Let's be honest, this is proof that we're paying all that money for cardboard Strap.. ugh
...and not so perfect "paint by hand" on belts with colors and minor scratches. I recently bought a replica of the NWA World Championship from Pakistan. Now I hope I can buy some polish that will take the scratch out of the main plate because if I send it back I might not get a replacement or my money back. I contacted the company and never got a answer.
Thanks for the video, I found it to be interesting to the point of wondering what the so called "Elite Series" belts are made of? I know that in their description it is called "100% Genuine Leather" ?
I wish I could get a leather strap for my spinner belt but I spent most of my savings on the belt itself

I'm curious about what's in the new fandu luxe strap.. for the price of it I hope it's good quality but I don't wanna buy it if the strap will crack open

Very informative, a really good resource for people to know what these straps are made of. Now it bears the question, who thought it was a good idea to use cardboard inside something that's meant to flex and curve around someone's waist?

yeah that was funny i was at some point wanting to buy them thinking the price they charged you was getting a decent belt but then after watching the gumby video i thought nah its best just to pay more and you get the real thing (plate wise at least anyway) then have paul releather them lol

The Gumby belt wasn’t his to cut open, unfortunately. He had to return it to the original owner. 😔

@@SalvadorSalcido Last I remember, didn't he have a fandu version replacing it anyways? Maybe I'm mistaken but if I recall he did and if that's the case, I'm sure he could've cut it open for us all to see
@@hardyz703 The Gumby bootleg had to be returned in the same condition as I received it unfortunately. I do have another one of those terrible bubble belts on the way soon though which I will be able to cut open 😁

Next time cut a Deluxe or ultra Deluxe version of the straps
You should cut into some of those cheap bootleg “real leather” straps with the puffy back.

It makes you scratch your head how they thought putting cardboard like material in a belt was a good idea, and they are still doing it unfortunately. But how would you make a material that isn’t real leather be flexible enough that it isn’t too flexible like the Fandu straps, and it isn’t inflexible like the WWE straps?.

I have the 2019 Intercontinental championship it’s my first belt. I’ve had it for only 9 months the strap is tearing a little and it has creases next to the side plates. I’m definitely gonna next to get it releathered.

I honestly don't care what the straps are made of. I don't care about the stones on the belt or the tooling on the strap. I just think its cool we get a chance to own something like our favorite superstars have on tv. A bit pricey but wwe is a major company. I don't wear my belts or play with them. Mine are on display and they are a good conversation piece when someone wants to know what my interests are
Great that’s all that matters. There is a huge section of the belt community that do care though and that is the purpose of these videos. Many people are obsessed with having the exact thing as used on TV and will spend $10k+ to get these.
By the way the 2019 one is the current NXT Championship not the intercontinental
