In one of the music books which I inherited from my mother (who was a music teacher), there is a "Rondo Alla Turca" by Burgmuller. When I first saw this piece as a child, I was intrigued by it and decided to learn it. This was how I learned about the existence of Friedrich Burgmuller and his compositions.

Burgmüller amazingly compressed all the best things of Romantic era into his 3 set of little Etudes.

Wonderful performances! Also the recording quality is exceptionally good. Could I ask what make and model of piano were they played on, as well as the age of the instrument?

This is an utterly invaluable channel. Thank you for bringing out so many pearls with such confidence to help us get a better picture of Romantic & early 20th century piano music. It has become a treasure for me personally to analyse charming little pieces you've made me aware of, to learn harmony better.

Who doesn't? I do one or two of these at a time with other pieces I'm learning. They're really great for progressing, in my opinion. At least, they've been very helpful to me. I like them A LOT more than other studies because they feel like real pieces/songs instead of just hyper specialized etudes that lack stories/emotions/melodies. Anyway, that's my take on the collection. If you're super good, they won't be of use, but for intermediate players, they're fantastic.
