Sometimes when I buy walnut pieces they are clean and other times there is this black stuff that smells and tastes bad. The bags are often labeled premium whether they're covered with the black stuff or not and often the plastic window on the bag is too small. How do I know if I'm getting the nice clean stuff? And what use is the dirty stuff? I don't see any advantage for the customer in getting the nasty stuff. Its a nightmare to try to clean at home.
