@@rammjose93 gem is water and rock. umi control is entirely water and not rocks. this means gem is a perfect bridge to swap any monster in the deck for any other monster in the deck except kraken who shares his def stat. but not many play kraken anyway
@@imMIB123 Gem also gives u the ability to normal summon twice which means u can jebait a negate like imperm with jelly then still follow up with ocean lord as second normal summon, also if u play maxx C, u can use it as an extender by normal summon it then revive gem from graveyard then go into links or for the extra damage lol.... it came up since ocean lord+jelly+whale on the field does not quite accomplish the 8k damage profile.
@@wokeaf1337 he is a useful little water rock thing. i tried him in melffy spright since melffys are earth, swap frog is water and gem is level 2 but i dont think any spright deck needs the help tbh lol
I enjoy the way you commentate gameplay. Conveying your thought process during that time and possible plays the opponent could have made. Also against that swordsoul would it have made a difference if the opponent kept protoss instead of baronne? Since calling water I think would be bad.

Not sure if youre gonna see this, but love your vids and i wanted to tell you about a strange synergy (i think?) using umi control and "Xing Zhen Hu", its been a clutch vs Labrynth decks, iut feels really nice to use when the opponent cant destroy your backrow due to sea stealth :) if you try it let me know how it went !
I was thinking about your Umi control deck variant that has Absolute Zero in it. Future Fusion would actually be playable with the protection from sea stealth. I'm just not sure how to make it work...
Been playing UmiCon for a little bit now and it's my favorite viable fun deck. Pros- it does all of Mako Tsunami's bullshit in Duelist Kingdom Boss Monster is the Kraken from Earthbound Stymies half the meta when it works It's good on t1 and t2 Cons- A bit bricky Gets absolutely buttfucked by Sharks or Marincess Only the Turtle gets a summon animation

Sounds very janky I love it. Sadly future fusion was erratad into being terrible
@@simpking2500 right but with the protection that you get from sea stealth attack it mitigates the changes from the errata.

No you don't need it. It only helps in matchups where the deck is already favoured.
