@@Old_Tom Amatsu LS is stronger in most situations. Almudron LS can be used when the monster has a very high elemental hitzone that you can hit consistently with your counters like Flaming Espinas (30 Elemental Hitzone) and I did use this LS on my Flaming Espinas speedrun.
This game has a ton of variety with set building so there's not a single build that outclasses every other, specially with Long Sword which can use Element, Status and Raw effectively depending on the monster you are fighting.
