A very chunni card game. I feel Liora’s pain on all this zoomer energy.
Not chunni enough. The movie was better since it shows the units attacking, defending and all the units that can speak have spoken lines.

Vanguard, my first tcg. You picked a good game to pick up. Very simple, cheap starter decks for sale and you can use it as a base for other tcgs liek the digimon one.
That's how they get ya- cheap starters with every other piece for the deck being expensive for a 4 max copy game. Promos you have to spend money for directly one way or another. Making retroactive changes to the game's mecha ics o need your deck... I like the game, but hate bushi themselves lol
@ashemabahumat4173 Vanguard is good in that they provide 4 copies of the main cards you need for the deck right off the bat but you are right in that they encourage you to upgrade the deck from packs and stuff.
Ah yes, I love spending $25 for the Recent Starter Decks!!!!
And Energy Generators that are $20 per copy!! So Cheap!!! 😍😍😍
I can totally recommend this to my friends because they totally want to spend $50+ on essential staples, :D And that's not even counting the main grade 3

Good, a TCG that doesnt require us to buy a $30 dollar Land card 12 times and study possible 103,473,473,583,333 combinations from opponent’s deck
Highly recommend Grand Archive TCG as well. Anime TCG with the game balance of Western TCGs. Community is great and the devs are hella transparent.
Just celebrated a year old last month and had the world championships with $20k in cash and more going to the champion
The first fight is exactly the reason Bushi didn't need to print vanilla decks and charge almost 20 dollars for it ;)
And suddenly Bav and Orfist went up in price
My first tcg was YGO, but I invested in Vanguard the most because I somehow liked its gameplay more than YGO. But ever since the series rebooted twice and Bushi hardly ever promoted premium format, I sold my decks lmao. Now I stray away from any tcgs. I still have 1 V format deck left because no one is buying it.

One important note for newer players is that if a cards power is lower than the target, the attack doesnt hit. Eg. At 6:00, left side got a heal trigger, and gave 10k power to her VG, but right side attacked with only 13k power. So itd be 13k vs 23k, in which the attack wont hit and hence there is actually no need to guard
When it started, it was literally a kid's game. After the reboot, the game has completely changed

Not gonna lie, since I am from Yugioh player, I do use Yugioh terminology in Vanguard because it's easier to say. Like Superior Call, I said Special Summon. Rather than Drop Zone, Imma say Graveyard 😂.

I play, but the game is kinda eh. I like it but the game takes its too seriously. They changed how the deck I vibed with the most works, they make abitrary mechanic changes to nerf decks and to keep players from cooking, and theyre too insistent on using promos of all things to buff popular decks... plus, the decks I wanna play barely get support that helps or follows the original gameplay.
Give Premium format a go. Lot more enjoyable

@Higunner6 While it can be, it's a lot more worth the investment. Premium format is Vanguard's eternal format, meaning that while cards can rotate around, it will always be playable. Vanguard's Standard format, which is everything with the D-series icon on the bottom left of the card, can be just as expensive at times (at time of writing this, a playset of Divine Sister Biscotti for Keter Sanctuary costs about $100). The biggest difference is how expansive Premium is since you have access to the whole history of the game. You also have more ways to interact on your opponent's turn, along with more shield value (something that is the biggest frustration of Standard for me). I would at least look into it since you can realistically use any of the Stride Decksets, like the Messiah or Shiranui ones, to jumpstart your entry to Premium, and then pick up pieces slowly over time.
@@AnimeMangaBazinga I am more worried about "actual" playability. If I understand correctly, you can use whatever exists on Vanguard but, let's say Hyperdimensional has little to no hope fightong against something like Chrono. Wouldn't you end up with just a handful of hyper meta decks?
@Higunner6 that is possible sadly in all formats for this game. The format can shift around as new cards are introduced. The difference is that there are more options to respond in the Premium format in comparison. You also have older cards that can sometimes provide unique interactions that you wouldn't find in Standard. Some of these include better ways to guard the opponent's turn.
@@AnimeMangaBazinga maybe its me but I thought Vanguard had an issue where the archtyping was so rigid, you could just basically just chose from cards form that archtype, as in there arent "generic" staples, just archtype specific staples, is that not the case?
