ReachStacker Container Pivot Attachment - Hyster® Special Truck Engineering

Hyster was presented with the challenge of moving and unloading containerised bulk cargo using one machine.
The Customer - Active in the recycling industry, our customer transports wood chips in containers using trains and lorries. At their own terminal, containers full of wood chips need to be emptied in an efficient way for further transportation over the road.
The Challenge - To empty wood chip containers into lorries, they need to be pivoted at full height, allowing a correct flow of the bulk goods from one container into another.
The Solution - Together with suppliers, Hyster developed an attachment fitted on a RS45-31 CH ReachStacker which allows lifting and pivoting of the 20ft containers. This results in easy, efficient and cost effective transhipment of wood chips.
