@@underground500 Iai Spirit Slash by itself hits 4 times when you counter an attack successfully but when you use it after casting the Harvest Moon (0:26) it gets 4 additional hits making it hit 8 times in total. Harvest Moon gives additional hits to every counter that Long Sword has as long as you stay inside the circle but the amount of hits and damage varies depending on the counter and Spirit Gauge Level. That 731 damage at 0:56 was caused by the Powder Mantle's explosion right after hitting Malzeno with the Dividing Slash, its an armor skill found in Risen Teostra's armor. Powder Mantle activates after hitting the monster for a set number of times and creates an orange powder around your character. If you don't get hit for 20 seconds or get out of combat with the monster, the powder will turn blue and will cause an explosion next time you hit the monster.

It depends on the matchup and the build you can craft but generally speaking, element becomes viable for Long Sword when you are fighting monsters with an elemental hitzone of 25 or higher that you can hit consistently.
Its due to Frenzied Bloodlust's effect, It gives you an extra wirebug when you overcome the Frenzy Virus. You can find this skill on Risen Shagaru's armor.
even if its not "TRUE" theres no mod/cheat/whatever that changes the range of an monster HITBOX and even if u do it glitches some basic mechcanics of the monster, one beeing the monster no beein able to land any of his attacks on the character, if u played monster hunter long enough you would know that.

@@garyisfatThe counter was well within the 17 s of Iai Spirit Slash and you could just watch it 0,25x speed to see it but it seems like you are the kind of person who goes around calling people cheaters without even knowing what you are talking about.

nice run! may I ask you one question, why my bonus frenzied bloodlust doesnt work ? idk why i have it level 1 but never seen it in entire game
Check if you have Bloodlust at least at Lv1 in your build. Frenzied Bloodlust needs the regular Bloodlust skill to activate.

@@just_connor You can even try to get this skill with augments or talismans if your level is high enough, it‘s quite rare tho

The hitbox on that attack is much wider than it looks. It pretty much covers Malzeno's entire body.
