I was anticipating Morgans reaction to the Nanami scene and was not dissapointed at all. She's always been down for him and it's cool to see my favorite character get some love. Such an underappreciated character in the story imo.

They had Nanami out here clenching his fist, pulling this man's hair, choking him, making him cry and then smashing him as hard as he could. *It should've been ME, NOT HIM* Ahem, anyway, fun fact about the Granny(this is not mentioned in the manga but rather in volume extras outside the story), but she isn't actually that guy's grandma. Rather, she kidnaps young children and brainwashes them into thinking they're her grandchildren so she can manipulate and use them for her own desires. So yeah. Her underestimation of Toji's body led to him taking over and now both she and her "Grandson" have essentially been eliminated. Mei Mei fought the two Not-Geto sent against her. Now she has to face off against a Special Grade Curse. AND, if she wins, she still has to fight against Geto's body. The odds are definitely stacked against her. The scary part is, despite how powerful Nanami was in this episode, he still acknowledges that there are still some opponents around who could wipe the floor with him. This is the bare MINIMUM level going forward. And now we have Choso versus Yuji. Guess he found him first. A battle awaits.

The whole Body vs Soul interplay is really interesting to me, the Seance technique is basically the opposite of Mahito's which in turn brings his more in line with the expectations of the power system. Also interesting that neither Mahito nor Grandma really fully understand the connection between the two and have suffered consequences as a result.

The Choso Vs Yuji fight is going to POP OFF. My husband Choso is a sleeper FR, probably one of the best fights in the entire manga so far. I hope they do it justice.
I think the way they worded it in English may seem like Ichiji died or somethingbad happened, but just to explain better what Nanami said: Nanami did his best to make his condition better and Ichiji wanted and trained to be a Sorcerer (Nanami meant he was strong bc of that, explaining why could withstand the injuries). So yeah, he is okay and that's why the girls are instantly relieved by his words
Nanami single-handedly causing global warming here, oh my god. The animators were DROOLING while doing this. About Granny, she couldn't have possibly known that. Toji is the only person in the world with that Heavenly Restriction, according to Yuki. If she never tried to summon Toji before, she'd never know about that. It's not supposed to be possible that a body wins against a soul. It's just that his body is WAY stronger than anyone else's
I loved Mei Mei's JoJo posing to assert dominance. Loved that whole sequence and loved Nanami's unbridled rage. This was truly a Daddy and Mommy episode (more Dadddy of course, but I'm sure we'll get a more Mommy one in the future lol).

I missed that subliminal flash of Haibara Yuu as well… thanks for showing a freeze frame of that. That makes it a lot sadder and gives greater depth to how Nanami was feeling.
To explain th hand sword guys curse technique, whenever he encounters a coincidence (such as him seeing a clock with all numbers being the same number 4:44:44 pm or meeting a person with the same birthday as him) his curse technique automatically erases that memory from his mind in exchange for storing a miracle. (The little marks on his face.) When he would be dealt a fatal blow, his Technique activates, expending a stored up Miracle and grants him a burst of luck that would save him. (That's how he survives most of this.) So either he simply never understood his technique or he met someone with a similiar enough ability that it would be erased and stored up as a miracle for later.
Sam with the Double taps on the remote 😂😂 She definitely played some DS games where you had to tap the screen really quickly to win or something lol like the mini games on Rayman Raving Rabbids or Mario Party or something lol and Props to Dani because I couldn't figure out what Haruta was doing and why he wasn't getting knocked out lol
With this episode alone, Nanami almost took the top spot for my favorite JJK character. I love to see a calm and collected character intimidate and dominate the way he did.
Toji, according to the manga, was a changed man after marrying Mama Fushiguro that he completely given up his gambling and womanizer days. Unfortunately, he went back to normal after her death. And fun, but sad, fact: in the 100 chapter of jujutsu kaisen, it's cover page was of Gojo and co. from the past and on the very front you can see Nanami's dead friend Haibara putting beautiful flowers on his weapon bag. 😥😭 Forgot to mention, for a split second Nanami thought about his dead friend Haibara just staring at Ichiji's injured and bloody body. 😢
They were saying Ijichi is okay in that scene. What Nanami meant by the sorcerer comment was that Ijichi received some training from the school on how to mitigate damage to the body using cursed energy. It's one of the first things students learn so he had that knowledge even though he switched tracks pretty quickly. That's what slowed his death long enough for Nanami to find him.
So glad 2 of our best girls are safe still, was worried when Nobara saw the sword and got shocked. Hype episode, and probably the best of Shibuya arc so far (outside of maybe the Mechamaru x Mahito fight). Toji shadowstepping towards that granny with no sound was absolutely nasty! Also bless Dani for noticing the marks on blondie's face
when Nanami said he is a bad matchup for mohito in s1, i didn't really understand it. However if Nanami has always been this strong it makes a whole lot more sense.
Yeah, before this episode we only saw Nanami fight in disadvantageous conditions to him. This establishes the real difference between him and your average sorcerer/curse user.

