Guide? Yes. Plan? To some degree. As guides we plan the food and schedule the camps and whatnot, but we're not around for the office/overhead/booking. Typically folks call and book, and I get stuffed onto whichever trips I can fit in during the summer. This one was slightly different (and, frankly, pretty rare) in that the other guides and I took our own families. We all still paid for our kids to come along, but it was pretty casual in that we all knew each other.
@@johnphillips3526 Sure - although I really only work on Cataract Canyon and the Main Salmon. Tour West does the Grand Canyon too, but I don't get down there very often. For those 2 trips you're looking at 4 or 5 days for Cataract, and 6 days for the Main Salmon. If you want something shorter, I can recommend some other outfitters or trips.
great video!
Thanks you guys! For everything! For SO. MANY. THINGS. You guys are the best.
Do you remember the water flow levels?
Apologies for the late reply - I was on the Salmon again. I think it was at about zero feet at Corn Creek - maybe a little less. it was low.
Where are you located at in salmon 😊
Tour West (the outfitter) is based in Utah but we run the Main Salmon, Cataract Canyon, and the Grand Canyon.
Do you plan and guide these trips?

@@Strayfoto I’ll have to see what they want and go from there. How is best to get ahold of you? It would also be cool to catch up.

I floated down about a week before the fire. Best time I have had in 30 years!!!
I do love the Salmon. Such a unique trip and a dramatic change from the desert canyons I usually run.
