    This is brilliant! Not only is this one of the most well-produced Railroad tour videos I've seen on TH-cam, but as a former Calico Railroad train robber myself (Knotts) and an avid Disney fan, the inspiration for your designs & story truly seeps through every detail on the layout. I'm watching videos on TH-cam to inspire myself to create something when I finally get a home to do so and this is by far the most inspiring display I have seen yet. I guess I'm just a little jealous I didn't think of this first ;).

    Okay this is absolutely an amazing little layout you've built. As soon as I saw the thumbnail my brain said 'Big Thunder Mountain,' which is also one of my favorite rides at Disneyland.

    Beyond amazing. You raised the bar so high, I don't think anyone can top this. Huge fan of Disney/Knotts train and Frontier areas, you really did get them all in one.

    That’s fantastic Dave, I so happy you still have a lot to do. I would have been devastated had you said, well folks, that all. I found this channel a few months ago, have watched every video and love when new ones come out. If you can’t tell I’m just starting my own O Gauge layout. Just ordered the bench work but the planning has begun. Thanks for all you do. Again it’s fantastic.

    I've been following this project on and off for some time now, and it's amazing to finally see this video tour. Given that you've incorporated Thunder Mesa from Disneyland Paris, are there any plans to incorporate Ravenswood Manor/Phantom Manor into the layout, since that's a key part of the French park's Frontierland storyline?

    • @ThunderMesaStudio
      @ThunderMesaStudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I've thought about it. The problem is finding the space for it!

    • @rbdaviesTB3
      @rbdaviesTB3 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ThunderMesaStudio More than fair, and it's amazing how much you've already compressed into such a compact layout. I can only imagine what else you would do with more space besides Phantom Manor - Fort Wilderness and the Timber Mountain Logging Co. spring to mind!

    The theme for my HO layout also has a lot of influence from Walt Disney and I've had a lot of inspiration from Disneyland, Walt Disney World(in fact the Magic Kingdom and Disney's Animal Kingdom) and Paris Disneyland. I'm still yet to get started however. I've gotten a lot of inspiration from many fictional railroads as well such as the Hogwarts Express from the Harry Potter series.

    Appreciate the overview. I find this kind of video very helpful. The one thing that would have been interesting is if you could have inserted a master shot of the original 3’ x 6’ layout just so I could see the beginnings.

    I know its not exactly thunder mountain or western related, but have you thought about making an add on taking inspiration from grizzly river run in DCA?

    • @ThunderMesaStudio
      @ThunderMesaStudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have thought about it. If I ever add a high country scene it will have a Grizzly Peak feel for sure.
