This is a great example of how the marketing campaign usually has nothing to do with how the fragrance will actually smell.
I really appreciate people who judge a fragrance's actual scent as the top priority. After all, when you're wearing it, no one is seeing the presentation. Or the advertising. Oh the mercy.

Great review, the smell is absolutely amazing, this fragrance is so absolutely underrated, one of the best winter fragrances imo

Dont be fooled this fragrance is amazing.. its unique strong and niche quality for sure i definitely say its niche. I just received it in the mail.. dont judge a book by its cover.. trust me buy this before the hype and reformulations i dont get paid like these you tubers.. get it now while there isnt much hype..

This is a great fragrance! I love it, it smells like nothing in the designer world, it projects and it lasts and lasts! My girlfriend loves it too. I am the kind of person that doesn't care about anything else but the smell, so of course I gave it a go and I fell in love instantly. I bought a 100 ml bottle for 75$ and it's all worth it. Get over the commercial and bottle and you'll get yourself an amazing designer fragrance!

The ad is dumb, there's no denying it. However... It got stuck in my mind and I bought it to see what it smells like - and I haven't been disappointed. It smells really addictive, really a masterful blend.

I have Gucci Guilty absolute and I am happy that I bought it as a blind buy cause if I had seen reviews I would be scared to pick it up. I absolutely love it. Absolutely different and great for cold weather.

I absolutely love it! The smell is fantastic and it lasts FOREVER! Just got done with one bottle and ordered a new one straight away!

@@FurryLover01 i cant pin point notes like these reviewers but i know im picky, and everyone loves the fragrances i pick out.. i get a sweet leathery, fruity, spicy scent in a niche most unique way.. if you dont like unique dont even buy it.. i just bought kajal sawlaj niche like 200$ a middle eastern spicy leather fragrance i love it but this is a better more wearable leather hard to explain.. i dont wanna hype it up because they will reformulate it or discontinue it but its worth the 60$ if you like what i explained above and its a pretty strong fragrance first day testing it.. im definitely gunna buy another bottle..
@@FurryLover01 also i blind bought this before i seen ash review or anyone else review. To me its intriguing ill need more testing for performance. My skin drinks cologne up so most fragrances dont last longer then 4-6hrs on my skin even beast mode fragrances very few actually last on my skin. But i can see this lasting on someone whos body chemistry holds fragrances well to last 8-12hrs and garner compliments as well.
Just watched the ad for the fragrance and they need to take a class in marketing. Not once did they ever say the name of the person releasing the fragrance.

@@aljan6 they’re both pretty similar to each other. Dark Rebel Rider is slightly smoother and a bit powdery, but they’re both leather heavy fragrances
How much is the PP? Heard $37 for 50 ml but sold out.
I have a bottle, I don't like the scent but it is quite strong... I barely wear it, wear the Bulgari Glacial essence and Club de nuit more

The Aventus curse
There's a fragrance made by one of the largest commercial beer companies here in Australia. No, it's not Foster's. But you're kinda close. It's Victoria Bitter.
If you think that's funny it gets even better. VB have infused this fragrance with the same hops they use in their beer.
Fragrantica haven't bothered giving it a listing on their website and I haven't tried it yet. I'm expecting something that will cover the smell of sweat with beer so that you come across a little more classy joining the lads for after work schooners.
I guess it's marketed to people who love doing field sobriety tests.

I found a sample of this in my mailbox. The leather note is SO strong and makes me want to throw up! No joke lol smells so animalic to me
I tried this 2 times and every time for me it smells awful,it smells like I put my hand into an ash tray combined with water. That's all I smell

How did I miss this fragrance?
Smelled it when it came out here in the Netherlands over a year ago. I found the opening very loud (leather) and was off putting to me. Smelled it a times after it and it got better to my nose but not enough to buy it as I'm not really into leather scent. It's indeed a scent for the cooler weather and ages 21+. Though a sales lady told me that a 15 yrs old boy bought it as his signature scent. Guess I need to get another sample lol

I easily caught the leather, then cinnamon and woods. Sweetness is apparently vanilla. There's an odd note probably clove/anise combo. Not bad just different

I think you have too see phillip plein with a sense of post irony to really appreciate it. PP is actually the perfect continuation of Maison Margielas universe

I have no acquaintance with this Phillip guy (the commercial made him looks like a discount Dan Bilzerian to me) so I came to it pretty natural.
To me it felt like a well crafted mess. On me it had a strong smell of Marijuana and spices (go figure). It was nice but I couldn't think of a single event I would possibly wear it. It's not official or casual, nor fits a certain season.
Better presentation then a $400 bottle of Aventus

Philipp doesn't care what people think about his advertising...blah blah blah. At the end of the day his products may be flashy, over the top, and not for everyone but they are top quality. The material, the craftsmanship, the fit...all top notch. I own several products...polos, button-ups, jeans, jackets, multiple tennis shoes. You can not beat the quality or the fit. Have not purchase either one of his fragrances but I will after watching this video.

Took me a while… but I realized what this cologne smells like…. Tiger balm. That stuff you put on your skin for muscle pain. Only, this has a chocolate note with it. I actually like it.