Mahito is a bad matchup for Nanami is because he can change his shape and thus altering golden ratio technique and making it ineffective,aswell as being incredibly strong. When Yuji punched the veil, ino made a comment saying that Yuji might be on par with Nanami when it comes to raw strength. The latter detail was never revealed meaning - Nanami is a very proficient in close combat, and because of mahito's technique he can't actually go hand to hand with him. It has nothing to do with having a flashy technique(arguably a golden ratio technique is pretty unique compared to most things shown so far) it has nothing to do with mahito not being able to be hit by "simple attacks" Its Literally everything to do with the matchup.Even in their first encounter Yuji could beat on Mahito, and as shown so far he literally is Taijutsu with fists glowing blue occasionally red. Thats as simple and non flashy as it gets.

In a fight between body and soul, because of Toji's Heavenly Restriction, he was able to took over the body without problems. He is the peak of physical strenght.

Not to be a party pooper but its not implied Nanami is in over time just by wrapping his tie around his fist. Based on season 1, Overtime is a pact he has with his own limit on curse energy that activates when he works more than 8hrs as a sorcerer in a given day. Having the tie around his hand is most likely a condition for using the 7-3 ability with his fists. So its very possible Nanami will have a power up moment later if he didn't start "working" until much later in the day. Or conversely he may not get one when he needs it because he's only been on the clock for like 3 hours.
nanami being twice as big as last season, i absolutely DIED when the guy tried to kick him and said it was like a wall. and good catch by Dani on the markings because i definitely didn't notice the first time. im glad though because it means nobara killed him at least once also
Also in the past episodes , Geto's body acted against the brain-curse that took him over after death... So the relevance that Toji's body is way stronger then grandson's soul, is obviously justified... The only soft thing about Toji was the curse around his neck, and Gojo's insides around his blade
I can't wait for what comes next, oh Nanamin, and in case anyone is confused, Toji did assume it was because his body was special that he was able to come back and he was right, Toji has no cursed energy because of what is called the heavenly restriction, that is also the same reason that Mechamaru was always bandaged. Toji has no CE in exchange for a gited(insanely physically strong) body and Mechamaru has too much Cursed Energy, which is why he fought using years of saved up CE, in exchange for a super weak body. I'm still no sure exactly how it worked, but Toji was able to come back because of that, because he has no cursed energy... and his body was so gifted(?) As for the confusion on the frame, that was Nanami's friend Haibara who died on a mission in the flashback arc, his death was a turning point for a lot of the older characters (Gojo, Nanami, Geto, Mei Mei, etc) in making them realize that the current world they live in needs to change because good people like Haibara and Ichiji keep getting hurt.

The ending changed a little bit this time. Nobara playing at the gacha machines with Megumi right after Yuuji is like washing his face with water from the fountain/pond or whatever it may be.
Also while on the topic of bodies and souls, Yuji is also an anomaly because he can host a portion of Sukuna's soul while still maintaining control of his body and soul.
I also didn't notice the markings on Shigemo's face were disappearing until you mentioned it. Here's my theory about his curse technique: Every marking under his eyes is a life/prevents him from dying. If that's correct and if I didn't count wrong he had 6 marks and died 5 times in this episode: 1- ceiling falling on him 2- Nanami's first punch 3- Nanami's second punch 4- Nanami's third punch 5- the sign falling on him (I think that's why they showed that animation) If I'm right, he has 1 life left.

I think the way they worded it in English may seem like Ichiji died or somethingbad happened, but just to explain better what Nanami said:
Nanami did his best to make his condition better and Ichiji wanted and trained to be a Sorcerer (Nanami meant he was strong bc of that, explaining why could withstand the injuries). So yeah, he is okay and that's why the girls are instantly relieved by his words

To explain th hand sword guys curse technique, whenever he encounters a coincidence (such as him seeing a clock with all numbers being the same number 4:44:44 pm or meeting a person with the same birthday as him) his curse technique automatically erases that memory from his mind in exchange for storing a miracle. (The little marks on his face.)
When he would be dealt a fatal blow, his Technique activates, expending a stored up Miracle and grants him a burst of luck that would save him. (That's how he survives most of this.)
So either he simply never understood his technique or he met someone with a similiar enough ability that it would be erased and stored up as a miracle for later.
My headcanon is that Mei Mei's BGM is just her brother carrying a Bluetooth speaker with them for dramatic moments.

