You really get the feeling that he’s truly a reformed warrior who’s kept the power he’s collected in his darker days and wishes to use it to prepare potential heroes. Also, it’s cool to analyze how he speaks to the villain characters; almost like he knows them on sight since he used to be one himself. Nice work from the studio and Steve Blum on this.
Reminds me of how, in MKX, he puts an end to the bad blood between the Kuai Liang and Shirai Ryu by just talking to Scorpion and admitting his clan's faults.

Aleksandar Vil dude those aren't even close to katanas. Blade shape is way different (straight and with 2 edges) blade isn't the right size, the guard is nowhere near a katanas shape.
This is the one thing I love about voice acting, writing, and the model work. Yeah, they recycle lines for different characters, yeah, they're LITERALLY doing the same animations in the intros. But the way they're written, spoken, and animated still do a damn good job.

I don't get it, because these are the same fans that cheered NRS when Scorpion was a guest character in the first Injustice game.

They aren't katanas though? Katanas are curved, Sub-Zero uses longswords.
Aleksandar Vil dude those aren't even close to katanas. Blade shape is way different (straight and with 2 edges) blade isn't the right size, the guard is nowhere near a katanas shape.
Plus the Lin Kuei are a Chinese clan, most likely some Chinese sword weapon

This is the one thing I love about voice acting, writing, and the model work. Yeah, they recycle lines for different characters, yeah, they're LITERALLY doing the same animations in the intros. But the way they're written, spoken, and animated still do a damn good job.
