Wow Gabby good for you for DNFing all those books and only sticking to what you are truly enjoying. This is inspiring to me as I always feel guilty DNFing.
I just love how inclusive and diverse your reading is it’s great cause I feel like I can always come to you to find a diverse amount of recommendations
I hope you give the devil in Nanking another try. It is dark but once you hit the end it all falls into place. It’s a story about trauma, how people process grief and loss, and how to start the process of healing. People so often are unkind to themselves when they feel unworthy of love, when trauma has changed the way they view themselves. It does go back and touch on the Nanking massacre which is so important to learn about. It is one of my top all time favorite books & from this book alone I went and got more of this authors books. It is heavy but so worth it! I cried at the end.
I am so excited for Nestlings! Something must've been in the air because my October reading was great too! I only had one 5 star read but I was just really in the reading mood 😌
You killed it this month for sure! I’ve been following for almost a year and never watched as many of your videos, old and new, as much as I did this month because you kept popping up in my recommendations lol
Billy Summers is one of my favorite Stephen King thrillers, great stuff! But I’m old and love nearly all of his books lol….Rouge I just couldn’t stop reading….it was weird but I got the messages….we differ there…I’m currently reading The Troop because of your videos….so far so good! I’m definitely not a manga reader…my son loves it though…
You killed it, Gabby!! Great job! I was not as prolific, but I read 12 books. Most were mediocre but a 4⭐ and two 5⭐'s. Now, I'm on an 800+ page fantasy that I have to read by the end of the year. Almost caught up on one of my reading challenges!!!
I loved Billy Summers! It's one of my favorite of his newer books. I agree with you on Spin a Black Yarn. I read the whole book and I remember nothing about it. I had zero connection to any of the stories. Bummer! Black River Orchard is FANTASTIC! 🍎🍏🍎🍏
OMG, Burn the negative - Ihave the same thought! I thought the ending is so cringey, but the epilogue nailed it! The handyman method - I love this book :))) And yes, Black sheep is the same for me, so boring and drawn out

I can’t wait for Nestlings and Chlorine 🥰 I read five 5 star books this month (😱) - Piñata, The Only One Left, Her Body and Other Parties, Frankenstein and Maeve Fly
All the M/M romances you recommend...I'll have a great time reading them...I saw you reading Stars in your Eyes in Jesse's reading Sprint and I immediately got myself a copy and I loved loved loved it!!!!...
Here's what I read in October All of us villans Im glad my mom died by jennette mccurdy It by Stephen king The crossing by Michael Connelly The ex hex Romantic comedy by curtis sittenfeld A shadow crown by melissa Blair Stone blind by natalie hayes Clown in a cornfield by adam cesare Black candle women Your not supposed to die tonight by kalynn Bayron
lol, it's funny when you called The Husband Stitch from Her Body and Other Parties "unique" when that one's actually a retelling! It's derived from a French story of unknown origin, which was popularized by Washington Irving's 1824 short story "The Adventure of the German Student," other retellings include "The Green Ribbon" by Alvin Schwartz from the 1980s.
My library request for A Haunting on the Hill just came in! (sadly, the audiobook waitlist is still super long and I don't really want to wait another 4-6 months). Bummed you didn't like it...but The Lake House worked for me when it didn't work for you, so my hope remains. Really appreciate getting spooky-book recs from your channel.
Trying to catch up on videos today. 🙈 But I felt the exact same way about The September House. Wasn't for me either. And not more turtle abuse!!!! Nooooo!!!!! 🐢 🫣 Thanks for the warning. That is a definite no no for me.
Ya lol I read my roommate is a vampire it has some really funny parts i laughter out loud but as far as the love story went is was very awkward cause I agree he spoke like he was from a very older time and the ending was very cheesy but thank you so much for the recommendation as always your awesome 🤗🌸
gracias por las recomendaciones Gabby, me interesaron 3 libros espero pueda leerlos en algún momento, este mes leí poco pero mi libro favorito fue "Please Look After Mom" muy buen video♡ saludosss♡
gabby! i don't know what manga you have lined up to read next but since you've been checking out BL titles, i think you should try checking out some GL - or yuri, basically f/f or sapphic - manga! there's a lot of different series out there for you to choose from, but if you like things focused on high schoolers at all, i'd *highly* recommend failed princesses. it's a six-volume series about this popular girl who gets dumped by her cheating boyfriend and the nerdy girl who comforts her. bloom into you is another classic one about high schoolers, and whisper me a love song is really good, too! in terms of manga about adults, doughnuts under a crescent moon is absolutely fantastic, and has really good asexual representation! even if they don't explicitly say it, both of the girls pursuing a relationship with each other are asexual, so i figured that's something you'd enjoy. still sick, i can't believe i slept with you, how do we relationship?, and run away with me girl are other lovely ones as well, but i think you'd really like at least one of these series. sorry for the insane amount of recommendations, but i figured you'd like a decent list of places to start!
no problem! forgot to mention she loves to cook, she loves to eat which is another yuri manga following adults with an asexual - but not aromantic - mc! saw you read doughnuts under a crescent moon and figured you'd probably like another series somewhat like that. (so happy you're enjoying it though, i read it online as it was serializing and it's one of my favorite yuri manga of all time, that artist always has series that hit. another one by them is coming out in december - i don't know if the english release is marry a girl friend or something else - but that one i also can't wait to get my hands on, so insanely good)
I'm in the mood to write a haunted house story but I don't know I want to do it at NWANO. I may try a few paragraphs here and there, and your suggestions are helpful, so thx.
I am so impressed your brain can hold that many stories in a month!
Wow Gabby good for you for DNFing all those books and only sticking to what you are truly enjoying. This is inspiring to me as I always feel guilty DNFing.

