Thank you so much, Deborah. I was an Access expert 25 years ago but this refreshed everything and also amazed me how far it has come during those years :-)
Amazing that this course was for free. Deb is an amazing teacher! I needed a refresh for Access. I expected some queries handling and sql views, making forms with bounded data. Did not expect the sql install bit ... Nice! Heading back to Udemy for more ... Thank you Deb & Simon

The course is split in two parts - beginner and advanced. All good for the first part, but there is a gap of knowledge between that and the second. Second part makes reference to a movie db from the "beginner course", except that db was not shown before - it seems they appended a pre-existing advanced course that was coupled with an older beginner version. Also, the tutorial does not go over important features like queries and reports.
Specifically want a comprehensive tutorial as how to build a SUM module which would give a total of multiple fields at one time and that too at form level by writing a code and not query as end users does not understand any query but want the result on a specific field as available on the field on a form.
I have worked with Access many years back and wanted a refresher. For a free course, this is not too bad, but it is definitely not teaching correct database design. Mainly the lessons on link tables is incorrect and very confusing for beginners, in my opinion. The only reason to use a link table would be for many-to-many relationships. If it is a many-to-one relationship, like the status, it should be setup as a simple lookup field in the main table. The explanation that using link tables makes your database more efficient is not making any sense. Your link table would still contain as many records as your main table. Also, why maintain data in 2 tables when this can be done in 1 table?

I really appreciate your detailed feedback! Your perspective on link tables is valuable. Thanks for watching 😃
Can you share if you have a better alternative?
