Youre not suppose to blow the vapor out right? Like you hold your breath the entire time and just let it come out by tilting the head correct?

Some tricks work well, like Jellyfish or upsidedown jellyfish. But sideway jellyfish doesn't work. I don't have an idea why. But: What kind of fluid do you use?

it’s just burnt hair. No fire performer in their right mind would let fuel be anywhere near, including on the body unless it’s for a fleshing transfer, via the wick) except on the wick itself

I’ve been fire swallowing/breathing/fleshing for a little while and I still haven’t been able to do things like finger flares or lighting torches with my hand. Is it a fuel thing or am I missing something else?
With these kind of tricks I don’t shake off the fuel as much prior, it sounds like it’s just a fuel thing !

Urban Pictures nooo that would be dangerous to use. She legally cant say what shes using. If you want to go to one of her workshops im sure you could find one, I know she just did one at Flame Festival
@@maddiemadness0 Sigh. I understand why she can't legally say what she's using, but I can't help but think that that will result in people assuming she's using lighter fluid or, heaven forbid, petrol and really injuring themselves as a result.
@@cakeisamadeupdrug6134 lighter fluid actually can be used when its diluted with certain substances that are less flammable. There is a better option in another youtube video though
+@other tomperson. When a fluid evaporates it has a cooling effect, (that is how a fridge works)
The art is getting the balance correct, so that the flame and the cooling effect cancel each other.
It is the same as how a candle burns without the wick burning away. If you lit a dry wick, it would burn away in a few seconds.
When you bring the wick to your mouth during the Fire Retention, are you exhaling?

You should seek out a qualified fire instructor! There are tricks to doing it, but when people talk about them on the internet, they risk liability (and guilt for allowing somebody without proper training to hurt themselves).
What I will say as a fire spinner is that I burn myself with the metal parts of my props more often than with the flame.
