I appreciate your content but I hope you don't keep asking, "which country do you hate?" to other people. I am one of those people who are uncomfortable with that part. That is the most counterproductive part of your channel. Asking about a hated country and spreading it to the media in my opinion is a symbol of micro-hostility. Such as building stereotyped generalizations from inaccurate correspondence samples from a particular country, hating other countries. There is a lot of peace in every corner of the world, but also a lot of hatred and wars going on everywhere... Many people are disgusted by hate.. I think there are many other creative ideas to develop content on your channel than keep asking the hated country. thank you. I hope your channel continues to grow. 🙏🙏🙏
ZANZIBAR TALKS. I wanted to ask the normal person here in ZANZIBAR this question, an interesting experiment that I'm doing around the world. Do you have a country you don't like so much? Which and why?
All western countries, because Muslims are not welcome there. By that I mean tourist trips, and for life I understand that, and I would mind if a Westerner came to my country to live.
I'm not from Zanzibar but yes, I have a Country I don't like so much. It is🇺🇲 because they like to take all the credit, without giving all other Countries in the world, their credit. (I'm from the US. Many Generations) Thanks for the videos. They are very fun and very informative.
@@Anonymoususer1930 The Omanis used the island as a hub of the East African slave trade and colonized the island until the 1960's when Zanzibar rebelled and kicked the Omanis out. Even now there are Omani businessmen there running resorts that I have been to- and they seem to look down on their local hired help as beneath them, that is the impression I got anyway.
Oman moved their capital to Zanzibar, therefore Zanzibar was not ever a 'colony' of Oman, contrary to western belief the current and previous governments of Zanzibar have all retained extremely close ties to the Kingdom of Oman not only because Zanzibar is predominantly Islamic but also because the government of Oman have large infrastructure investments like providing reliable water supplies throughout Zanzibar, building a brand new sea port and education investments. Plus because 90% of the population of Zanzibar have either close, far relatives or an affinity with Oman. The majority of 'Omani' sultans who ruled Zanzibar were dark in skin color, wouldn't be surprised to find that most of the people you see in the video probably have some connection with Oman. It's a kind of thing you only get to understand when you live in Zanzibar for a long time, not go on a pre organized tour that has been specifically catered to rouse emotions and interests in tourists. Don't get me wrong slavery did exist in Zanzibar but to the biggest extent it was done by black arabs, the most famous being a black man called Tipu Tipu. Therefore it's not really a surprise to find that almost all people in Zanzibar don't hate Oman matter of fact many of them would even embrace it. There's no better example of this than the current current government of Zanzibar which is led by a black man with ofcourse close affinities with Oman, his entire cabinet is the same and therefore this naturally builds really good relationship between Oman and Zanzibar. This video is clear proof that Zanzibaris have no real grudge towards people in Oman, I find it wiered how the mostly white people who watch this want people in Zanzibar to hate Oman, don't believe me, just google Oman Investments in Zanzibar and see really what kind of relationship there is between this great nations.
@@ras351 First thing, during the time of the revolution of Zanzibar slave trade had long been abolished. Under the last Monarch or Sultan of Zanzibar, slave trade had been long abolished. Secondly slave traders of Zanzibar under the previous Monarch eras, were of African decent, the biggest slave trader was a man called Tippu Tippu who was a black man. Thirdly, despite being described as 'Omani' the Sultans of Zanzibar were all kings of African roots and had African features i.e. dark skin! The revolution in Zanzibar was lead by a black Christian man called John Gideon Okolle, who hated the dominance of Islam in Zanzibar. He he was able to create a large rebel band under the banner of freedom from an outdated depressive Monarch and preached better economic treasures after freedom. Zanzibar was going through a very tough economical and political period and therefore naturally John was able easily garner enough support to overthrow the last Monarch of Zanzibar, Sultan Jamshid bin Abdulla, who despite being described as an Arab is infact a dark skinned man with African roots, again, so are all the previous Monarchs of Zanzibar who ruled before him. What John, and apparently the tourists who go on tours in Zanzibar, did not realize is that the locals in Zanzibar did not persay 'HATE' Oman, they just genuinely wanted a better future for Zanzibar with a new system that was not based on an outdated Monarch system. After the revolution, John Okello tried to get into power, however because he was a Christian he was naturally not liked by the almost entirely Islamic population. Therefore the first president of Zanzibar, Abeid Karume (who unsurprisingly married an Islamic Arab woman called Shadya Karume) was sworn into power under a political party called the ASP (African Socialist Party of Zanzibar) which had been the main opposition party to the Monarchy even before the revolution. What is very interesting is that the ASP was actually started by rebel ARABS who did not like the Monarch in Zanzibar! Like in all revolutions, overthrowing the Monarch in Zanzibar did not happen without bloodshed. Many who resisted were killed. However after the transfer of power the new president of Zanzibar made sure that Zanzibar would still be an Islamic nation and that all people who served under the Monarch were welcomed to stay, many did flee fearing repercussions, some to Dar es Salaam, some to Mombassa, some to Europe and some to Oman but many also remained and TOGETHER they formed a new Zanzibar. John Gideon Okolle did try to over-throw the new government but was not able to garner any real support the second time around and was soon banished from the Islands of Zanzibar, he was not ever found again. To this day almost all people in Zanzibar have blood relatives in Oman and therefore it is natural for the government of Zanzibar to have close ties with Oman. It is nice to see the relationship of Zanzibar and Oman getting stronger and stronger by the day! Right now I can confidently say the relationship between the government of Zanzibar and Oman is probably stronger in comparison to the relationship between the last Monarch of Zanzibar and Oman! Someone asked why don't Zanzibaris hate Oman? Well the simple answer is that Zanzibar simply wanted to get rid of a dated Monarch and establish itself as a republic it had nothing to do with Oman, so Zanzibaris have no reasons to hate Oman. Important to understand, Zanzibar was not EVER a 'colony' of Oman, it was once the CAPITAL of the Omani empire, however after the Omani empire separated Zanzibar had it's own Sultans as an independent Monarch that was ruled by African Sultans of Zanzibar FROM Zanzibar.
