Hi - you didn't change the mirror bumpers; as you mentioned they had already been changed. Yarn probably isn't going to work for those; do you think that adhesive-backed felt, cut to the correct size, would work?

I think it would suffice for the shock absorption however this is a question that has come up on another video about F3 HP seal replacements. I would attempt to source the thickest felt possible for use in the mirror bumps. I think if I replace any more seals I'll keep using the current felt I have for all but the mirror box and use a thicker felt for that...if I can find it relatively easily.

@@AdamWelch Thanks! I think Amazon sells adhesive-backed felt tape of various thicknesses. Also, there are commercially available furniture pads, intended to stick to the bottom of chairs/couches/tables and prevent floor scratches, which are made of adhesive-backed felt and are thicker. I used these, and cut them to the right size/shape with a razor blade and a straightedge; they seemed to fit correctly!

@@HBNplague Very interesting idea about the furniture pads! I'll have to give it try. If you don't mind let me know if you run into any problems with adhesion or anything else because I'd like to know how those last compared to felt. I assume it would be about the same lifespan.

How thick should the felt be?

It's difficult to say. Most self-adhering felt I've seen seems to be around the same thickness. For the mirror bumps the thicker the better. Then again, if the felt is too thick it might interfere with the operation of the film door.