Can confirm it was a great month on your Patreon!
Aw thank you!! 🥹💗👏
God, I LOVED Chlorine. I wasn't anticipating how much I would love it. It's always great when a book surprises you.

I read three books by him. Next one may be Misery.
My roommate is a vampire was my favourite read of this month :) I really enjoyed the audiobook!

Thanks a bunch for recommending 'Sheets', it's adorable!
October was a good month for me. I binge read a few series like I was busting them out. I think I read like 7 books in a week
I read Going Bicoastal last month, thought it was pretty cute! A fun concept!
I am starting a buddy read of Nestling tomorrow and this has me even more excited!!
Hope you enjoy it too! 🥰
« I just didn’t give a fuck about any of the characters » 🤣 okay
I loved Billy Summers! It's one of my favorite of his newer books. I agree with you on Spin a Black Yarn. I read the whole book and I remember nothing about it. I had zero connection to any of the stories. Bummer! Black River Orchard is FANTASTIC! 🍎🍏🍎🍏
I hardly ever purchase books new, but immediately bought Nestlings based off the vlog. I should get it today, and I can’t wait!
Hope you enjoy it!
I had a bunch of DNFs this month too, but as disappointing as it is, it's good to just let things go. Too many other great books to be found!
OMG, Burn the negative - Ihave the same thought! I thought the ending is so cringey, but the epilogue nailed it! The handyman method - I love this book :)))
And yes, Black sheep is the same for me, so boring and drawn out

I DNF'd Tell Me I'm Worthless too!
Here's what I read in October
All of us villans
Im glad my mom died by jennette mccurdy
It by Stephen king
The crossing by Michael Connelly
The ex hex
Romantic comedy by curtis sittenfeld
A shadow crown by melissa Blair
Stone blind by natalie hayes
Clown in a cornfield by adam cesare
Black candle women
Your not supposed to die tonight by kalynn Bayron
I read The Troop by Nick Cutter last month and I was as so horrified at the turtle scene. The way he wrote it seemed so real and I cried.
I wanted to read sheets in October so bad! I borrowed a digital copy from Libby but it was glitching and only showed every other couple of pages
Happy Halloween 🎃👻
Thanks you too!! ❤
I'm so glad you liked Sheets! Do you plan on reading the rest of the series? My favorite book in October was Finding Christmas by Karen Schaler.
I didn’t even realize it was a series! I’d probably continue it 🥰
There two books and a short story that follow it. 💖
lol, it's funny when you called The Husband Stitch from Her Body and Other Parties "unique" when that one's actually a retelling!

25 books in one month doesn't even sound possible 😱😱😱
Trying to catch up on videos today. 🙈

I almost DNFed Rouge and it took me 2 weeks to read...
there is a new junji ito coming out this month I think, tombs was last years new book.
Happy Halloween 🎃 🍬 🍫 🍭
Thanks you too!! 🥰
"Dead of Winter"by Darcy Coates was great....even though i had it figured out
I read first few chapters on Just Kindle and liked it. I can pick it up after I finish a few books I am currently reading.
I'm in the mood to write a haunted house story but I don't know I want to do it at NWANO. I may try a few paragraphs here and there, and your suggestions are helpful, so thx.
Gabby what is the book club pick for November for book troop book club?
Midnight is the Darkest Hour by Ashley Winstead 😊
I DNFd rouge too
I finished it but did not care for Rouge either.
Give Billy Summers another chance. It reminds me of 11/22/63 and other better Stephen King's books.
💜💜
🍁🍁❤️
Happy halloween ❤
