I am not Jewish, but I'm working at a Jewish daycare for the year. I came here, hoping to better connect with the children, and I'm excited to now be able to appreciate the school's sukkah with them! Thank you so much for the wonderful explanation! ❤
That is a miracle that they made it 75 miles in one day. Even if they were traveling on horseback, that's a long way to go. Just think about how hard it is to travel that far in a vehicle these days in a large metro area. Then imagine 3 million people making that same trip, all going to the same place. Epic!
Finally, I know what this 'sitting in huts' stuff is all about. I';m not a Jew but I find Judaism fascinating and it was through Rabbi Moshe Bryski I found this channel.
I like the idea of uniting all Jews as a part of this Yom Tov. I don't like referring to Sukkot as the festival of "tabernacles," because the succah is not a tabernacle. It is a hut designed for temporary living. I know that is how Christians, who don't understand the holiday in the first place, call it.

Really enjoyable. This rabbi is a great speaker and ‘kept the ball rolling’ on information. Learned a lot here. Thank you! Shana Tovah!
