-cam videos.
Let me tell you making TH-cam videos doesn't pay for a Fastrac!😂
Well at least your honest George,,,,, get her back up and running then we can get back to Fastrack v The mighty Ford come on!!!!!!!!!
😂brawo👍👍👍

Did you see " DISASTER " ...Mr Hewes
Any news of the Belarus?
Do you have any regrets in buying her?
ALL of them... 🫳
Money money spend it'well 🎉
👍👍👍
That’s some technical nightmare, glad it’s not to big a wallet buster…..👍👌🇮🇲
Amazes me a rebuild is 6k but an already rebuilt recon is 1k lol
That looks as it may have possibly been driver abuse lol 😃🤘
