It is amazing how much a big brake kit will change the appearance of the car, looks awesome!!
Chase Schrader thats the only reason for a bbk. They dont have more stopping power than a "normal" performance brake set up... also the amount of pistons doesnt really matter, although if one fail, u still have more to back up.

Look A G yeah, generally, having more pistons really only helps with spreading out the load, which does slightly increase the "grabbing power" you feel. The only way to actually increase stopping distances and such is the increase both the piston surface area and the displacement of the master-cylinder.
Say you have 2 piston sliding calipers, like most average cars, with each piston having a surface area of say 1inch^2, giving you a total of 2inch^2 per caliper. When you switch to a BBK like the 6 piston wilwoods, they're going to have smaller pistons, say .5inch^2. So while you are getting more piston displacement, and slightly better braking, you have to also upgrade to a larger master cylinder to get the most performance.
That said, unless its a dedicated track car BBKs are about 90% form and 10% function.

Hey Calvin, a tip for next time - keep driving around until the brakes have cooled. Apparently the brakes can seize to the rotors if you stop driving after bedding. Cheers!

I’m going to be doing a rear drum to disc conversion on my car, and then a BBK. Acura RL 4 piston calipers in the front with SS lines and Nissan 350z rotors. For the rear I’m going to get a bracket to push the caliper our further and then run some Honda Pilot rotors, as they are larger
Glad to see the new brakes on all around! Now you need some seats and other interior work, to bring that area up to par with the rest.

Your BMW has xenon headlights, LED bulbs won‘t fit. Just get some better xenon bulbs like Osram Cool Blue Intense D1S. Running them in my BMW
I have a BMW and I'm running putco silver lux LED's in my car. They have the mesh wire heat sink and they barely fit in my housing. But they do fit

The number of piston doesnt matter bro you can have a 2 piston caliper that brake much better than à 6 piston its all about the contact surface !

Just for the info, you're never supposed to come to a complete stop during the bedding process. It will leave a spot of scorched pad material on the rotor and cause a premature effect of warping. 50-10 mph 5 times then drive gently for a mile without stopping to cool the rotors

Tj ! Since you have "racecars" brakes kit in 4 corner, you really should go for a track day with miley ! specialy those chassis are great for handling stock, and you have R888's, plus bags.., wider track which mean more grip in corner, "aerodynamic" and all that kit !

When bedding you are suppose to do until the brakes start to fade and smoke while applying the brakes but not coming to a full stop and then drive normally avoiding braking till your brakes cool down if done properly you will see brake pad all over your rotors and they won't look shiney new if your rotors still look new you didn't bed them, you just hit the brakes really hard a few times.

Tire compound has more to do with stopping distance. The bigger breaks help more with endurance.

Have you guys ever looked into getting tools from like Snap on or Mac tools? I know harbour freight is nice and close but at least with Mac and snap on if your tools break they usually have a life time warranty
