I just spent a few days at Lulworth Cove and aside from thinking “yes, it’s all quite lovely”, also thinking “I’ll bet Cadoha has been here”. It certainly looks like an anchorage that would be included on your website.
Your videos are a class apart.. They are so well narrated, the content is educational and the recorded scenery is fabulous .. Keep up this special good work..
The answer everyone is waiting for is ... A grouping of jellyfish is called a bloom if they are wall to wall in say a marina or cove, a swarm or smack if grouped like Bees, or less commonly a fluther if grouped "line astern" to move through currents. Eric
Thanks for this seasons video's for someone who does not sail they are amazing to see the best of the UK , please keep up the good work and all the best to the crew look forward to next year.
I'm South African but my great grand father was born in St Mawes / Saint Just-in-Roseland and I've always wanted to go there, this just makes me want it more.
@@allsearpw3829 are you from the area? my surname is Paddey and I've seen in photos some names on gravestones with with that name on. I was wondering if that surname is common in the area.
I am fascinated by your episodes. I was born in Australia, but my fathers family are from Polperro and prior to that, a house called Boskenna near St Buryans going back to 1325.
Ah back at st mawes I saw u there earlier this year I think I shouted hi I stay there for summer season on a mooring ball in st mawes but next year I’m Thinking of staying later like November I always worry about weather and sail back to Cardiff it’s horrible if weather kicks off 😉
Hey, that is perfect for a Brit because they are always calling things "blooming" and they can call them blooming J fish. 🙂 You know he smiled when he read that.
I'll be down on that beach next week. So far I've been there by speedboat, dinghy, canoe, on foot and by car. Maybe one day I'll add sailboat to the list. I spent what seems like half my childhood down there and much preferred the Roseland Peninsular before all the posh people moved in. I don't really fit in anymore with my 19 year old Pleugeot. I learnt to sail with a local (I want so say fisherman, but that may be my imagination) from St Mawes, who lived right by the Harbour, back in the 80's on one of the local designed and built boats.
St Mawes is dead posh. Last time I anchored off there was in 1998. From memory the Co-op store was a SPAR back then. Most convenience stores carry basic wine selections. Not St Mawes... alongside the cans of Special Brew and bottles of Blue Nun were bottles of Krug and Louis Roederer champagne. 🙂
Beautiful footage as usual! Why did you change your channel name? Also - are you guys heading back to a marina for the winter and do you have any recommendations in the Southampton area? We have just bought a 36-ft sailboat and would like to move her there in April! (She's currently in Kent for the winter)... can't wait to start exploring all the anchorages you have documented!!! Thanks so much!!!
We really like ocean quay in Southampton. Reasonable prices and beautiful facilities also not far to walk into town. As for the channel name we spend more time hiking and diving than we do actually sailing plus we have some adventures to the mountains planned soon and so we just felt that ‘adventures’ encompassed more of what we do, rather than putting mountain climbing videos on a sailing channel. As for this winter we’re coming out of the water next week and into a shed for a whole host of jobs. It’s going to be a super busy winter indeed.
@@CadohaAdventures Thanks for the rec! And good luck with the boat projects! Looking forward to seeing them and your trips to the mountains In upcoming videos!
Hi guys loved our very quick chat while you were anchored at Salcombe in August about to take Hank ashore. Amazing footage as always but what is the semi transparent with white dots creature at 1.54? Thanks guys
If you’re referring to the long dogfish type creature, it’s a smooth hound, the larger cousin of the dogfish. They can grow to a good size and are also good eating.
Hi guys nope not the smooth hound, the shot literally just before the smooth hound, could just be some funky weed but it's almost transparent with dots on it
I did not know the English word for a herd, stampede, flock or school of jellyfish. Logical, as English is my second language. However, I adopted the new word for clear water. Fed up with "crystalclear". "Ginclear" it will be for me from now on. And.....Hank is a Vizsla. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Ha ha, yes well we seem to do as much hiking and under water hunting and cooking as we do sailing (if not more so) and so 'adventures' feels more encompassing/fitting ☺️
Your photography and choice of music is superb!. I'm afraid to say that I cringe a little when your grab the lobsters and crabs! I think that unless you really have to, those wonderful creatures should be left to enjoy their lives rather than being prey to what can only be described as an indulgence. Still, I love your channel though -and sorry for being so 'whimpy'!
@@jeremyyork3538 I don’t think it’s a matter of bravery or cowardice, just personal preference and it’s not for you, I get it, that’s fair enough. The world would be pretty dull if we were all carbon copies of each other. Glad you enjoyed the rest of the videos though 🙏🏼😊
@@CadohaAdventures You're right about personal preference. Anyway, I just love your channel - it's one of the very best and I'd love to try your sailing lifestyle for myself. Your Anchorage guides are a great resource too and will help many I'm sure.

Depending where you search, the collective noun for jellyfish is bloom, flutter or smack. I think a sting of jellyfish would be more appropriate
Smack seems to be the one coming up the most frequently so far. 👌🏼

It is a lovely place, not as hot as your home place .

Love to hear about your upcoming winter plans and cost associated with living on a boat if it’s not too nosy!
Another great episode guys, excellent video work , following from Australia
Thanks, John, glad to hear you enjoyed it 🙏🏼

Great underwater footage, great to see your "camera woman" getting a different perspective of your dives 😁
Ditto!
Absolutely top class underwater footage

The collective noun for jellyfish is bloom. There are others, but that is the generally recognized one.

Great video and your building an amazing map of where to sail in england and wales

Too posh for me when I bike toured through there. I could only afford a sandwich from the co-op and had to pitch my tent in the park after dark.
Hi!
Will Cadoha ever sail north and further north to circumnavigate Britain?
Random question i know. Loving your vlogs.
Hope all's well. 8 )

The equipment that you were using when diving do you have any info on it
The greenish/black in the lobster is the row, turns red when cooked, delicius!
You guys can extend your off-grid time by sprouting microgreens aboard.
The collective noun for jellyfish is a “smack”
Or a fluther
That works 😬
The collective noun for collective nouns is a "bollocks".
Ha ha, Gin clear is now the official adjective of clear water for us high functioning alcoholics of the world 😬😬
And yes, Hank is indeed a Vizsla 🐕
It's a smack of jellyfish. I said a wobble 😂😂😂. Great vlog as always.
Shit ton of Jellyfish 😂 🇨🇦
I think it should be a mould of jellyfish
Swarm, bloom or smack of jelly fish
Oh my Whippet used to love lobster
It is a smack of jellyfish 👍🇦🇺🇳🇿
It's a wobble of jelly fish.....
A sting of jellyfish
A trifle of jelly fish😂
Wait hold on! You've changed your name! (or am I going crazy?)

Very true.

Are you changing your handle for the 'gram too? Branding being everything these days and all that...
Yes I think so. We have a couple of adventures to the mountains planned shortly so will likely do it before we head off.
