I tried this vocal warm-up while doing my light make-up this morning. First and foremost thank GOD that I found your chanel, and to my surprise I managed to hit all the high notes effortless as a backup singer at church.
As a vocalist that does both clean and harsh vocals, this has been the way I have been doing my warm-ups for the past month or so and it is great for getting everything moving. I do my own other things to warm up my falsecords for falsecord screaming/growling, but they match right along with this. Has been a great addition to my practice. Thanks! :D
@@userxyz7461 The point of a vocal warmup is to get your muscles in your throat ready to go for singing or vocalizing (talking, harsh vocals, ect...) It is like stretching before playing sports. If you don't limber up your leg muscles and then run a 5 kilometer race, then you might be damaging them. The same is true for vocals. So, you get the bloodflow and basically "wake up" the muscles. This way when you start singing you don't accidently hurt yourself. It is also used to wake up and get your abdominal muscles moving because you need to use your core muscles for proper support while singing. Hoped that answered your question. :)
@@adamdriskelldriskellmusic well as I have seen ur channel :) so , can u tell me if someone wants to be a singer and that person doesn't have any training in his life so how many yrs it will take to be a perfect singer (my frnd's prblm)
These morning warm ups are a game changer! Now I can sing in the am if I do these and then your 10 minute warm up. The combination is fantastic. The puffy cheek exercise is KEY!
This is the best vocal warm up I've done it really resonates with me as a dancer we breathe a little differently sometimes and this is a great bridge and crossover it worked from the❤
Love this, been doing it every morning for a week now and it really feels like I'm giving love to my voice (not just the singing voice, but how I express in the world). Thank you!
First of all THANK YOU GOD to connect me with this Channel and now thank you for your teaching method, I am a new member of ur channel also this class helps me a lot to improve my voice. So once again many many thanks to you.❤❤❤
Ah this helps so much!!!! I usually sing in the afternoon/evening so I warm up later in the day but I have an audition early this morning and I really needed my voice to wake up, thank youuuu!
I love these vocal warm-ups so much!!! I've been watching Lisa's videos to have a better vocal routine and it has helped me a lot. Thank you so much for providing such great videos 😍
Lisa! I am working on some music recently, and I love watching your warm ups before I start working on ANYTHING! I DEFINITELY feel the strain if I don't. Much love! 😁
I really love this I am so happy I tried this for just three days and I saw my voice has really changed it is high and on the key Am happy thanks so much
I love these warm ups! Been using every morning before I talk with clients. I do your other warm-ups a couple hours before shows. It’s been very helpful . The puffy cheeks are my fave. Most vocal coaches talk too much and focus less on the warm up and too much on the technique. It’s like move on already. I also feel like these warm ups are great for all genre singers. I’m a pop singer and some warm ups are designed for a more classical singer and very dangerous on the vocals. So thank you for contributing to the singing community!
Thank you so much indeed for your free tutorials which I find so helpful… I also love your vibrancy & energy which are so refreshing! God bless you indeed!
this is my interpretation as a student: the way that the word “hung” sits in your voice is in a very relaxed spot and she starts everyone in a very moderate/comfortable singing range which is perfect as a first warm up the “bubble” or lip trill encourages our sound to resonate more forward and towards our nose (which is why our nose gets itchy when we trill for long enough). i like this warmup and have been using it regularly because the act of lip trilling naturally creates a light amount of resistance that our breath flow has to work against, which is actually a good thing because that helps with how far/loud our sound can travel… which leads me to the third warm up, the puffy cheeks. I’ve never heard of using puffed cheeks while singing but i imagine it has the same purpose of singing on a “z” or “v” consonant- it makes your abdomen fight just a little harder to get your air to travel and produce sound. the puffed cheeks make you work harder than the bubble/lip trill. while it seems counterproductive to cause yourself to have to fight to produce sound as a singer, it helps with both our stamina and our resonance. the “go” warm up (once again this is all my own interpretation) seems to be focused on our jaw movement - it acts as a constant reminder to keep our jaw still and relaxed while singing “go” so many times through, and having a relaxed jaw helps with muscle tension that can cause pitch deficiencies or unwanted tension. if there are any professionals reading this or any other music students that have noticed any discrepancies in my evaluation please let me know 🙏🙏 but i do feel confident in my answer! i hope this is helpful and not too jumbled.
Although the lessons are unusual, they are great I wisely sing an octave lower and I can now sing the bottom F lie of the bass clef and the top F line of the treble clef. Not bad for just starting and being a Baritone. In time with these fantastic great lessons the F line on both clefs will become normal. Thank you so very much.
Hi there Lisa, I am having a pretty tough time keeping my jaws inflated, they keep sagging. Is there something I can do, that you’d prefer I do. I am not in any of your Awesome class, not working at this present time. Thank you for all you do. You really keep it exciting. Thanks again Pretty Lady and your Teaching is impeccable.
Will I ever get to a point where I don't need to help the weight of my lower lip in order to do the bubble?? Even when using my fingers to help, it takes a while before I find the right position so that I can actually make the vibration needed.... It can be frustrating for sure!
For warming up you'll need 10 -15 min and about 30min to pratice, but if you feel fatige or pain, stop, rest and try again the next day. If you can find a good vocal coach to guide you
Will these just warm your voice up for the day for a certain amount of time or will it train your voice if you do it everyday to be a better singer in the long run or should i be doing it for longer and more advanced stuff too? Some1 help please
Is your voice naturally so soft or do you use your head voice? My speaking voice is really strong and it feels impossible to sound soft unless I use chest or mixed voice…
So funny, I’ve been doing lip trills for such a long time and all morning I’ve been hopping from warmup to warmup trying to figure out why I can’t do them all of the sudden…. I swapped out my lip piercing is why!!! You can’t trill around a lip ring 🤣🤣🤣 The more you know!
I couldn't do the bubbles a year ago. I worked at it and now I can do them easily. You have to work on it, and it took me months to feel comfortable with doing them.

Me, too, for the first time. And with really good singers. I will do these exercises daily.

In my uneducated opinion it would be much easier to stay with this if We knew specifically what each exercise accomplishes.
