Mam sorry for pointing out that oxalate gives CO and CO2 gas on heating with conc. H2SO4. Which on bubbling through limewater turns milky. In ICSE board and BSc practicals as per Lucknow university course oxalate is placed in conc H2SO4 group. What are your point of views. why do u put oxalate in special group ?
Actually i guess results of preliminary test for oxalate is not easily visible so she adviced performing its test after other anions Although you are correct that oxalate belongs to conc. H2SO4 grp (given in ncert ) But i guess she is teaching practical techniques
Ma'am I tried this test for oxalate but the white ppt. were not dissolving in dil. H2SO4.... Also in standard lab manuals for sulphate ion testing they try to dissolve the ppt in dil. HCl rather than conc. HCL as shown in your video ...plz clarify these queries ma'am why we used conc. HCl..instead of dil. HCl ??

Dont focus much on numericals as their weitage is maximum of 12 marks. Volume 1 NCERT is of 42 marks so do more chapters from it. For volume 2 Do the named reactions , chemical tests, physical properties from the organic chapters.Its better to leave 2 or 3 low weightage chapters of u r struggling in chemistry but do the others throughly ad it is virtually 1 mark question paper so every thing in a chapter is important .Hence do not do selective parts of the chapters .All the best Do well. Exactly! oxalate belongs to conc H2SO4 group...it gives brisk effervescence in the presence of conc sulphuric acid

No gas was evolved with dil h2so4 u dumb
No we can't because if it would be sulphite then it would have given the test with dil h2S04
Maam but oxalate is also of group 2
