Neanderthal’s strength and stamina, their intelligence and endurance-along with so many unique attributes-has always impressed me. I suppose the more evidence that turns up, the more modern humans will have to appreciate-and be appreciative of-the fact that Neanderthals were just as human as “we” are. And not to be disparaged as stupid or brutish. Thanks for the great watch!!
Knowing the history of what Homo sapiens have done to their brothers when they arrived in their homeland, it’s not difficult to think they could’ve easily genocided their cousins, the Neanderthals.
It always makes me wonder that while we started on a level playing field that some humans are still in native tribes while others built massive cities and technological miracles...
@Daness-g2f the more culturally and technologically sophisticated cultures of the ancient world were mostly from pretty warm climates. Egyptians, Romans, Greeks, Sumerians, Indus, Aztecs, Olmecs and Incas were all more advanced than the people living to the north of them.
Much of the advanced technology on Earth is coming as aid projects from very advanced ET groups working to improve human society. The few primitive tribes on Earth are remnants of old cultures that reflect earlier times, going back over several million years of Earth history.
@@Daness-g2f The cooler, higher latitudes are easier to live and work in, which explains more advanced cultures. The Equatorial areas can be difficult workplaces because of the climate and environmental conditions. All people on Earth have about the same level of potential for advancement.
if I remember correctly from my studies (paleoanthropology), the skeletons of Neanderthals indicated that they were not able to throw spears.. (something about their shoulder joints had some limitations we do not have). In addition they were clearly not runners unlike the newcomer humans that could run their wounded prey down and finish them off using missile weapons like short spears with the atl-atl throwing stick. Neanderthals was ambush predators and knowing how alert animals are, they had to have exceptional stealth skills to get that close to an animal, or maybe they got close to a big animal which then charged them to protect itself.
British Neanderthals? What they have nationalities now. How about using a proper title, Neanderthals found in Britain. It might be longer, but at least it is accurate. Stop being lazy. 🤦
