    I've already had the fitbit sense before watching this (it randomly popped up on my TH-cam), but honestly BEST REVIEW EVER! You hit so many points, but didn't spend ages talking about them, just a quick run through. You taught me new things about my sense. You also talked about good and "bad" aspects of the watch! I find so many reviews aren't honest. They're either "this is amazing!" or "never get this!". I really appreciated your honesty and neutral attitude, if that makes sense? Great review! And it's a great watch for anyone who's considering purchasing it!

    I am trying out the Sense these days, my personal dealbreaker is that more detailed stats are only available with Premium, which costs 9€ a month. The device is expensive enough to not want to pay another 9€ per month just to get a proper read-out from the sensors. It really feels like a rip off

    • @ricdonato4328
      @ricdonato4328 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Agree, I too will not purchase this watch then have to pay $10 a month for readouts. Also, its inability for making calls is a deal breaker.

      Many thanks for sharing this! This is a deal breaker for me. I don't mind paying the premium price of the watch but the £9 a month for the full stats is a sneaky move. Looks like I'll stick to my Android Wear OS watch.

    THANKS for this. Here are my FitBit Sense question: 1. How do I change the band and where can I find alternate bands? The band it comes with gives me a weird heat rash, and like you, I think I am between sizes. 2. I sometimes find that my FitBit Sense's face is unresponsive. Like during a workout I'm trying to switch between seeing how many calories I'm burning to how long I've been working out and somehow it's trying to pause my workout (so annoying!). 3. How do I sync my FitBit Sense with my Withings smart scale? I want to be sure that when my FitBit is telling me I'm "in the zone" working out, it really knows my correct/current weight, etc so it can accurately judge if I'm at my limit. 4. I thought the Sense was about judging and telling you you're stressed out? Isn't that the main differentiator? To get a notification to 'calm down' or letting you know that your body is physically sending off stress signals? How do I do get those notifications?

    Just purchased. Very helpful video to get started. Really liked my Ionic, but battery only lasted for 1 year, they sent me a new one and THAT battery only lasted 1 year... out of warranty after that. Hopefully the Sense will be a different story. A $300 watch every 2 years?? Ugh. Thanks for your guidance.

    Another I was unaware of until i purchased is you can only save 5 watch faces. Not a huge deal but still limitations on a $300+ wearable. The forced and purposeful limitations on this makes me question the purchase. I had a Galaxy Watch 3 but the battery drain with just the most basic usage was just at or less than 24 hours... less if I checked the time throughout the day. Chose to return for the Sense just on battery alone but.... Thanks for the video!!

    • @RacingPepe
      @RacingPepe 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey I'm completely new to smartwatches so I found 5 different watch faces to be more than enough. What do you use different watch faces for? Is it more than just cosmetics?

    • @randomwicked9806
      @randomwicked9806 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RacingPepe It is purely cosmetic for me, yes. I honestly stay on 1 day to day but if I want an always on display I choose a different due to look and color. Others look really nice but difficult to read (for these eyes). My biggest complaint is they still in 2022 look like they were designed in early web design very basic graphics, look or interface.
      Find 1 or 2 you like and enjoy!!

      All you should have to do is start a GPS-compatible workout (like walk, run, hike, bike) and you should see a note that GPS is connecting. You can tap to start before it connects or wait for it to connect. Once connected you can see your real-time pace and distance via GPS and after you end your workout and sync it to your phone, you should be able to view a map of your route.

    The battery of my Sense drops 1% every hour. Is that normal?
    My watch doesn't last the 6 days Fitbit promised. :(

    • @wearablewhisperer
      @wearablewhisperer  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      6 days is a “general use” and will be less if you use certain features more than was used to come up with that general battery life (and Fitbit says this in the “fine print”). Always-on display, GPS, and SpO2 are battery-heavy features. 1% is likely normal for your use. If you really want to optimize battery life, uninstall the SpO2 app, and turn off the screen wake when you flip your wrist. Otherwise, you’ll have to find a balance of features and battery life that you’re okay with.

    I have had my Sense for almost 2 wks now. I can not change my weather from Celsius to Fahrenheit on my phone app. I've tried shutting it off, deleting app and re installing it, nothing has worked. Very frustrating. SO FAR, NOT a fan. I loved my Versa better.

    • @EmunStudio
      @EmunStudio 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      On the app, click your profile, go to sense, go to gallery, scroll down to weather, settings, change temperature unit to Fahrenheit.
      I had the same issue, just fixing it today.

    • @wearablewhisperer
      @wearablewhisperer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For me, I don’t need anything in Premium to be happy. The major differences are: with premium you get 30 days of health metrics (compared to 7 without premium), you get access to dozens of mindfulness sessions (essentially guided meditations), video workouts, guided programs (like get better sleep and eat less sugar), and access to a few extra challenges like Fitbit bingo. You can also get a wellness report to send to or show your doctor that uses your Fitbit data like steps, activity, exercise, heart rate, sleep, etc.

Worked perfect night 1, but only basic details for nights 2 & 3 - and the details were incorrect! No sleep score. My 'ShutEye' sleep APP was more accurate as an app than a watch that is supposed to be tracking my sleep - $500 bucks down the drain! Should have got an iWatch.

    Deal breaker is Fitbit not known for reliability, my Ionic lasted only 2 years. Sense now drop a $100, so I'm debating on it but don't like the subscription. See all under $50 cheap watches have many of those functions and if it lasted a year, no big deal. So anyone has an opinion?

    • @MichaeljRichter
      @MichaeljRichter 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a Sense that has had nothing but problems. Band failed causing watch to drop and shatter the screen, chargers are complete garbage and typically last a month or two. HR accuracy is unacceptable. Customer service is hopeless and all they offer is a 25% discount on a new device. I replaced it with a Garmin Venu 2. Not looking back.

    I have had 3 senses over the last year and 1/2! They don't last very long and now after the 3rd one that doesn't work, they won't replace the device but want me to buy a new one for 30% off. I would not buy another one since they are so unreliable. The old ionic worked fine and never required replacement, but this new model is not worth it and has some type of inherent defect.
