What about the usb stick, the power bank and the mouse with usb c dongle to fit every laptop (never heard about bluetooth?) . Such unknown products, glad i saw them here first
PSA: those camera covers can and will crack/shatter someone's display glass. I have seen it multiple times. Be careful closing and transporting.
They're also kind of pointless if you use an Apple laptop because the webcam light only comes on when it's active, and it's a physical connection meaning it literally CANNOT be active if the light isn't.

@@tommihommi1 This should be standard practice by this point, but it adds a few pennies of extra cost in the circuitry so most don't.
@@TalesOfWar but an led is “useless”, because it is almost always software based. you could disable it by hacking which is probably something an hacker would want to do if they where to actually bother with hacking your camera. This would be straight up impossible if it would be hardwired, so that if the camera would get power, the led would also turn on.
Now that doesn’t mean you need to be afraid since to hack an camera you need more than a sketchy website with an virus. You need to individually target an person. This makes it extremely unlikely you get your camera hacked if you aren’t an famous person or have messed with some criminal. There wouldn’t be any reason to target specifically you when they would rather spend their time on someone more valuable.
I have a Lenovo laptop, much like Tommi mentioned above.
It has an LED indicator, but there is also a physical slider built into the bezel. No electronics involved, just a bit of red plastic that slides in and out of the way of the camera. It's one of those simple-but-genius solutions that I will absolutely be looking for in all future purchases.
That mouse with both a type-c and usb-a dongle is actually a cool idea.
it's called bluetooth mouse with useless fancy crap the click sound is the only good thing about it it doesn't even look like it's a comfortable shape

@@charininanan2985 if you're using Logitech Lightspeed or Razer Hyperspeed or other brands' version, there's no noticeable difference between wired / wireless. We're talking specifically about Bluetooth mice latency.

PD chargers (especially battery banks) rated at 60W+ are actually quite rare right now. That's why they're here. :)

I used an earlier model of the cooler at the end. It helped keep my dying and overheating laptop alive just long enough to finish my semester, working with 3D renders.

That's true but a CPU is gonna survive past the service life of the device usually. Unless you are 24/7 at 100% cpu usage and TJMax, unlikely to see any issues with longevity. Even then.. likely would be fine.
That said, I repasted my XPS 9570 when I had it and am mindful of my thermals on devices but it is still unlikely to cause issues for the average user even over a long service life of 5-7yrs
Yup, there's nothing like exporting something on Adobe premiere squeezing your butt chicks hoping that 90 + Celsius won't grill your laptop....any extra cooling always help
I really hope nobody thinks that thing will actually provide any extra cooling. I bought pretty much this exact thing years ago from the same company and I can tell you after much testing that when you plop on an outside fan it does absolutely nothing to speed up internal fans or help cooling in any way..
and when 90C is still 15C less than the max rated for the chip I'm just never worried enough to waste money on this plastic waste in hopes of getting down to 88C
Nothing increases longevity as much as a hot temps caused by bad airflow which itself is cause by dust, which you have because you bought a 65 db thing that sucks in dust into every hole in your laptop, even when it´s idling. At the start the 3 degrees decreasment is easily replicated by giving your laptop more breathing room by putting it onto 2 lego blocks or undervolting.
This used to be the case. A long time ago.
Bringing temps down might increase the output of the device. it will do pretty much nothing on the longevity. Modern devices just clock down when reaching a temp limit to stop them from damaging themselves. That all said, nothing in laptops is/should be designed to fail before the laptop is due to replacement because it's just to slow.

I actually bought one of those SanDisk drives last week. It's so fantastic.
I love videos like this - I think if you can take a device and a few accessories that all fit in a laptop bag, to a coffee shop and do 99 percent of your work except obviously having a loud conversation about private things with customers, the device passes my test. Any accessory that allows you to do more work on the move and more play in-between is awesome.
can say the cooler does its job, yeah it's not meant for every laptop of course but
still drops my MSI 1050ti laptop (and has been since launch) about 9c, and my ASUS 970m drops the same 9c.
on top of undervolts and other things, makes a huge improvement. the cooler def does its purpose

There's no point in buying a different non-rechargeable wireless mouse than the G305
Logitech MX Master 3 is pretty nice for travel and comfort, IMO

@@bepbep7418 Rechargeable mice means built-in battery with a USB port to recharge it. You can't plug the mouse in to charge when the battery runs out, you need to put a fresh one in to keep using it.
Totally agreed. Only reason to get the MX anywhere 3 is if you have no USB ports on your laptop.
Even the anywhere 2 is better since it at least has horizontal scroll + all the features of the 3.
I used to use one of those coolers on an old lenovo y410p. It did pretty well, the machine hit 99C and throttled hard but was high 80's to 90's without throttle with the cooler. Definitely needed headphones when using it though.
This video is so very good. The cooler at the end, I've been needing one of these for an older laptop, that I had to stop using as it kept crashing due to heat. I had re-applied the thermal paste, cleaned it and it still would over heat. Thank you so much. I really appreciate your video.
Those vacuum coolers work really good if you have a side exhaust vent. My temps went down 11C just with the vacuum cooler on at Max. It is really loud but if you wear a closed back headset that doesn't mean anything. Just make sure it can actually fit on your laptop and you have a side exhaust vent or you just wasted money.
This is a good video. Hope to see more of these as you guys find more neat things you think we'd like to know about.
You can use the USB-C to A adapter with your phone and any flash drive so you don't need to buy the Sandisk USB-C+A or any new one for that matter, you can even use an external ssd/hdd

