  • Affirmations, what even are they? We sometimes struggle to know ourselves, maybe we don't use affirmations so find it really difficult to explain them to our child.
    Affirmations shouldn't be used as a way of suppressing or bottling up difficult emotions that we feel, they should be used proactively and to help lift us up once we have moved through the difficult feelings.
    They can also help us to remember that moments pass, situations change and that we can get through it once we hit a bump in the road.
    This video can be used to support children's understanding (and our own) as well as give valuable ideas of good affirmations to practice with...enjoy!
