I use their cooling post-shave balm for sensitive skin and that does a great job soothing any irritation I have left over from shaving after applying my alum block.

Bob, I'm also curious as to why some Nivea products are on the shelves here but others and absent. The post have balms are readily available at my local grocery stores and pharmacies. But the shave cream is nowhere to be found on those same shelves.

Burning sensation could be due to alcohol BUT it most likely is an allergic reaction to one or more ingredients. I used the Vikings Blade Black Ocean shaving cream and it burned my whole face and neck very thoroughly. I am extremely allergic to any kind of pollen, the package did say it is 100% natural so its probably full of potent pollen. Anyways yeah, 3 hours after the 4 pass shave and chemical burn was very intense. Skin started to peel off and was very tight, dry and brittle. From now on I simply buy extra senitive bar soaps, use a cheese grate to break them apart add some deep moisturizing liquid hand soap and quality shampoo plus 30% of extra virgin coconut oil and camphor oil. I have to tell you quite honestly- for sensitive skin to me personally, there could not be a more perfect mixture of shaving cream.

Miki, thanks for the kind words. I'm sorry to hear that Nivea didn't work for you. What I like to do when this happens, is set it aside and wait a week or two. Sometimes we come back with a fresh perspective. However, the old shaving rule of YMMV may be applicable here.

I don't know what i did the first time i think i cive here more water and i came to thin.. For the money its very impressive for sure proraso level you just have to use a bit more greame i think

@@mikithocharous3584 Aha! it sounds like you did what I sometimes do. If something doesn;t work for me (shave cream/soap, razor, blade, etc.) I set it aside for a few days or a week or so and come back to it. Often times, that new perspective and approach results in a much better result. Not sure why, it just works that way for me.

Brain, I like it a lot.:) Nice subdued scent, yet fresh.:) Good protection and it doesn't irritate. Some wet shavers have said that certain creams will actually burn, just a little bit, when painting it on. Perhaps they didn't add enough water? I don't know. But Nivea doesn't burn or irritate, that's for sure.:)

15 + shipping for 3 tubes? Damn that's what, 6, 7 bucks a tube? Where I live it's 1.20-ish and it's everywhere, like seriously everywhere, if I went to a well stocked grocery store the chance is that I can pick it up. It's an insanely great product for its money, hope it gains traction over the seas and becomes readily available, it's a good entry point and if you don't like it it isn't such a waste like something niche

I tried Taylor of old sandalwood shaving soap and it burnt my face so bad I had to go outside in the middle of the night to walk around and get cold air on my face, since then I use Palmolive shaving cream its a bit stingy but bearable and so I dry shave most of the time with a Philips sensitive skin electric rotating heads electric razor, I would like to go back to wet shaving and I will try the nivia shaving cream as I have used the nivia shooting after shave shooting cream and worked very well with my skin so I am hoping that the shaving cream variant will be the same, it's not available in my country so I will have to order it in Amazon also but if it reacts well with my skin it will be worth it and for anyone wondering if it might be my razor or blades causing my skin to burn, I use a mercur 34c with Gillette parlour mild de blades.

And I would like to ask you if you know any other soaps or creams that have simiral slickness cause I do not really like the Nivea scent. Thank you in advance.

geo S, I really like the shave soaps and balms form Phoenix Shaving. They have two formulas: Original Crown King formula (CK-1) and the upgrade to that known as CK-6. Both make beautiful lathers. The Star Jellys (their after shave balm) has a nice consistency and is quickly absorbed. Star Jelly also has a touch of menthol.

@@geos7432 YMMV.:) I think it's some of the best shaving soaps around.:) Rich, creamy lather with wonderful glide and slickness.:) However, I'm a face latherer. so, I use shave soap more than I do shaving creams.