The mentions about the E-Mark chip and the actual per port wattage output of the charger just goes to show how these guys pay close attention to little important details. Many "professionals" have missed out on these details. Respect HC!
@ConcreteComa there are a few others that also do but these are rare to find I also realized. then there are those who simply lie. there's no chip inside. some on prominent retailers
@ConcreteComa ahan. returning to the point that there not only needs to be more transparency about these (e-mark) labels but this needs to be standardized. unfortunately much of this has to do with something you were maybe alluding to as well.. which is the plethora of different - data throughput/features/power delivery/video standards - options in the USB 3.xx standard for the Type C connector. I was hoping USB-4 might bring it all in one to the highest data rate / power delivery / features / video in one but I am not sure it will have thunderbolt 4 level feature set. or maybe it will I am not sure yet. I hope it does because all this gets too confusing even for someone like me who does dig deeper in these attributes. much less for people who don't know anything about this and only go out purchasing a type c cable thinking it will have it all when it doesn't. I don't blame them. this needs to be simplified and standardized under 1 single type

Mini review of the Sandisk Drive after 4 years with it:
Perfect when transferring files to a phone with relatively slow storage but it gets HOT plugged in to a full fat PC; the thing will overheat in 10secs and drop transfer speeds from ~60mbps to 10mbps.
Can confirm this, the overheat is so stupid I have to get a fan to cool it down while transferring stuff and also you will have to take off phone cases or the usb drive will not fit on the type c port. Worst of all the retractable mechanism is badly designed so it would retract randomly when you are trying to plug it into usb port. 10/10 would not recommend.

Since it's not even a high performance mouse to make the receiver worth it, why not just go for a Bluetooth one?
The latency and if you have multiple bluetooth devices like headphones or a keyboard, it is even worse. Mouse is the only peripheral that I would avoid the bluetooth.
Agreed, I have a Microsoft Sculpt (old variant, not the weird round one) and I have not swapped batteries for almost 5 years now with on average 6 hours of usage a week.
The main problem with Bluetooth is.....windows.
@@HardwareCanucks my work laptop is connected via BT to my Logitech master. The first version, which I had since the start. Has been used on multiple windows laptops and Mbps and never had any issues.
Also never heard of other people complaining.
Only for gaming I use a different mouse.
I use my MX Master 2s with Bluetooth paired to my xps 15 at the same time it is also paired to my Jabra earbuds and have had no issues with the experience. Seriously as long as you're not gaming modern day Bluetooth works just fine. And much more convenient than having one of my ports constantly blocked by a receiver

For a mouse I stand by the Logitech MX 3 for Mac. Bluetooth capability, but you can also use any existing Logitech unifying receiver. Best mouse I've ever used on both PC and Mac.
I have a few suggestions that extended the lifespan of my t470:
- Docking station
- Kensington lock
- Proper fitting bag and sleeve
- Bluetooth mouse
- Tools to open (not just screwdrivers, pryer etc.), canned air to clean
- Additional RAM (really low hanging fruit if it's upgradeable and you're just running in single channel)
- Good new thermal paste while you are already at it
Dont forget the USB type C
Pro tip - plug the external cable into the adapter before plugging the adapter into the laptop. Less stress on the laptop port is good because it's the most annoying to replace.

@@ShadowzSharma every time you insert some sort of cable into a slot, you do a little bit of damage from rubbing and flexing. You generally want your cable to fail because it's cheaper to replace than the slot on your phone or laptop. If you want to put less stress on your laptop, you should insert the cable into the adapter first so that you don't apply flexing to your motherboard twice.

