If you weren't my already favorite Channel. ..The inclusion of GHOST STORY and admitting "hey, we're all still learning is the reason. This is one of my favorite movies of all time. It was my parent's first date at a drive-in and the last horror movie my dad watched on purpose. Holds a special spot. Cheers CHH!
Ghost Story is one of the first R rated horror movies I saw on cable back in 1983. It creeped me out and still love it today. I even own the VHS and the original 1981 movie theatre poster.
I’ve missed these videos, a lot of my collection came from these. Ghost Story is a magnificent film. It pairs well with The Changeling. I agree about CHUD too!
Thanks for your tip on Big Lots. I picked up two Stealbooks, 2 4k movies, 🍿 and five Blu-ray 📀 movies. I couldn't believe one of the Blu-ray movies was marked as clearance get this $1.27. Unbelievable. 👍😎💯
I'm so jealous you got Tales from the Dark side movie . I might have to seriously bite the bullet. I'm waiting on your review and I want to hear the special features. I met James Remar at a convention and I absolutely adore him. I was so nervous meeting him and he was very friendly, sweet and charming. He told me about the origins of the story of Don't tell the story he was featured in the movie. That's one of my favorite short stories ever. I fell in love with that short story when I was a teenager.
Hey Christian hope all is well! How have I never seen Relic.. well I’ll be watching that next for sure. Death becomes Her is classic! The Stuff as well. What a great cover. ✌️
A couple days late to watching this upload but Tales From the Crypt I believe was always planned to have a trilogy, and I believe even before Demon Knight, The Frighteners was going to be the first in the trilogy, but something happened in between steps for production and Demon Knight ended up getting created first and The Frighteners ended up being its own project. I will disagree and say Demon Knight is the better film compared to Bordello of Blood, I will say Bordello of Blood is a fun watch. I think Bordello of Blood could have been an even better movie if not for all the backstage politics going on, including things like last second re-writes.
I watched Cannibal apocolypse in September of this year. A cannibal film staring John Saxon, another italian horror film he did. He did a lot of foreign movies. Canadian and italian. I thought the film was okay. Florida is actually a pretty good setting for a horror movie. Last year, I read a book about a Florida unsolved serial killer case in the 70's and just reading the facts it became apparent to me that Florida had their own "Highway of tears" and "Texas killing fields". No way did I think all the killings were connected to a single killer. I think there were probably 1-2 serial killers and a bunch of one off killers, but apparently Florida in the 70's was the most crime infested state in the U.S per capita. I watched The new kids last year and Spring break. Both Florida based movies by Sean Cunningham. I liked both, although The new kids was too "mainstream" for the plot, but I realized that going in "This isn't going to be a 70's exploitation film or even an early 80s exploitation film." which did take away some of the plot, because it needed that exploitation edge at least in my view, but I still enjoyed it. Then Eyes of a stranger. Damn, that film was awesome. I loved it and through out the movie I kept thinking "When is Dexter gonna come out and get him?" LOL. Because the movie could of easily been a Dexter prequel. In the past 2 years now, last year and this year. I've expanded my Italian Cannibal film viewing. For years and years I've only ever watched Cannibal holocaust and so far I've watched 5 in the past 2 years. At first I was kind of like "Kind of a one hit genre." which is true, but they did make some pretty good ones. I would say there was only one I didn't really enjoy and that was Cannibal ferox. I was expecting far more gore and brutality, but it just came off as mellow compared to all the other ones. I also watched Ghost story after watching the documentary In search of darkness part 1 and ya, the falling out the window scene shown in the film sold me to see the film. It was pretty good. The ghost is really really good. Great actress. Ya. Death becomes her. Great movie and as I get older and older. I'm 36,lol. A lot of people are going "Wait...your lamenting that your getting older at 36? Wait till your my age." ya well, when I'm finally your age I'll be even more depressed and fearful, lol. But as I get older and older the closer to home the film Death becomes her gets to me, especially the ending. And ya, very sad in terms of Bruce Willis. I've always loved Arnold, but I'm more of a Stallone fan. Again, as I've said over and over again. I LOVE CHUD. One of the things that I find confusing though is lost scenes of dialog. Because I watched CHUD back in the 90's on VHS and I remember the opening scene after the credits. The clean up van going around and we see two homeless people. Well in the VHS I watched I distinctly remember the homeless guy mumbling as he walks. I don't remember all the words he mumbles but he says the words "Six pack." But two of the releases that I own, neither of them have that. His mumbling is completely removed from the film. Ya, no idea why Bordello of blood is often seen as the lesser film in the Tales from the crypt movies. Between Demon knight and Bordello of blood, it is Bordello of blood all the way. In fact I rarely watch Demon knight. I've probably watched Demon knight, maybe...3 times? Bordello of blood, I've watched at least 10 times. Now maybe you can call it nostalgia bias, because I watched it as a kid, as opposed to Demon knight which I didn't see as a kid. Maybe that is kind of true, but I think it's more of the fact that I just think it's a better movie. Demon knight just seems to...I don't know, straight to the point? Lacks the charm.
The stuff is a great movie. Im waiting for a 4k release before i buy it. Im actually not buying any older movies shot on film that are in Blu Ray format. 4k or no way
This is kinda random but your facial hair and the way you do your hair makes you look like a classical vampire from the neck up.
Thanks for the shout out to The Hills Run Red, appreciate it!

Actually a great list.
"Ghost Story" is the bomb! Awesome pick.

Cool video 👍
I love all your videos on physical media 😎
Another great Bruce Willis super underrated comedy is Blind Date!
I also prefer Bordello of Blood over Demon Knight. But my favorite Tales from the Crypt film is the original from 1972
How can you not love Chris Sarandon with a squirt gun lol
I liked both for different reasons tho Demon Knight was better Billy Zane was great in that film
The monster squad is a classic and the hills have eyes is my favorite movie
The Changeling starring George C. Scott is the best ghost story.
I just watched that recently and loved it. Great story telling. A little bit slow burn but fully worth it.
There's a 3rd tales from the crypt movie aswell called ritual. It actually has a Blu release but I've never heard anyone mention it.
All amazing picks! I really love all of these movies, too. 🎉
John Saxon is good in the movie Blood Beach.
The only one I own out of this entire list is Death Becomes Her.