This is the first stream of someone who hasn´t read the manga that notices the markers of Haruta´s cursed technique. I am very impressed.
Toji, according to the manga, was a changed man after marrying Mama Fushiguro that he completely given up his gambling and womanizer days. Unfortunately, he went back to normal after her death.
And fun, but sad, fact: in the 100 chapter of jujutsu kaisen, it's cover page was of Gojo and co. from the past and on the very front you can see Nanami's dead friend Haibara putting beautiful flowers on his weapon bag. 😥😭
Forgot to mention, for a split second Nanami thought about his dead friend Haibara just staring at Ichiji's injured and bloody body. 😢
They were saying Ijichi is okay in that scene. What Nanami meant by the sorcerer comment was that Ijichi received some training from the school on how to mitigate damage to the body using cursed energy. It's one of the first things students learn so he had that knowledge even though he switched tracks pretty quickly. That's what slowed his death long enough for Nanami to find him.
So glad 2 of our best girls are safe still, was worried when Nobara saw the sword and got shocked. Hype episode, and probably the best of Shibuya arc so far (outside of maybe the Mechamaru x Mahito fight). Toji shadowstepping towards that granny with no sound was absolutely nasty! Also bless Dani for noticing the marks on blondie's face

when Nanami said he is a bad matchup for mohito in s1, i didn't really understand it. However if Nanami has always been this strong it makes a whole lot more sense.
Yeah, before this episode we only saw Nanami fight in disadvantageous conditions to him. This establishes the real difference between him and your average sorcerer/curse user.
Nanami doesn't have a flashy tecnique, he has good control of cursed energy and hits really hard, but Mahito can't get hurt by simple attacks.

Mahito is a bad matchup for Nanami is because he can change his shape and thus altering golden ratio technique and making it ineffective,aswell as being incredibly strong. When Yuji punched the veil, ino made a comment saying that Yuji might be on par with Nanami when it comes to raw strength. The latter detail was never revealed meaning - Nanami is a very proficient in close combat, and because of mahito's technique he can't actually go hand to hand with him. It has nothing to do with having a flashy technique(arguably a golden ratio technique is pretty unique compared to most things shown so far) it has nothing to do with mahito not being able to be hit by "simple attacks" Its Literally everything to do with the matchup.Even in their first encounter Yuji could beat on Mahito, and as shown so far he literally is Taijutsu with fists glowing blue occasionally red. Thats as simple and non flashy as it gets.

Not to be a party pooper but its not implied Nanami is in over time just by wrapping his tie around his fist. Based on season 1, Overtime is a pact he has with his own limit on curse energy that activates when he works more than 8hrs as a sorcerer in a given day. Having the tie around his hand is most likely a condition for using the 7-3 ability with his fists. So its very possible Nanami will have a power up moment later if he didn't start "working" until much later in the day. Or conversely he may not get one when he needs it because he's only been on the clock for like 3 hours.

I can't wait for what comes next, oh Nanamin, and in case anyone is confused, Toji did assume it was because his body was special that he was able to come back and he was right, Toji has no cursed energy because of what is called the heavenly restriction, that is also the same reason that Mechamaru was always bandaged.
Toji has no CE in exchange for a gited(insanely physically strong) body and Mechamaru has too much Cursed Energy, which is why he fought using years of saved up CE, in exchange for a super weak body. I'm still no sure exactly how it worked, but Toji was able to come back because of that, because he has no cursed energy... and his body was so gifted(?)
As for the confusion on the frame, that was Nanami's friend Haibara who died on a mission in the flashback arc, his death was a turning point for a lot of the older characters (Gojo, Nanami, Geto, Mei Mei, etc) in making them realize that the current world they live in needs to change because good people like Haibara and Ichiji keep getting hurt.

Here's my theory about his curse technique:
Every marking under his eyes is a life/prevents him from dying.
If that's correct and if I didn't count wrong he had 6 marks and died 5 times in this episode:
1- ceiling falling on him
2- Nanami's first punch
3- Nanami's second punch
4- Nanami's third punch
5- the sign falling on him (I think that's why they showed that animation)
If I'm right, he has 1 life left.
next ep is gonna go so hard I can already safely say it will be one of my fav eps.