That USB A to USB C adapter; I've purchase one for my Alienware 17 R4 because it only has 2 USB Type A 3.0 ports which is really limited despite it's 17.3 heavy gaming laptop.
The cleaner seems like it be good for desktop use as well as mobile.
A kvm switch for usb devices is the best thing I've bought for work from home. One button switches my keyboard and mouse between my desktop or work laptop.
Logitech used to make a touch mouse, that was Bluetooth, it was great, and slim. I hope they bring it back, for traveling it was a fantastic product.
I remember some news about new laptop (maybe mac) glass display breaking while closing the lid with the privacy sticker for the camera
That opolar thing with a cooling pad is an amazing thing for very hot laptops
I like the original tiny DM USB-C adapters, they are these thin tiny things that slide into a male usb-a port without sticking out, essentially making it permanent USB-C device. Useful if your new USB-C only laptop is your main PC.
They also have a one that fits around male usb-a connector, it sticks out, but way way less than normal usb-c to usb-a adaptors - useful when you pull it off the usb-a cable a lot, but want something small as well.
You have to be careful with the USB-C adapters. There are some filtering/step-down electronics (a diode and a resistor, IIRC) that are frequently left out of cheaper adapters. The result can be damage to your electronics. There was a website/list maintained by Benson Leung of USB-C devices, but I haven’t needed to use it in some time.
The Amazon Basics laptop stand is also pretty useful. It is also pretty inexpensive and has built-in cable management (of sorts).
One accessory I would recommend is the Logitech M720. It's a mouse that can connect to up to 3 devices with Bluetooth, or if you want you can use the USB wireless receiver for one of the connections. You can leave the receiver in your desktop at home for one of the connections, and connect it to your laptop with Bluetooth for the second connection, and maybe your PC at work, or your phone, with the third. It supports Logitech Flow, and it has a button on the side that can be programmed with Logitech Options to do functions and macros with a press, and with a press and drag forward, back, left, and right. It also has Logitech's Hyper-Fast Scrolling feature. I love this mouse and use it as my main mouse. Also, it is usually pretty affordable on Amazon.

I have a thermaltake massive 20 RGB cooling pad and it brings temps on my MSI GE66 laptop down by about 9 degrees. It’s construction is pretty good. It makes it more comfortable to use my laptop. Especially with the feet out and putting my laptop at an angle towards me.
There are better looking ones out now. That I didn’t see when I bought it.
The Oxo cleaner looks like what I need. I can never get all the parts THERE when I want them.

Sadly, the sucking cooler was (1) much too loud and (2) totally cannot attach to my laptop, whose exhaust vents are between the hinges of the display.
Lenovo laptops aren't compatible haha

On that laptop cooler . . . wouldn't pulling more air through that vent faster, actually put more strain on the internal fan? In other words, would the air being pulled through the laptop cause that fan to try to spin faster than it's currently spinning? How would that impact the longevity of the fan? Or, would it simply reduce the resistance on the internal fans because something else is pulling air through the system? I'm very curious . . .

Imo, the best way to cool a laptop is by using a desk fan blowing across the area behind the keyboard. I use a Honeywell with high CFM, cheaper and likely much more effective than a gimmicky product. Also works no matter the style of laptop/notebook.
I have seen someone cracked the laptop hinge with the screen cleaning the wrong way.
With Screen Cleaner. Best to place the screen flat on the table. Might crack some plastic hinges or bend some weak metal ones or just crack the screen if too much flex.

Some are ok, and some are something that are extremely common at the front of a register as extras. I would have kept the title as "Cool Laptop Accessories" As "never heard of" may be for someone that hasn't bought a laptop and is new to tech. Still useful to those starting off their adventure.

3:30 I have the same one, and I actually don't recommend it. The slide and lock mechanism got loose pretty quickly, and every time I try to plug it in a slightly tighter USB port, it retracts itself. Also, the plastic tab where your thumb pushes broke off.
Buy the double sided, non retractable one instead.

Hey bud. I love these videos but something I think might be useful in the future, if it's not too much work, is time stamps so when I'm looking at a particular item I can click back to that time stamp and hear your thoughts again. I found myself rewinding a few times to make sure I was clicking the correct link in the description because I'm dumb and didn't write it down when you mentioned it so them being out of order there made me keep skipping around to hear your thoughts on them again.
If not it's ok. It's not that big of a hassle for me to scrub through, but it's something to consider if it's it's not too terribly difficult for you guys. If it's a pain I wouldn't worry about it.

I was hoping convert my usb C port into usb A . I look for some online and computer shop. They cost nearly 1k to 700 rupees (nearly 10 to 15 us dollar.)
Later I try out usb C otg for mobile which cost nearly 30 rupees (0.5 dollar).
And it works fine and its also small too.

Hello, I have a question regarding Razer keycaps but even their support couldnt answer me 100% sure. I have a blackwidow orange UK-layout, can I use PBT keycaps used on the Huntsman or they won't fit ?
Wont fit, blackwidow bottom row is different to huntsman key layout. I was going to get hyperx pudding keycap until i realise this.

Instead of buying the magnet stands and fans, use two plastic bottle caps you get from your mount dew. As long as your laptop is elevated you will increase air flow. If there are vents in the bottom. Don't waste your money on the usb vent and magnet stands.
The laptop cooler can damage the notebook fan if it make spin higher than it's supposed to spin

My phone came with a 160Watt USB-C charger. I use that charger for everything. laptop, phone, tablet, Bluetooth speaker, AR glasses etc. because everything will charge with whatever the hardware will be able to draw! sometimes i even connect a USB-C hub and just charge a bunch of devices at the same time. My phone is the only device i have that will be able to draw the full 160 Watt

I need some clarifications on the Sandisk dual flashdrive. Apparently according to local online shopping reviewers a TV can't detect the drive. Is this true?
If a tv cant read a USB, then the tv can’t read the format, try reformating it to Fat or exFat, it’s supported by old hardware.
Dont buy it, the flash drive heats up faster than a hand warmer when reading/ writing, also retractable mechanism is trash.
