I just love the way you describe the books you’re reading. I really only read one genre (fiction/fantasy), but I’m inspired to branch out after hearing you speak so intelligently about other genres.

I stayed in Palermo for a month during June/July last year and absolutely hated it, and I didn’t find the food very good either, it’s so nice to know I’m not the only one

初めまして。"parisienne vlog"と検索してやって来ました。日本人です。カナダもイタリアも行ったことありませんが、パレルモの料理、美味しそうですね。動画良かったです。ありがとう。ウニが苦手なご様子ですね。私も最初ウニは苦手でしたが、値段の高いウニを食べた時に好きになりました。まぁ、ウニは人によって好き嫌いが結構分かれる食べ物ですよね。話が逸れますが、ワサビなどもそうですが、安物や新鮮で無い物は辛いだけで美味しくないです。また、高価なワサビだとしてもおろし方が悪いと辛くなってしまいますね。もし、日本に来られることがありましたら、再度ウニにチャレンジもですが、鰻や穴子、魚卵、生魚、生卵、日本のカレー、飲み物ですと日本酒・梅酒・桃酒など試してみられてはいかがでしょう。多くの訪日外国人観光客が苦手だったり、初体験で試して好きになったものです。

It looks like you don't like sea urchins. I also didn't like sea urchin at first, but when I tried the expensive sea urchin, I started to like it. Well, sea urchin is a food that people either like or dislike.
On a different note, but the same goes for wasabi, but if it's cheap or not fresh, it's only spicy and not tasty. Also, even if the wasabi is expensive, if it is grated incorrectly, it will be spicy.
If you ever come to Japan, you may want to try sea urchin again, but why not try eel and conger eel, fish roe, raw fish (There are many more than just tuna and salmon), raw eggs, Japanese style curry, and drinks such as sake (Nihon-shu), plum wine (japanese apricot sake "Ume-shu"), and peach wine (japanese peach sake "momo-shu") etc (Drinking in Japan is over 20 years old). It's something that many foreign tourists visiting Japan don't like, or they try it for the first time and fall in love with it.
