Static is absolutely disgusting in small map moshpits to the point that it's a wonder that anybody runs anything else... except for the fact that so many of us casuals are using SMMPs to try to fast-level other weapons. But no seriously... I can play a sniper playstyle in Rust/Shipment/Haus with Static and still score halfway decently. Like, what?!
As someone who's shot bows and arrows IRL for like 20 years, I have to say GFJ to the devs on this unlock. It's not even unrealistic. Unless you have plates like in Warzone and Zombies, an arrow with a bladed head absolutely should ruin your day just like this. IRL compound bows and crossbows are basically knives with range. Edit: As soon as my awfully slow internet service is done downloading the weekly update, I can't wait to try this. IRL. Compound bows are... interesting. It's hard work pulling the string most of the way, but once you get it fully pulled, it's supposed to be easy to hold and run, since the cams and pulleys are doing most of the work holding the tension. Can't wait to see how realistically that plays out, given that this is a game that loves certain details so much that the operators' wristwatches display actual local time....
But i mean, with military grade helmets and body armor the arrow probably can't penetrate deep enough to be fatal tho. Call of duty made the bow a bit too powerful i think. IRL compound bows probably cant penetrate military body armor and helmets. Crossbows on the other hand has higher tension (power) so it could be lethal.
@@monax1a-yt a regular bow can go through plate armor and ringmail, a compound bow has an even easier time because it has several times the draw strength of a regular bow, a compound bow is essentially the midpoint between a bow and a crossbow I do know that if we talk regular kevlar, the arrow will go through it. Ofc if we want to go wild with it, a 300lb crossbow will go through basically anything in the personal body armor category.
Yeah realistically you would need a good short bow to do this, but i can understand stylistically why they would go with a compound. Cool asl tho cant wait to use this thing

That bow looks identical to my Hoyt. They got the design spot on. Fun Fact: If you shoot a bow in real life, never point your finger while shooting the bow it'll get messy😂
I do have a spear unlocked so here's a rundown of it's qualities: Pros - Can be thrown and when hitting a ground it can be retrieved just like a throwing knive / Has the biggest range out of every melee weapons allowing you to lunge at enemies from a bigger range / On every Respawn you start with Max Spare Ammo which is 3 Spears. Cons - If you throw a Spear into a place where you can't retrieve them you won't be able to get them back / Spear is unaffected by a Scavenger perk / It's more heavy than other weapons therefore you will move slower when holding it / Has a delay between each throw and slightly longer delay between attacks when compared to other weapons / When you run out of spears then by default you switch to your Primary weapon and instead of the Spear you will end up with fists.

The Static HV is better than the Superi honestly. Superi only really feels better at long range, but with the difference in magazine size and the amount of hitmarkers/missed shots a SMG will have at that distance, I'd still probably rather have the Static tbh. The Static reminds me so much of the BO2 pre-patch PDW-57 when it was insanely overpowered. But the Static honestly might be even better. One of the best SMGs in COD history easily. If you play respawn game modes instead of S&D, the difference in magazine size becomes even more crucial.
